Hi, my name is Daniel. I have a master's degree in education and have been a certified special education teacher working in the Chicagoland area for 15 years. I am also a certified Orton Gillingham tutor. As a distinguished special education teacher, I have worked with a wide range of students in various settings. I have tutored students from 2nd grade through college. I have a passion for teaching struggling students how to read.
We provide in home (or in school or wherever we're needed) specialized tutoring for students with all sorts of different learning needs. We carefully match our tutors with the individual needs of the student. Whether you're looking for reading, writing, math or executive functioning support, we have an expert to support their learning. We'd love to hear from you if your student could use some 1:1 academic support!

My son has been struggling with dyslexia and ADHD his entire life. We had an in home tutor for many years and then she moved away. Â Enter Chicago Home Tutor (who was recommended through a friend). Colin, who is in 8th grade and hates school, absolutely LOVES Mia. She is so relatable. Â She doesn't make the kids feel like they are going to her for "help". Â She makes them feel like she is a support and they CAN do the work. Â In the past, with other tutors, Colin would do anything to get out of the session. Â With Mia, he has never skipped a session and more importantly asks if he gets to meet with Mia this week. Â They have a great relationship and I'm excited to work with her through his HS years.
