Mike and Cindy and Dan (the Colkett Painting crew) were wonderful have in our home! They arrived on time, left the rooms orderly each night, even took the dog out at lunch time. Their color and finish technique suggestions were extremely helpful. We had our whole first floor decorated and painted and we are now going to use them for our upstairs rooms next. Honestly we did not know the wonderful things which can be accomplished with paint these days before we met Mike. He fairly educated us on the terms used globally for the finishes and his expertise in so many finishes left us depending on him to guide us. We couldn't be happier! Thank Mike!!
What I love the most about my job is the transformation. Getting to see some older and dull surfaces turn into fresh, brand new surfaces. I specially love it when the client is happy with the colors they chose, so I always make sure to tell them they should sample the actual paint, don't just go by samples on paper. Then when the client is so happy that they go online and share their experience in the form of a review, wow we love those days!
I have been painting for a long time. I orginally started the business even before i knew how to paint. We knew a few good painters who did most of the work. Aftwewards, i started to learn the actual trade. I got a job at a couple local companies. Started off as a helper, apprentice, painter, Foreman. That's when I noticed I was the best painter I've met and it was time to go back to my own business. First year went good, a little slow during the winter months, but by the 3rd year we were working non stop.
During the first slow winter, we joined forces with a big local company where I became the supervisor. We definitely learned a lot that winter, eventhough I thought I already knew it all!

Our services are provided in the client's home or business. First they call me. I pick up, schedule an estimate as soon as possible. I go to their homes or businesses, using a measuring laser, I measure all the surfaces that are getting painted. With these measurements I'll find out how long the job will take me, how much paint it will need. This information is what I use to come up with the price of every project.
We were wearing masks when it was mandated, not anymore. If the client asks us to wear masks, we carry a bunch in the van just in case so we would just wear then, no problem with that.
