After 10 + years of practice, I founded Wayside in order to offer top tier Architecture services to everyday people. My priority is understanding what Clients are after and getting them there without added drama. The decision to finance and build is hard enough; why risk one of your largest investments on an unlicensed designer? You want to get through design, into construction, and on to actually living or working in your new project; use my expertise to make it happen. There's a lot of work to do but first we ought to know who we're working with and how they work. One thing I've learned is if you want to predict how people will act, find out what they believe. On Clients | Whether you're a project Owner or a decision-maker at a design firm, the focus is always people (who), projects (what), and process (how). Turning abstract priorities into realized results is what separates promises from products. On Money | How you spend your money is your choice because it's your project. Our role is to guide you through the process of why, when, and how much. Project capital can come from unlimited sources. However it's obtained, how far will it go? Do you know? If not, we can help. On Handoff | With Wayside, you're getting personalized, collaborative services. Things get personal because there won't be a hand off half-way through the project where the person that promised the job doesn't end up performing the job. It's collaborative because we know and use the most efficient tools and process the internet has to offer and we do it in a way that simplifies, not contorts. On Mission | The goal is to make design work for people and do so with an expert level of understanding of the most efficient tools in the industry. We're bringing the most efficient, flexible, and collaborative tools on the market to the realm of smaller, personal projects. We offer the most collaborative, refined services to adventurous Clients with safe, practical, and affordable solutions
The final product and the effect it has on people. Construction isn't cheap. Clients put stress and savings into projects while expecting payback and for it all to be worth it. In the end, the combination of hitting financial targets in addition to the psychological reward is a huge motivator. Whether it's families moving into a new home or pharmacists pumped to get back to work in a clean, organized space he never had, the final elation from clients gets a true Architect up in the morning.

There's no universal answer to why Bark's clients should choose anyone. Every project is a custom blend of intent, financing, capacity, and follow-through. Each opportunity has it's own, unique risks to not only everyone currently involved, but also future occupants subject to a projects successes and failures. Projects are big deals and shouldn't be taken lightly. Everyone's goal should be to find the best partner possible. An adequate project partner will seek to mitigate everyone's risks while creating the most bang for the buck.
It's possible for me to perform services at each extreme. I can operate 100% remote, trading observation costs for travel expense savings, or operate in-person. The 100% remote is pretty straight forward because all interactions would be online or phone-based. For in-person, I can travel via car for projects in NE Oklahoma or by air for projects outside Oklahoma. The travel and expenses arrangement is negotiated early on and clarified in the Contract for agreement by both parties.
Remote work has saved lives, no doubt. As we return to normal, I thought it important enough to get vaxxed twice and boosted once for added comfort during in-person exchanges.
