Mrs. Kate is an exceptional teacher! My son Jacen is 8 years old now and has been taking lessons with Mrs. Kate for over a year. He started out by doing group lessons in an afterschool program, but making the switch to private lessons has resulted in drastic improvements! Not only are my son's skills developing at a faster rate, but his enthusiasm and excitement for learning piano has changed significantly. He used to dread practicing piano at home, but now he's eager to engage and even initiates practicing on his own! Kate demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to Jacen's attention span and frustration level, she is so accommodating to his needs by providing positive reinforcement and adding in extra activities and exercises that keep him engaged, make him smile, and get him excited to come to piano lessons each week. She has an awesome home studio that is conducive to learning and she does a great job keeping the studio organized and even maintaining a comfortable waiting area in her living room for parents! I am a student that takes Mrs.Kate’s piano lessons and she is an amazing teacher. She is patient, kind, and understanding. She has helped me get much better at piano and play a bunch of songs that I’ve always wanted to play but never could since I didn’t know how to play piano.
