EgoFree Vision Empowerment

While new to the Bark platform, EgoFree Vision Empowerment is the end result of more than 25 years helping people navigate life in a more positive, effective and enjoyable way. A background in education, psychology and teaching is the foundation for my goal oriented coaching method that I call the "EgoFree Method". Values centering around being of service to others and giving back to the world motivate me to share that philosophy with others. I use a conversational, non-judgmental style that imparts as much information as my client can internalize and use in a proactive and effective way. We establish goals, create a plan and then work that plan to achieve results and reach our goals using proven methods and techniques. My coaching is primarily forward looking, only looking backward for as long as it takes to see exactly where we are starting. After that everything is about pragmatic progress and moving forward towards goals. We are not trying to unravel the how and why of where we are, we are creating a mindset that takes us from where we are, wherever that is, to where we want to be. An EgoFree mindset is a growth mindset that teaches you to be your own best asset and how to get out of your own way.

What do you love most about your job?

Knowing that I'm helping people. The knowledge that what I share with clients helps them enjoy their lives more by helping them reach their goals while finding the joy in each day.

What inspired you to start your own business?

My parents were both gifted with an entrepreneurial spirit and thankfully I've always been entrepreneurial myself. I reached a point fairly early on when I realized that I wanted to make a big impact in the world and that if I was going to do that I wasn't going to do it working for someone else.
There's a saying I heard when I was a teenager and it hit me hard and stuck: "Get to work building your dreams or someone else will put you to work building theirs."

Why should our clients choose you?

Many coaches have a theoretical knowledge of "coaching". While I have the education and training, I have also been successfully coaching in many arenas for the better part of 30 years. I've coached kids, teenagers, young adults and not so young adults. My clients have ranged from 7 to 78.
I've also lived an active, full and dynamic life that's seen me through many experiences and enabled me to take on many challenges. I've approached those challenges with an EgoFree, growth mindset. I've navigated those challenges with that mindset and my EgoFree mindset has been more fully developed on the other side of each of those challenges.
I bring all that experience and education, along with my natural personality traits of empathy and compassion, tie it all together with having been a knowledge sponge my entire life and use it to create a welcoming, confidence building energy that is as comforting as it is productive.
Self-directed change and growth is not easy but in the right environment and with the right energy a coach/client relationship can be dynamic, effective and supportive.
That is the energy I bring to each and every coaching session and that is the energy that sets me apart from other coaches.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

I currently offer remote sessions through Zoom, Google Duo or phone call. In person sessions will resume as health restrictions and safety allow.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I am currently meeting 100% remotely. Once the weather warms or the covid situation is more under control my local clients and I may meet in person. In person meetings are held outdoors whenever possible.

Your professional life coach will be able to advise you on the full range of coaching available and will be able to help you select the best one to suit your needs. They will also be able to answer any questions you may have. Use Bark to get free quotes and find a trusted life coach today.

You can have as many or as few life coaching sessions as you like. Many life coaches operate over the phone or via the internet so the sessions can easily fit around your schedule. Some people hire a life coach once every few months, some people have a session once a week.

Life coaching sessions will typically last up to an hour. Often after an initial assessment, sessions can be conducted over the phone, face to face, over email, via Skype/Zoom and occasionally through instant messaging.

During the session, your life coach will ask you a number of questions, such as what you want to achieve in life, what areas you're unhappy with and where you'd like to see yourself in the future. Although a life coach will work with you, it’s often up to you to challenge or reflect upon certain ideas you have to help you move forward with your life. You will never be forced to make any decisions you don't feel comfortable with and all sessions will be confidential.

Life coaching is focused on your present and your future. Coaching accepts your current reality and looks to improve your outcome moving forward. Life coaches are not health professionals and they do not diagnose you. By contrast, therapy focuses on your past and looks to delve into past actions and patterns. It is analytical but not action-oriented.

Most mainstream health insurance providers do not cover the costs of life coaching because it is not considered a mental health profession in the same way therapists and counsellors are.

Life coaches do not need to have any formal or academic qualifications but you may want to look for life coaches who possess an industry-specific qualification, such as the Life Coaching Diploma or Personal Performance Diploma (PPD).

You may also want to ask for testimonials of their recent work. You could also look at their profile page on Bark, which shows you reviews from past customers who have used their life coaching services.

A life coach is a trained professional who aims to help and guide individuals to make, meet and exceed personal and professional goals. They support clients on a journey to rediscover their own strength and abilities. This can include excelling in the workplace, becoming happy and fulfilled at home, exploring your potential, managing health conditions and achieving life ambitions.

By harnessing techniques based on core psychological principles and intuition, life coaches empower clients and provide a toolkit of teachings to confidently face difficult challenges and overcome emotional barriers.

Life coaches can specialise in one of these particular areas of coaching: career coaching, executive business, group coaching, health and wellbeing, performance management, personal development, relationships, retirement, spiritual and youth coaching.

Rapport is one of the most important parts of life coaching. If you feel uncomfortable with your professional, you are unlikely to gain much from the session. It is advisable to get in contact before you book a session to meet your life coach so you can gauge how comfortable you are in their presence. It is worth talking to a few potential life coaches and ask questions.

Yes! As long as you have a strong internet connection, then your life coach can deliver sessions via an online video chat platform. Alternatively, it can be done over the phone.
