I have taught piano privately for about 12 years. I have a BA in music from Ohio State and an MA from Kent State. I studied music history and piano at Ohio State and my MA at Kent State was in Ethnomusicology (world music). I teach beginning and intermediate classical, popular and jazz piano. I have studied many types of music and also teach music theory. I studied with two world-class concert pianists when I was an undergraduate student and can teach proper technique to prepare students to play advanced piano.
