The two things I love most about my job: 1) It creates joy. Music has a beautiful way of bringing out joy in most people, and I've found it incredibly gratifying to be surrounded by that at every gig. It lifts me up! 2) It's what I feel like I was born to do. I'm incredibly grateful to have found a "calling" relatively early in life, and I plan to do it until my hands/ voice stop working!
My clients have told me that the below set me apart:
1 - My energy. I always make sure it matches what you're seeking for your event. If you want headline entertainment, I'll keep the audience engaged. If you want light background music to create a more relaxed ambience, I'll keep the volume at the right level to enable easy conversation among your event's attendees.
2 - My song selection. I primarily play cover songs, and I tend to choose songs/ arrangements that are likely to make audience members say "I LOVE this song" or "Wow, I haven't heard that one in ages" or "I've never heard anyone play this song that way".
While I always recommend an in-person experience for live music, I am able to provide services in remote settings as well. This would function like any regular Zoom/ Teams/ Google meeting. I just enhance my audio setup to make sure it sounds a bit more like a live performance (e.g. using a professional microphone instead of a laptop microphone) for the audience.
I did remote performances to keep my audiences safe during the pandemic, but I always recommend in-person experiences for live music.
