What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is the opportunity to form genuine bonds with the pets I care for. Being welcomed into their homes and earning their trust—especially seeing a shy or nervous pet come out of their shell—is incredibly rewarding. I get to provide them comfort, companionship, and consistency while their families are away, and that means the world to me. Every pet has their own personality, and I truly love getting to know each one like they’re part of my own extended furry family. It’s more than a job—it’s a passion and a privilege.
What inspired you to start your own business?
What inspired me to start my own pet sitting business was a combination of my deep love for animals and a realization that there was a real need for a different kind of pet care—one that feels more personal and comforting for both pets and their owners. I noticed how stressful traditional boarding facilities could be for many pets, especially those who thrive on routine and familiar surroundings. That’s when it clicked: pets are happiest when they’re in a home setting, surrounded by their own smells, toys, and comforts.
I wanted to create a service that truly feels like a “home away from home,” where pets can stay relaxed and happy, and their humans can travel worry-free knowing their furry family members are being cared for like one of my own. That need for compassionate, in-home care is what inspired me to turn my passion into a business.

Because our services are centered around in-home, hands-on pet care, they can’t be provided online or remotely. We believe that the best care happens in person, where we can give pets the physical attention, routine, and companionship they need while their owners are away.
That said, we do offer in-person meet n greets or consultations for new clients who want to get to know us before booking, as well as regular updates—including photos and videos—during each stay so pet parents can feel connected and reassured, no matter where they are.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, we implemented several safety measures to protect both our clients and ourselves while continuing to provide dependable care. These included contactless key exchanges, wearing masks during client interactions, frequent hand sanitizing, and thorough cleaning of surfaces we came in contact with in clients' homes.
We also adjusted our cancellation policies to provide more flexibility for changing travel plans. While guidelines have relaxed, we remain committed to cleanliness, communication, and flexibility—because the safety and comfort of our clients and their pets will always be our top priority.
