I recently finished my first surrogacy journey with Physicians Surrogacy and I have to say it was such an amazing experience. From day one, things seemed to go pretty fast. It seemed to me that as long as I was on top of all the paperwork process and provided them with what they needed, they gave that in return. The process went very smooth, which made everything better. I loved working with my case manager Yoko Wakamatsu. She was so kind and checked up on me weekly basis. Any assistance I needed, she was there to answer or find the answer to my questions. She made me feel like there was an open door policy for anything I may have needed, even if she was busy she would let me know. I never expected to be responded to quickly because I understood that I was not the only surrogate she dealt with and that's what some surrogates fail to understand. I just finished my journey with Physicians surrogacy. It was all smooth going, the team was amazing. Yoko Wakamatsu helped me through my entire journey if I had any questions or of anything came up with billing. The insurance was confusing for most places to take, but once I handed them over to Yoko, everything was settled. I never had to worry. When my husband and I decided we wanted to enjoy pregnancy one more time but the thought of bringing another child home wasn't in the plans, we knew we needed to reach out to find an alternative. We looked at Physician's Surrogacy and immediately was matched with some knowledgeable staff. Hannah with the labs and drug section, Laura was the best beginning support IVF/Medical/Coordinator, then came Yoko my #1 Support Person throughout the process. The experience was definitely different and I really enjoyed it. I loved seeing the face of the father when he first saw his baby girl ! He was definitely stunned! I am so happy that I could be apart and help out a family. Everyone was really helpful in the beginning and everything was smooth. When I got pregnant it was still okay but when It started to get closer to me delivering things slowly changed. I would definitely recommend for them to be a little more organized and caring towards the end. I didn't feel like much care was given to where I didn't even have the energy to want to contact them. We had a great experience with RSMC Physicians Surrogacy and were lucky enough to have worked with Claire Chang as our case manager and April Hubbard as our Support Manager. The decision to take on the task to become a surrogate was years in the making before the timing was perfect for our family and lifestyle. We researched and had several conversations with various agencies before deciding RSMC best suited us as they offer great doctors and staff. The care and support they offer surrogates was incredible. We were guided each step of the way and communication was open clear if ever any questions or issues arose they were immediately addressed. The journey as a surrogate with RSMC was an experience of a lifetime. Dr. Wood was pleasant and knowledgeable from the very beginning. This agency was the best for being my first time being a surrogate. I was matched within 2 weeks of passing my medical & background. After signing the contract I was ready to get pregnet in 2 months. Dr. Wood was my doctor for the transfer & he got it on the first try. Dr. Wood very professional & very positive on getting you pregnet on the first try, he is the best. Shannon helped me on my medication & was on top of it to make sure I had all my medicine which made it easy to take. Sharon Canlas was my supporter/case manager. This girl is the best I would call her after hours late & she would answer me. I would call her early morning she would answer me. All texts messages as well she would answer me. She is very helpful on anything I needed & she listens & understands your concerns. Molly Shen was my translater since my I.P.'s were chinese & mother spoke very little english. Molly was helpful on my big questions I had for the I.P.'s. I delivered on Feb. 23 2018 a healthy baby boy. I was very blessed on my I.P.'s they spolied me very much. Mother bought my daughter gifts & me as well. At the hospital she brought me chocolates & fruit. I stayed 24 hours & my I.P. was bringing me outside food to eat since the hospital food was disgusting. I was allowed to take pictures with the baby & I got to hold the baby as well. Even after I left I went to say my good byes to the I.P.'s & see the baby for the last time. I got 2 visits from my friends & my children & they all got to go see the baby. I signed up with Physicians Surrogacy in August 2016 and was matched within 2 weeks with an amazing couple who were the perfect match (we still talk often and have become close friends). Contracts were signed in January, transferred February 2017 and delivered November 2017. Dr. Wood was my doctor and is amazing with a great personality and also funny. His staff was very professional, great communicators, and personable. Dr. Wood did my transfer and it was successful the first time with his detailed instructions for medication and bed rest after transfer, etc.. Everything with my pregnancy went great with no issues. As far as the agency review,  in the beginning it was ok with communication, my case manager was ok at getting back to me, etc. In the middle of my journey, I was unfortunately caught in the time when some (now) former employees disrupted the business and the company made some decisions that needed to be made in light of that mishap. During that time, communication was very bad, case managers were coming and going (without notifying me), for a couple months. Due to the events, I understand the lack of communications was due to legal reasons of the company. However, some communication should have been made to surrogates that were in a journey to give us some peace of mind as I had no idea what was going on and why I couldn't get a hold of anyone.Since then, the company has made great progress recovering from that unfortunate situation. My last case manager I had is Lydia and she is so amazing, I message her anytime and she is very prompt, always follows up with me and just a great communicator. I don't trust a lot of people but I do trust her because I truly feel she is looking out for me and making sure everything is smooth and taken care of the whole time she has been my case manager. Sharon is my support person and she is very personable. She handled all the bills I sent her, and they were always promptly paid.Why I gave Physician's Surrogacy a 5 star rating:-Physician's Surrogacy has taken great strides in improving the company as a whole with new operations, policy's, communication and standards since when I first signed up with them in 2016. They have the right people now and a great foundation to build on. They have come a long way in such a little amount of time and while there are still some kinks to work out I'm sure,  they are coming out on top as I would consider them one of the leading surrogate agencies in the country.-Compensation as always been made on time (the whole journey) with very few discrepancies. If there were any discrepancies, it was fixed immediately and they were very apologetic. If I chose to do another journey, I would do it with Physician's Surrogacy with Lydia as my case manager and Sharon as my support contact again.I hope my review is helpful to those considering Physician's Surrogacy. I just gave birth to a baby girl for a Chinese couple. The smiles and greatfulness of the parents made it all worth it. This place has the top notch doctors , Dr. Wood is the top notch for IVF and is excellent. Sharon Canlas was my case manager. She was super sweet and on top of her game. Physicians Surrogacy has been great! I just finished my first journey with them. The whole process from start to finish has been great. My support manager Sharon Canlas has been so amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better support person. She played a big role in making my process so smooth and easy going. I truly felt comfortable talking to her about everything! Ian Zhang was also great and made sure to check in with me all the time! I can only speak for the front office and egg donor coordinators. Personally, I haven't had a major issue or complete lack of care. I have called regarding the status of my egg donor profile last week and had left a voicemail for one of the coordinators but haven't heard back. Thats the only issue I've had. This company is offering free movie tickets with yelp reviews but this has not skewed my rating at all. Hope this helps :) More...
