How do you help your clients achieve their fitness goals?
I use a unique combination of running, strength and mobility based yoga classes, and more gentle yoga and self myofascial release rolling techniques for recovery. This combination of knowledge allows me to assess where you’re feeling pain, associate those pains to specific muscles, use myofascial release to release the current pain you’re feeling, and pair targeted strength to the specific muscles to prevent the pain from coming back. Not all pain is the same and different exercises benefit different types of pain. For example, not all knee pain is the same: inner knee, knee cap, lateral knee pain, and pain above the knee.
What do you love most about your job?
I absolutely love being able to help people feel good as they do the sport they love. It may sound corny, but making a difference in people’s lives and improving their quality of life when it comes to running, is why I do what I do.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I got into running coaching and pairing yoga and self-myofascial release and I fell victim to an overuse injury after training for my first half-marathon. I knew that there had to be another way to train where I was working towards my goals and preventing injuries at the same time. From here, my passion was born and my business started.
Why should our clients choose you?
I primarily focus on helping runners either overcome existing injuries or prevent future injuries from coming on. I know what it feels like to have to drop out of a race due to an injury. Because of that, Ive spent hundreds of hours on research and continued education to help create a program rocused on injury prevention.
