Platinum Media Concepts
Platinum Media Concepts is a full-service disc jockey company. Our flava is urban and fresh. We spin all genres of music. If your company, family and/or friends love Hip-Hop, R&B, Go-Go, House, Club, Old Skool, Top 40 tracks, PMC has what you need. PMC is a minority-owned, woman-owned company that lives and breathes diversity. Our doors are always open for our LGBTQ brothers and sisters.
We used Platinum Media Concepts to DJ our wedding, and everything was perfect. I left it up to him to select the music for our cocktail hour and dinner, and it was just right. And when it was time to dance, the music had EVERYONE on the dance floor! I can't recommend them enough.
Razilee Belly Dancer
Razilee is a highly sought after multi-award winning belly dance artist that is known for using Egyptian, Moroccan, Turkish, and Lebanese styles to create a breathtaking performance! She has been described as “graceful, alluring, saucy, breathtaking, and mesmerizing...the BEST belly dancer in DC!"
Razilee will customize her performance specifically for your event with professional choreography, dazzling costumes, vibrant props, fascinating balancing acts, and audience participation – with her performance you can expect an awe inspiring show from start to finish!
Razilee is a MUST HIRE! First and foremost, her compassion, politeness, professionalism is beyond exceptional. She attended every vendor meeting (regardless as to how far it was for her and even moved appointments to make sure she was present), showed me a few outfits she was considering to wear and asked me to choose, managed to help me find an Egyptian Zaffa group (without even being Egyptian), and simply did exceptional performances at my wedding cocktail hour and during the Zaffa procession. Saying I was blessed to have such a great and talented person perform at my husband and I’s wedding is an understatement! Thanks Razilee FOR EVERYTHING!”
Cool concept. Cool owner. Cool spot. But - not my kinda cool. Hence the 4. That doesn't mean its not worth checking out but I got introduced on stage as Donnie Simpson by the unprofessional who was hosting a comedy night and it was to kick off the night after which he said nah i'm kidding this comic is f'ing 6'10" give it up! - number one I cut my set because of that intro after 1 joke. Number 2 I have never once and will never again Open a night that I am not hosting because I am not a Comedian if I'm on stage its a featuring Jonny Simpson track - I'm not gonna drop Rapture (lololol) and I go on right before or right after the headliner not first - #Facts. Thirdly, after already getting a negative pop from the crowd about how he introduced me the comment about my size was setting me up as a Carney act as opposed to a Communicator. So I dipped.
Lastly I will say this - that host meant well - he just shouldn't have been hosting a comedy night anywhere. The owner DC is cool AF and a hustler so link up with him if you need studio time at a fare rate. One more thing - I got asked to do a Roast at this venue for a comic that has never been paid to perform Comedy - I did roast him - by saying I would post.
Ms. Chae has been a superb teacher for our son. I have had the opportunity to observe her in private and group lessons (about 30 of her young students) for a year and a half. She is always gentle and kind to her students. Ms. Chae has a light-hearted personality that sets our son at ease. She is always willing to answer his questions even if there are several in a row!
She herself has remarkable playing ability. When my son gets discouraged because he can't play as well as she can, she always encourages him by pointing out how far he's come and instructs him on how to advance. She uses humor to bring out the best performance in my son. I have never seen her frustrated with him or any student. Ms. Chae frequently adopts new methods to motivate her students, and they are often successful!
Her musical approach combines the Suzuki method of developing musical ears and learning by ear with sight reading skills and music theory. I love how well-rounded it is because I want my son to be able to read music and transition to other instruments later if he wishes.
Her home studio is spacious and comfortable. Information and expectations about studio policies, lessons, and recitals are clear. Each semester, she organizes a group recital where all her students play together, in addition to solo recitals played in public locations.
Ms. Chae provides high quality instruction while developing a love of music in her students.
We used Ultimate Amusements for my son's grad party at our home. They were awesome! I had contacted other companies for my event with not much help. They sent out contract right away and were there early on a hot day. Please use them for any of your party needs big or small. Thanks!
Yes security is tight! It's a Federal Building. However the staff is amazing and the conferences are well organized from registration to the four star chef professional staffing and the cleanliness of the events. There is great history and fabulous architecture and art on display. There is a lovely rotunda an open courtyard and the atrium is one of the most beautiful I've seen. It is also home to one of the D.C. areas largest food courts. This building is a day event all on its own!
