Went to the restaurant per a friend suggestion. I have to admit was a great experience. Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and this was her birthday gift. The restaurant is simple, cozy, relaxing, welcoming and elegant. We were received by Natasha, who was very diligent and attentive. She was very receptive to answer our questions and gave us suggestions. She was always attentive to our needs all the time.Was impressed by the delicious smell of fresh baked bread served to us which activated my mouth buds. The bread was crunchy in the outside, very soft and warm in the inside. Some appetizer size cheese tarts were served too. They were very flavorful, buttery and light.My friend ordered a french onion soup and I ordered escargots. The french onion soup was rich, beefy, earthy but at the same time, light. My escargots were plum, juicy, tender and the broth was perfect to soak bread pieces in each of the holes of the plate.As a main course it was ordered grilled octopus with Turmeric mashed potatoes and spinach and my friend ordered a skirt steak with roasted potatoes and a Dijon mustard sauce. She indicated that the meat was tender, flavorful and juicy. In my case, the octopus was grilled perfectly, very tender and lightly sweet. The contrast of the earthy Turmeric mashed potatoes and the spinach balanced the seafood taste of the octopus.For dessert, my friend ordered crepe Suzette and I ordered a mango tart. The smell of the melted chocolate, the lightness of the crepe, the aroma of the Grand Marnier and the sweetness of the cooked orange slice was intoxicating. For me was a torture due to the fact that I am allergic to both chocolate and orange but the smell of the dessert was delicious. My friend enjoy it to the end. My mango tart was flaky, buttery, light, with a balanced taste of mango and spices. Chef Amina was very sweet to come out and sang Happy birthday to my friend and take time to take a picture. What an amazing night at Côtè Gourmet! I went for dinner last night and it was packed. I considered this place to be like a little gem in Miami Shores, nice and cozy. I would like to congratulate all of the staff who handle the numerous amounts of people, with great customer service. It was my first time ever being in this restaurant and we originally wanted to go to the new restaurant that was supposed to be open last night, but they were closed. If you are looking for a romantic dinner date, Côté Gourmet is the place to go! The food is delicious and everything that was made was made with perfection. Being a trendy city, there's no shortage of restaurants that over promise and under deliver.If you're looking for blaring techno music, waiters with blue hair and neck tattoos and an atmosphere that gives the impression that the food was an afterthought, than stick to Wynwood. Amazing everything! Cote Gourmet is blessed with wonderful and very inviting owners and staff. I had the four cheese ravioli with butter, sage and parmesan fondue. The pasta is even home made!
