We are easy going, friendly guys who are great at what we do, enjoy playing music for our clients, and will work with you to make sure that our part of your event comes together as planned . We have been providing professional, quality event production and entertainment at reasonable prices since 2000. In that time we have played for hundreds of weddings, parties, banquets, conventions and other events. We specialize in playing a variety of genres to get the dance floor going and are happy to cater to your guests' requests. Mark and Simon look forward to connecting with you so we can put that experience and ability to work for you. Event packages include DJ/MC services with lighting, and the sound and lighting we provide will be appropriate to the venue and number of guests you are expecting. The quoted price is what you'll pay. We'll never offer a quote, sign a contract and then tell you later we need more money for the sound equipment or for travel. These are included in the quotation. Not only do we want to deliver great service, but we do so at a reasonable price, without nickel and diming our clients. Note, that all DJ package pricing includes the option for MC service, for two reasons: 1) To us, it seems silly to charge extra to provide a service with no other personnel present, just to introduce people for speeches and do the introductions). 2) We've seen over the years that it can be a disaster to choose the wrong family member or friend to MC. People funny at parties can sometime freeze up when faced with a crowd, other times people get nervous and get vulgar because they think they have to be funny, or it's someone with a long-dormant axe to grind. Never fun. Having a professional, relative stranger act as MC can be helpful, keep the night moving while being professional, funny (but appropriate), and we don't know your family's dirty laundry. (Food for thought :) *** Please note that we are friendly and very approachable, but the system charges DJs to respond to requests. If you have asked to be contacted but do not receive a response, it is most likely because we are already booked up on that night, or because your event profile does not list the date of your function. Thank you, and we look forward to speaking with you! -Mark
For weddings or any event, I enjoy playing music that the crowd loves, while working the background to make sure my end of things flows well, and doing my best to create a stress free experience for the newlywed couple or an event planner.
I had DJed for several companies before branching out on my own. I enjoy the freedom, the ability to take the functions that I like, and to become a part of how the event unfolds, rather than just being there for the gig.
I always did great work working for other companies, but when you sell yourself, are there for the consultation, you know how things are supposed to go; it's a context and a thrill you don't get working from someone else's notes on a function.
We are friendly, professional, and reliable. We know our music, and we are experienced. Just being around for 20+ years isn't enough though. Being able to MC an event as well as DJ, be not just competent, but funny and engaging, is a definite skill both of us have.
(Mark dabbles in comedy, Simon is a music teacher, and we both have radio experience)
Our prices are reasonable, we have a great attitude, and a boat load of music.
We've experimented, and have found that the sound quality is often not there or the Zoom/Teams/etc signal drops out with music. I'm not happy enough with the performance to want to charge for this service.
We encourage clients to text their requests rather than come up to the table; we use microphone covers and wipe down the microphone after use between speeches.
Upon request, we can hold down your guests and vaccinate them.
:)
