Find a Wedding DJ in Santa Cruz

You ABSOLUTELY need to hire Adam/DJ Shazam for your event. I booked him for my wedding at Waterfall Lodge in Sept. 2026 and weeks later I am still getting compliments from guests about how good the music, lights, and energy was on the dance floor. Adam MC’ed the entire wedding day including the pre-ceremony, ceremony, reception, toasts, first dance, cake cutting, parent dances, all the transitions in between events, and finally helped us dance the night away! His warmth, enthusiasm, and excitement during planning calls helped us get even more excited but mostly put us at ease knowing that we were in good hands. We had set up a few coordination calls before the wedding and used the Vibo app to help keep track of all the specific songs for when they needed to be played and then general vibes for ceremony, reception, and dancing playlists. It was super easy to use and Adam was a dream to work with. When we said we wanted Bardcore/medieval type covers of songs for pre-ceremony and reception, he delivered. Adam had been to our venue before so not only were there no curveballs, but he knew exactly what needed to go where. There were no mishaps and everything went perfectly during the entire day. Everything sounded incredibly clear. It really gave us peace of mind that we had someone so experienced on our wedding day who precisely knew our timeline and queues. BUT the real fun was the dance floor after dinner. Not only was it never empty, but IT WAS ALWAYS PACKED. Everyone - young, old and in between - was partying on the dance floor the ENTIRE TIME. Adam mixed the beginning and ending of songs together to create non-stop jams. He even transitioned two songs together on the same word and everyone in the crowd started freaking out and screaming because it was such a smooth transition. Between his mix, effortless transitions, and lights, people were dancing for hours. So if you want to have a good party but also not have to worry about logistics during your event, please please please do yourself a favor and hire Adam.

Had no idea about the deposit, was informed on check in -- put it on a different card. (they did cancel/refund/whaetver by later the day of checkout) but, you need an extra 100...||||We were in a smoking room...hard wood floor, second story...different. The bed was more homey and less hotel--I liked that. The in room "free" wifi was HORRIBLE (pretty much non existant) so we used our phones instead of our laptops...The pool looked inviting and breakfast was standard continental. ||||Room was clean, no tub, just a shower...but it was a pretty neat place to stay.||The staff was ok, not welcoming but not rude...we stayed 2 nights and didn't want/put a do not disturb on our room....we were in the back...seemed ok there...Santa Cruz has many colorful people....but we felt safe etc.

Five Stars does not do All Occasions Entertainment justice... If there was an Infinity Star, that would apply here.Brian Burns is the MAN!!!I volunteered to find a DJ in the Santa Cruz area for our annual Holiday Party and immediately referenced Yelp to see who was out there. Came across AOE and read all the great reviews but was still skeptical so I shot Brian an email from his Yelp page. Would you believe I had a response from him within 10 minutes? Whaaaaa Brian answered multiple emails with question after question and even joined a conference call to tell us more about himself and the services he has to offer. His enthusiasm and personal involvement that he showcased on a phone call won us over.However, I'm a skeptical dude and was praying that he wasn't all talk so I asked for a sample of his DJ abilities. He directed me to Soundcloud where I could listen to some of his work. Whaaat Whaaaaaat!!! I was literally jamming to and sharing his link with others in the office to see if they were as impressed as I was. Should we book him, I asked... The answer was a resounding Hell Yeah!!!But still being the "worry-wart" I kept thinking if this dude doesn't deliver at the party I'm done for. Fast forward to the night of our event. We held it in the Coconut Grove Sun Room at the Boardwalk that was absolutely the perfect venue and decorated beyond anything I could've imagined. Brian had his set up rigged with club-lighting, a smoke machine and even brought some up-lighting to further enhance our Enchantment Under the Sea theme. It was magical, and believe me I've never said that before. Albeit to say, we could not wait to finish dinner and get the party started. Then it happened... the lights dimmed and DJ Beebo cranked up his jams and it was ON!!! Club EA Holiday Party was in full effect!!! Brian or DJ Beebo performed as advertised and my skepticism melted away in the beats, jams and mixes he played that kept everyone shaking their booties all night long. Brian and All Occasions Entertainment is LEGIT. You will not regret hiring him for your event. I could go on and on singing their praises so I'll end by saying if Brian is willing and able to spin his jams for us next year he's hired. Boom... mic drop... and we outta here!!!
