Dog Training
I cannot say enough good things about Rogue Canine and Ella! My 3-year-old Great Dane, Ruckus, recently completed a 6-week board and train, and the transformation has been nothing short of incredible.
Before training, Ruckus was highly reactive to both people and other dogs. I couldn’t take him out in public, and anytime someone came over, I had to kennel him to avoid a stressful situation. His obedience was entirely on his terms—if he wasn’t too distracted or excited, he might listen.
Fast forward to now—Ruckus is a completely different dog in the best way possible. He is calm, polite, and well-mannered in public. He meets new people and dogs with a gentle demeanor, and his obedience is consistent regardless of the environment or distractions. It’s been such a relief to be able to include him in more of our daily life without the anxiety that used to come with his behavior.
Ella is not only an exceptional dog trainer, but she’s also incredibly communicative, supportive, and thorough. She kept me updated throughout the entire process, and what really sets her apart is how well she trained me too. She made sure I understood how to maintain and reinforce everything Ruckus learned, giving me the tools and confidence to carry his progress forward at home.
Rogue Canine is worth every single penny. In fact, I was so impressed that I’ve already started training my other dog with Ella as well. I’ve been enthusiastically recommending Rogue Canine to my family, friends, coworkers, and basically anyone who owns a dog. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly understands dogs and cares deeply about their success—and yours as an owner—look no further.
Thank you, Ella and Rogue Canine, for giving Ruckus (and me) a new lease on life!

I cant even begin to describe how much this training has helped my dog. My dogs name is Juno and she is a boxer with very high anxiety, and just for the week after having her back she has made so much progress. She no longer tugs on the leash, she doesn't anxiously pace around the house, and she listens to us so much better. Just looking at the photos and videos we got sent you can tell she had an amazing experience. It was for sure a rocky start when Juno came home but we continue working and we see so much progress with her. I would recommend this training course to anyone searching to help their dog. More...

(redoing my review because I wanted to add more!)
I sent my poodle mix Chai here for 6 weeks because she was starting to get reactive.
Now that she’s back home she’s been so good! Yesterday was her first day back and we were supposed to take everything slow so that she transitions well but, as I was in my back yard with her, one of my neighbors was trying to walk their very very reactive dog and so their dog started barking/lunging/growling at chai from a small distance. I was absolutely amazed at how chai didn’t even react back and actually stayed in a sit and then a heel to go back. She checked in with me and I rewarded her heavily for how well she did on the first day back with something so unexpected! Elisabeth is worth it she really knows what she’s doing!! The whole time she’s been back chai has been heeling and checking in a lot with me and every time I reward her for it. Before, she’d be in la la land 99% of the time and now she’s done a complete 180! During the 6 weeks I got tons of updates and Ella was so good at having constant communication with me along with sending videos and pictures! She also allows and encourages visitations during training which was so nice because I missed Chai a ton! She was also SOOO great at answering any questions I had after taking her home and during training as well. It was wonderful to see how chai went from always being scared of everything and barking to being a bit more confident (i’m sure even more so with time) and even getting into the car all by herself!

We sent our Belgian Malinois, Rayo, to Liz for obedience and leash training and we are SO glad we did! He stayed with her for a month, and the entire time she kept us updated with videos and progress reports, which gave us so much peace of mind.
Even after training was done, Liz went above and beyond by sending us detailed videos on how to keep his training consistent at home. Rayo is still very much a puppy, but he’s definitely more relaxed now… well, a little more relaxed 🤣
The biggest win? He listens so much better, especially around our little ones. That alone makes a huge difference and helps keep everyone safe during his occasional bursts of energy.
We’ll definitely be back for his next training session with the e-collar that Liz recommended. She was truly a life saver and such a joy to work with.
Thank you, Liz! You’re the best! 🐾

Ella, from the start, was super informative and communicative which was so appealing and not not so common these days! I had lots of questions and concerns and she guided me through the initial process very well! My English Cream Golden Retriever puppy Mack needed some puppy training and I knew I couldn’t do it by myself, being disabled, so I’m grateful to have found Ella and The Rogue Canine. We did the 4 week Puppy Board and Train program and he was well cared for, protected, and gained some new friends, along with his training! He came home with the necessary tools to help me continue his training a heck of a lot better. Trusting someone with your furry baby is not an easy thing but Ella made sure to keep my mind at ease and updated me daily on his progress via text, calls, and videos which I loved!! Mack and I thank her for all her help!! More...

Ella did a wonderful job with our boys. We have two Australian Shepherds, aged 3 years and 6 years, both male. In the last year, they started getting into arguments with each other and it eventually escalated to the point where the younger boy didn't want to even be in the same room with the older. We called Ella. She took Bear (older) first to begin working with him and then we brought Banjo (younger) a few weeks later. She kept us updated with pictures and letting us know how they were doing. Our biggest priority was that we would be able to have them both coexist in our home again without the fights. She kept them for several weeks and, at the end of it, we staggered bringing them home. She provided instructions for maintaining the structure from the training environment, which would give us our best chance at a successful transition back at home and the best long-term results. Holding to the rules, now that we have both boys back home, has allowed us to have the boys existing neutrally in the same household again. In addition, Ella followed up with us afterward to see how things were going and has continued to make herself available to answer questions and assist with troubleshooting when scenarios arose. I've been able to resume having both boys in the yard together for frisbee, and I'm able to walk them without being dragged up and down the street, which I've never been able to manage with them. We are continuing to maintain the structure set in the training environment in order to not have the boys regress into resource guarding, which was our issue at the start. She made it possible for me to keep both of my boys! More...

Dog Training
Ella is an angel. We got our first dog from a shelter over 6 years ago and we decided to adopt a German to be his buddy and he had someone to play with. Turns out they did not like each other at all and I was freaking out because no way was I giving him back to the shelter. Ella called me and was so reassuring. I sent the dogs to a 6 week board and train program. She sent constant updates, sent us progress videos, and allowed us to come and visit whenever we wanted. The dogs came back not only best friends, but had such good manners. We can now take our German off leash and have the full confidence that he will never run away and always listen. Our other dog was harder to breakthrough, but Ella was so patient and even took some extra time on him. We still use her for boarding, and it is so relieving to know our dogs are in a safe loving environment. If you are considering any sort of training, Ella is your girl. More...

If I could give Ella more than 5 stars I completely would. She completely changed my relationship with me and my dog. We got my puppy Kona at 15 weeks rather than 8 so she had all these bad habits to break, mind you I was a stay at home dog mom at the time and spent so much time with her and she was way more than I could handle, I broke down to my spouse one day and was just so completely lost on what to do. Didn’t matter how many videos I’d watch, just wouldn’t work. She listened so good in the home but out side of the home was a no go. We love every second outdoors and spending time with friends and family, moving constantly due to my spouses job, so for her to not listen outside of the home was unbearable. At first I was skeptical, I filled out a questionnaire on some website that I’ve never heard of and heard back from 2 other people that just didn’t fit quite right. Ella messaged me and I knew right away she was perfect! Kona is a completely new pup but in a good way. Same personality but better mannered. Ella went above and beyond our expectations and if I could say one thing, if you got this far into the review, hire her. She’s amazing. Completely worth it, she’s there every step of the way, even after the pup is finally home and feels like family!! Cannot thank her enough!! ❤️ More...

I am so happy that I did a six week train for my dog! I Have a four year old German Shepherd that just needed help with his anxiety and listening skills!
He was stubborn and only wanted to do what he wanted to do! Ella helped make him calmer, listen better, and gave me tools to help us at home continue with his training.
We love our dog so much. He is part of the family so it was very hard to hand him over for six weeks. We are so glad we did and some thing that made me feel really good about sending him when she dropped him off. He jumped back into her car (Which makes me know that he loved her) Thank you Ella 🩷

Otto and Sadie went to see Ella for a board and train. They returned 2 different dogs. Excellent leash manners, they enjoy "crate time" and actually listen now. She taught the correct way to use the e-collar and prong collars as these two where very protective in nature. We have also used Rogue for boarding when needed and they come back relaxed and happy. I would recommend them highly for training and/or boarding. More...

My puppy Ace has been through a board and train, as well as regularly goes to daycare and overnights with Ella. I was sent updates every day, she let me know what they worked on, what he was doing well and anything he was struggling with and how to continue working on it at home. She even gave us free lessons after his board and train. She was very knowledgeable with the breed and helping me get a head start to set him up for success as he'll be a huge boy and I have small kids. He got to go on field trips with her pups to nearby trails too even got to jump in the creek! Whenever he visits he always runs up to her gate where his friends were excitedly waiting to play. I always recommend Ella if you want your pup to be safe and treated like her own. Thank you so much for being the best aunty for my boy! More...

We sent our 7 month old German Shepard to Rogue Canine earlier this year. Ella picked up our pup, Cody Bear, from our place for a room and board for 6 weeks. She took her time with him to ensure he was fully comfortable (he is a very anxious and reactive pup). We ended up having him stay for 9 weeks for a more in-depth training and we couldn’t be happier! Cody used to have terrible leash manners, lunge at people and play bite. He finally understands no means no lol. We take him on daily walks with ease now! Sometimes he lets out a bark, but with correction it stops almost immediately. We will definitely be doing refresher sessions and sending him to Ella for boarding when out of town. She always sends videos and pictures to show progress (which we loved since we missed our boy). And she still follows up with us and sends advice our way. Loved the experience and highly recommend! Absolutely the best training experience EVER! Both of our pups LOVE Auntie Ella and Phoebe even loves training. Gates is our old guy and he does what Ella tells him but he is not much into “working” most days. That does NOT mean he does not do as he is asked btw! That just means he has a sad face about it sometimes 😂. He is the black poodle in some of the posts I see on The Rogue Canine. So you can go see the “face” he gives”. 😂 But Ella has done so well with BOtH of them!! We recommend her and her board and train program specifically with absolutely no reservations! 🤔 Though maybe I shouldn’t say that since we definitely don’t want her to stop having space for Phoebe and Gates to come back and board when we have to be out of town 🤔. Ella did an amazing job with our 8 lb dog, Ion. Before starting training with the Rogue Canine Ion was aggressive towards other people and dogs. He would bark excessively, was biting, and overall very aggressive. We had tried everything we could think of to help him and nothing was working and he was only getting worse. He came back from training with Ella and was a new dog. We could take him for walks without him lunging at others , we could have guests over without him barking excessively the entire time the guest was over, and overall enjoy activities dog owners like to do with their dogs. Ella built a great foundation that we have been able to build upon in a way we never imagined. We are so grateful for Ella and her ability to listen to Ion, teach him (and us) and help him become more confident in himself. We struggled to find consistent boarding and training with past businesses however none could deal with our Mochi boy as well as Ella. Ella also does not just disappear after your scheduled training or boarding, she will always check in with us and see how Mochi is doing and really cares about the development of our Mochi and you can’t find that just anywhere. I had my puppy Rufus go through a puppy board and train at 12 weeks, in 4 weeks he grew into a confident puppy that I could take into town and he was focused all on me even with other dogs walking by. I wanted a brewery dog so Ella made it a point to work with him at different breweries around town to help prep him. We have gone a couple times since he graduated and he settles well even for being so young and ignored distractions like a champ. She taught me how to channel his energy into play and not get the excited nibbles on me instead. We are currently doing adventure days, she picks up and drops off so he can continue to work on obedience, out in public and at her house. He loves playing with her dogs. Once he’s old enough we will be doing another board and train to do advance off leash. Ella has become a part of the family and we are so thankful for everything she does for Rufus. Bonus is all the videos and pictures we get of his adventures! More...

We just got our little man, Tino back from Von Tore and he spent a good 6-7 weeks with her for his anxiety and stranger danger. Our dog was a dog that would have literal panic attacks multiple times per day, would not let a stranger in our home without barking and trying to lunge, and unpredictable on walks at who and what he would react to. Not to mention extreme anxiety in a car. The most obvious and most important thing we noticed was his state of mind getting him back. He was so much more calm and showed very little anxiety. She was more than helpful in showing us everything he had learned before we went home, so we could be set up for success with him. AND make sure we saw what he knew so he didn't try to play us once we were home. the last couple days he has definitely tried to play us, but it has not been too bad at all speaking she followed up with a great routine for us to do for the first two weeks, so Tino understood those rules applied now at home. He has had O panic attacks in our home, he is now crate trained and walks right into his crate when told, and eats his food when it's time (never did this before). We have yet to take him anywhere, but when we work outside our condo complex he does amazing. Sits, knows down, comes when called, has just "watched" people walk past us.. it's really a 360. We utilize the ecollar exactly how we were taught and it is an amazing communication tool between us and him now. No yelling, or panicking just pure communication. People that think it is "cruel" or anything negative clearly has not had a dog that isn't just your average "pet dog". Even then everyone should use it. Very grateful we found Ella and can't wait to see how far Tino comes. More...

We picked up our 11 month old Labrador, Sam, 4 days ago from his board and train session with Ella. He is "the new and improved" Sam.
He is well behaved in the house; is easy to walk on a leash (off leash too); and most importantly, he doesn't jump on strangers or us any more. Ella taught him how to greet politely. Ella listened to all the areas we were having problems with Sam; and she worked on every one of them. She kept in touch with me everyday to let me know how Sam was doing, what they worked on that day, and what his trouble areas seemed to be. She sent me videos of their training sessions and even pictures of him bonding with her dogs. Sam just loves her dogs.
Ella had us come out and work with Sam and instructed us on how to handle different situations. She helped fine tune our interactions with Sam. She even asked to keep him a couple of extra days to work on some of his weak areas. She wanted him at his best before he came home to us.
Today she contacted me to check on how Sam was doing. Reminding me that she is always here to help us if we encounter any rough spots or if we need refreshers of how to keep his obedience up. We are thoroughly impressed with Ella’s skills for training dogs and her true concern that we are satisfied with the progress Sam made. I would definitely recommend Ella to my friends and family who need assistance with their dogs.

Today I picked up my mini aussie, Sammy, from his four week board and train with Ella and I am blown away. Sammy is a sweet boy but he was always anxious and extremely easily distracted while outside.
He had no recall abilities and I couldn't take him for a walk without a prong collar, and even then he would still pull. I discussed these concerns as well as many others with Ella prior to the board and train and I never in a million years thought she would be able to address all of them, let alone in four weeks, but she did. She is seriously dedicated and passionate about what she does.
Upon seeing Sammy after four weeks I barely recognized the dog in front of me. He was calm, cool, collected, and attentive. A huge contrast from the anxious, neurotic and unfocused dog I had dropped off four weeks ago. He is also completely off leash obedient, able to walk loose leash just using his normal collar, and killing it at heel on and off leash. He stays close when off leash and he actually listens instead of ignoring you and focusing on surrounding distractions. I could sense how calm his energy was and felt so at ease with him off leash following us around the park. He's an off leash dream come true! Ella also took the time to teach him appropriate behaviors around other dogs/animals and people. She even broke him of his bad house habits like counter surfing, begging for food, and harassing the cat. She is seriously dedicated and passionate about what she does. I can't say enough good things about my experience with Ella. I would recommend this program to anyone looking to improve their communicate and trust in their dog while off leash as well as have a training plan that is completely customized to their dog's needs. This is one of the best investments I've made and something that has change my relationship with my dog forever. Thank you to Ella for everything!

I can’t praise Ella enough for the kind, thoughtful, and for her expertise. Every penny we spent was well worth it. Ella understood how much I love my dog, but I was very concerned about his behavior.
Ella understood how much I love my dog, but his behavior left a lot to be desired, he is a blue heeler after all. She took him home and began to work with him immediately. Out of the blue, a nice couple came looking for a blue heeler as they had lost their wonderful pet a few weeks prior. Chester settled right in and now looks as spoiled as ever and a very happy pup. Ella did everything she promised and more.
The most important thing I asked of her was to teach him some manners, and to find people who loved him as much as I did. She did all of that. Ella has stayed in contact with me and his new people making sure he is set up for success for a lifetime. I would recommend this group of highly trained people to anyone who needs the best for their pet. I can’t really praise them enough. Special thanks to Ella. Kath Sundberg.

We sent our 2 and a half year old Australian
Shepherd to Ella for a board and train program. Prior to the training, Freya was anxious and it was challenging to keep her on task and focused.
She has been home now for 3 weeks, and she's like an entirely new dog! Ella was great at answering all questions, concerns and sending updates throughout her time there, she's also honest and straight forward! This training has allowed us to allow Freya to enjoy life with us even more and has given her confidence as she now understands how to communicate.
Prior to training, if someone was walking by our house, there was no recalling her, now I haven't found a distraction too big to hold her attention. She also LOVES training time now, she's Definitely more excited to train than to go on a walk. If you're questioning whether or not to go with Ella, do it. You won't regret it!

When my dog went to Ella, he was a 12 month old German Shepherd with bad separation anxiety and had no recall. Now I can take him to public places and make him stay in a down position with the "place" command while I walk away until I say "break" or use the hand motion for the command.
He is a completely different dog. I am not saying he is perfect, but he is great. I work with him daily to keep him in check. I have neighbors now asking me if I'm a dog trainer and asking for Ella’s information. I plan on sending my future pup to Ella as well. My last German Shepherd went through multiple trainers throughout his life but my male looks as though Ella will be all he needs for the duration of his life for basic obedience. He is so behaved now. I went ahead and bought some of Ella’s favorite items and they've been so useful in my home. The treadmill is my dog's favorite! He loves getting on it to run. I don't even have to tether him up to the treadmill at all; he just gets on it and keeps moving with the machine. Ella showed me videos of Bronco on hers at his B&T and she told me he really enjoyed it so I just had to buy it for him. I feel like it calms him down a lot and living in the PNW, it's going to be a lifesaver in the fall/winter. He has always been horrible in a kennel and he used to be able to break out of the collapsible kennels. Now I can leave him in the kennel without worrying about him escaping or hurting himself; not to mention his kennel manners are much better! He does wake up still and bark sometimes but then he goes right back to sleep. He no longer is up all night long barking/screaming. Damaging the kennel and hurting himself. He is no longer escaping or chewing on furniture or shoes in the house. I got more than what I expected to receive through the board & train program. used to not be able to go to the restroom without my dog at my feet or trying to get into the shower with me.
Now he knows that he needs to stay in a command or with another person if I tell him to, rather than chase after me. I also bought a cot for him to "place" on and it has become his area in the house to go to while I am doing things in the kitchen or living room. I highly recommend Ella as a trainer and I felt much more comfortable with her knowing she has her own working lines in her home. I wanted Grizz to go to someone who was experienced with his breed and I found someone with more than the experience I was looking for. I'm super excited to see how my friend's dogs all return too as they've began scheduling with Ella after seeing how Bronco returned. It's also a bonus that she sends photo and video updates to her clients of their dogs throughout the duration of their program. I myself was in tears dropping my dog off because I had zero faith that he was even going to make it one night before getting sent back home to me. Turns out he wasn't even that bad but prior to the B&T, he would SCREAM and panic if I tried leaving his sight even if he was with someone he knew. I honestly can't express my happiness with this program in words enough. Thank you Ella! Bronco is a much happier and better version of himself.

We reached out in dire need of help after adopting our puppy, Mira,
who came to us with severe general and separation
anxiety to the point where she wouldn't go on walks, in
the car, or even potty outside. At her board and train
program Mira gained confidence and when we picked
her up she was a completely different dog! They had her
walking along a busy street, ignoring the loud sounds
that she used to be so afraid of. They gave us the tools to
keep up with Mira’s training. Since then, we've moved
out of state and had long car rides, hotel stays, and
temporary housing stays. She has done so great with the
change and is an amazing addition to our family. She later returned for off leash before we moved to the coast and is absolutely loving life as a beach dog now. Any bumps in the road or questions I can reach back out and have help. Super thankful for the von tore trainers and the best investment we made!

Our doodle spent 4 weeks for the off leash Board and Train
program. He was already a good dog, but we needed
some help "fine tuning" some of his manners and
building his confidence. She was great about
communicating how he was doing, what he was learning,
as well as continuing to follow up after her training
program ended. He has much more confidence, he is
able to be trusted off leash and he is now calmer when
going on walks and encountering other people and dogs.
