Bellhop was founded in 2011 by Cam Doody and Stephen Vlahos. Initially, it started out as a moving service known as Campus Bellhops, for college students moving in and out of the dorms at Auburn University. From there the service spread to other college campuses, as well as local moves into houses and apartments, off-campus for students and non-students. Currently, Bellhop services most major cities in over 27 states across America. The mission to help people during one of the most stressful times in their lives is what kickstarted the existence of Campus Bellhops. Since then, that mission has stayed the same, but the reach and desire to make it more efficient has grown into what is now Bellhop.

We are one of few movers that give you the option to book your own move online. Through our booking tool on our website, we ask a few questions in order to help get you set up for your move, without having to speak to a representative. Our main headquarters is located in Chattanooga, Tennessee, but we have some people on the ground in most of our major markets, to ensure we are doing all we can to be accessible as a nationwide company.
In 2020, we began offering the option of "contact-free moving". This gave our customers the option to not have to physically be on site with our pros and trucks for their move. We'd collect all necessary information from the customer, prior to move day, and relay it to the team on site for the move, to ensure all customer requests were being met without the customer having to risk exposure. We also began requiring our pros to wear masks at moves, and also abide by any specific additional requirements state-to-state, to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Someone who previously moved with this company gave me their info. They said they did a good job. My move wasn’t too complicated because it was in the same apartment complex here in The Woodlands. I booked about a month in advance and the owner kept in couch with me throughout the week. On the day of, he called to mention that he had a little trouble with his truck so I was ok with waiting a bit. Darrel was one of the workers who called before going out. I didn’t know they were launching from SW Houston so there was an extra long wait to get to my apartment. I had a 3rd floor unit going to a 1st floor unit. The guys worked hard but at some given moments they would argue with each other. I can probably chunk it to the frustration of going up and down 3 flights of stairs so I get it. Overall, the guys did an amazing job and I’m very appreciative of not only the rock bottom price but tremendous effort and work done on behalf of the men.

These men were out right marvelous. They moved my friend on more than one occasion. I woke up that morning so overwhelmed with the burden of packing up and having to switch locations for electricity. I was moving to another unit in the same complex but the delays wore me thin. It got so irritating. Vincent and his team with Ernest and Tony helped ease the process. I could have been in my apartment a week ago but right now I'm grateful that all my items are here. Chuck was so accommodating and was able to wait for me getting the key and constantly postponing on him. Vincent proposed that the job would take perhaps 4 hours but they kept it to 3. That's where my budget was.

They did a good job moving from a warehouse where I purchased some furniture and goods from an auction. The drive was about 45 minutes away. The two men got it up my 2nd floor apartment. My mom referred this company to me and they always do a good job.
