Wow! We love our dog but she is very reactive and so difficult with visitors and other dogs that we have come to avoid both! Today was our first session with Jen and after 2 hours our life has changed. It was shocking. We have worked with other trainers but Jen and the Bark Busters approach are special. If you have a difficult dog, don’t give up. Just call Jen and do what she says. More...

I have had only great experiences working with Jenny. She is responsive to our needs and communicates quickly and effectively. While our dogs have minor behavioral problems compared to really aggressive dogs, we have noticed a great improvement with the techniques she has shown us. We have seen great improvements when it comes to rushing at the front door, barking at any little noise, fighting over food and toys, and especially walking on the leash. My older dog had gotten into a fight with my mom's dog over a toy as well as my friend's dog without being provoked. That was the tipping point to getting professional help. That has not happened since as we have learned the tools to intervene and prevent it as soon as we see warning signs. The techniques have also applied well to all other dog interactions we have had. Now, he can play with both of the dogs he had previous issue with without any worry. My older dog also had a horrible fear of the Roomba to the point where we couldn't use it because he would get bloody diarrhea from stress. Working with Jenny helped us relieve his stress and we can now use it with minimal fuss or concern from him. We had tried everything before that the vet had recommended (mainly putting treats on the Roomba to get a good association and trying to run it until he got used to it) and it wasn't until Jenny's help that we were able to get him calm. She has also helped us with his separation anxiety and he now walks perfectly on the leash. She has helped with general behavior training with both of our dogs. Like any type of training, consistency is key and relaxing for too long will allow them to fall back into bad habits. I found that my verbal corrections stopped working with my older dog when I was relaxing with the rest of his training. It's all correlated. With Jenny's help, training my puppy has been so much easier than I thought it would be. We have gotten her to come to us when called significantly faster than our older dog. She is not without her challenges as she is much more strong-willed than our older dog.Jenny is great. She is kind, caring to our dogs, and very educational. We really appreciate all that she has done to help us and our dogs. They are less stressed and much happier knowing where they are in the pack as are their humans.I referred Jenny to our friends whose dogs would not stop pulling on their leashes even if it would choke them. She helped them learn how to walk with slack in the leash and minimal pulling. I highly recommend her. More...

Without a doubt the best dog training/behavior service I've ever used, and I've used a lot. Within the first moments of walking into our house, she had our clumber spaniel puppy acting more calm and disciplined than after months of his overpriced puppy kindergarten. She expected a lot from him and didn't use the "he's an intact puppy" excuse. The first one hour visit turned the little guy around. It's a process to train a dog and alter behavior, but I could tell she put our little man on the right path from the first visit. I can't recommend Sue highly enough. Definitely a great fit for us, and likely other dogs, too, as she tailors her approach to each individual dog and its needs. Great training. Great value. Super duper. More...

When we adopted Bailey back in June 2018, he was this happy go lucky guy who just loved his tennis balls and didn't appear to have a mean bone in his body. He wasn't cat tested but everyone felt he would be fine. Thst was not the case. He went from Lassie to Cujo. He would viciously go after our cat Macie. We had to keep him on a leash when we we were home and had to crate him at night or when we weren't home because Macie can open doors. He also was men and dog selective. It was so random and unprovoked. It was very stressful all around...... After calling places, looking at reviews, we decided on Greg because of the positive reviews with dog aggression towards cats. Barnone, best decision we ever made. Bailey and Macie are actually friends. He doesn't even react with squirrels anymore. He's gotten much better with men and dogs. He still has a fear / trust factor with some, but the way he reacts to it is much better. He will ignore or give a little growl versus charge at them aggressively. Overall Bailey's manners, the way he listens ,walks on a leash, is way better than I could have even imagined. The best part was it literally happened overnite and continued to get better everyday. No matter the situation, the results are the same. We highly recommend Greg. Macie does too. More...

I'm probably the worst person when it comes to training dogs.  I have two lab mixes, litter mates, almost 6 years old.  My lack of experience, willingness to accept my dogs as-is, as well as a significant change in the household led to some pretty terrible situations.  One of my girls continuously attacked the other, often leading to very stressful and expensive vet visits.  Both girls were put on anti-anxiety medication, which did not completely curb their issues.  Walking was exhausting, barking was annoying, their separation anxiety from me was truly terrible.  I desperately needed help and Sue has been an absolute angel who has completely changed the quality of both my and my girls' lives. Sue took time to speak with me, prior to enrolling the girls, empathizing with my situation without judgement.  She is honest and properly managed my expectation.  I took additional time to read reviews on Sue and her program; I had a really positive feeling about her and signed up.Immediately upon entering the home, the dogs respond to her presence.  Good sign!  She takes the time to discuss dog behavior and thoroughly explain what the owner needs to do in order to set boundaries, establish authority and communicate to their dogs.  Additionally, she teaches you to understand their body language.  Online articles and videos will only get you so far, her expertise and patient guidance sets the training up for success.  She teaches training techniques, explains why they work and the dog's interpretation of the commands.  After each session, she writes an assessment of the training and provides homework.  This is extremely helpful! After one session, the girls changed into manageable, behaved dogs. These are two, 65 lbs, 6 year old, lab mixes.  Let me reiterate that... I have two, 65 lbs. 6 year old lab mixes with fighting and aggression issues.  My vets put these two on anti-anxiety medication to curb their issues.  This is probably one of the more difficult cases.  She helped improve the quality of all our lives.  I just had my second session last night; Sue noticed an improvement in the behavior and demeanor of the girls. After additional training, I'm looking forward to implementing additional techniques to improve their walks and behavior.  Pricing:  I researched and Sue is EXTREMELY reasonable.  She is worth every penny and then some.I can go on and on as to how grateful I am to Sue Doyle and Bark Busters.  She has truly impacted our lives in such positive way. We were at the end of our rope with George last summer. Although he was a sweet little dog, to say he was high strung and disobedient would be an understatement! Going for a walk was frustrating and exhausting. And the barking. Always the barking. With high hopes but realistic expectations, we invited Jack Knudsen of Bark Busters into our home to give us some help. Help us he did. It became apparent very quickly that this program is as much about training the humans as it is about training the dogs. Unbeknownst to us, we were making so many mistakes. Dogs already have a pretty good idea of what is going on, and they are waiting for us humans to figure things out! It was quite amazing how immediate the change in George happened. Turns out, we were all confused about our roles in the pack, who was taking care of whom and what we were trying to communicate to our pet. With clear 'dog language' sounds, George very quickly relaxed, let us take control and obeyed our commands. And the barking stopped. We have a more relaxed, well-behaved dog that continues to evolve with our training under Jack's guidance. It is like we are all speaking the same language now! Our family just cannot say enough about this program - it works! Jack is such a nice guy and a true professional. He is always punctual, an excellent communicator and so helpful whenever we ask him about doggy behaviors we would like to adjust. The Lifetime plan offers us the freedom and support to solve any new problems as they may arise. Plus, it is so convenient to do the training in your own home instead of an unnatural environment with a bunch of other barking dogs.Do yourself a favor and call Bark Busters if you have a barky little meatball like we did! Being in the veterinary field, and not owning my own dog until recently was a quick wake up in realizing I didn't know as much as I thought I did when it comes to dog training. It seemed to be exhausting for Larry, and I was feeling frustrated because he was not learning like I thought he would have.I reached out to Jack from Bark Busters after having Larry for a couple of weeks, and realizing my boyfriend, Aaron, and I could use some help (Larry is a 60 pound, 5 month old Newfoundland, who could do some damage if he is full grown and misbehaved). After talking to him briefly on the phone about where Larry is and the goals we have for him, we scheduled a time for Jack to come to our home and see the environment he lives and learns in. This was a huge plus for me, I was really looking for an at home trainer, and it did indeed make a huge difference. We sat down and Jack went over where Larry should be with his training based on his age. He asked us where his problem areas are and what we think he needs to work on. Aaron and I never felt like we were asking a dumb question, or felt ashamed of any of Larry's behaviors. We talked for about 20 minutes, and then it was time to bring Larry in. He shared with us great techniques, how to connect with Larry on a level he understood. He explained to us things we shouldn't do, and things we should do, all things that Larry understands and how he interprets them. I am extremely happy with the way things were explained, almost from Larry's point of view. There are simple body language's that I was unknowingly giving off, that I now see were not beneficial to Larry's learning. I am very appreciate of Jack and everything he taught me and Aaron. He was very kind with Larry, and focuses on gentle training where Larry never felt threatened or scared which was VERY important to me. I contacted them and I was very lucky to have Jack assigned as our trainer. If there is a person that can train dogs, that is Jack!, He was able to train my puppy and deliver tangible results right after the 1st session. I saw a significant improvement in terms of voice commands obedience and behavior. He is like a magician because always has a trick that works for whatever I ask him. I wasted money training my puppy at PetSmart and Petco with little success before. I do believe the Bark Busters' fee is reasonable in terms of return on investment as I saw radical improvements right away and also Jack is always available (he does magic with the time too) because he accommodates my requests all the times. In my case, Jack took the extra step and had his dog Rex (in the picture) in one of the sessions in order to work my puppy's interaction and social skillsIf you want to see your dog well trained don't hesitate and hire Jack. He knows his business and he is an expert on managing dog' special needs like my case which was a nightmare because my dog was very shy and fearful . More...

Jack is phenomenal. I came to him with a young blind dog who has tons of energy. She was barking and jumping at everyone who knocked on the door, and within one session she stopped. Nolee has improved so much in such little time, and its all Jack's doing.I truly believe in a natural style, some would call it dog whispering, and that is exactly what Jack does. We didn't use treats or punishment, only used dog-pack mentality type of training to correct any un-appreciated behaviors. This style of training worked unbelievably fast and stuck in my dog's brain, since it was based on natural behaviors: so she didn't just forget everything once the trainer left the house. I am so excited to have found Bark Busters and had Jack as a trainer for my dog Nolee, and definitely would suggest him to anyone who has a problem-child dog. More...

Sue Doyle from bark  Busters is so gifted and knows her stuff. We have a 10 month old Rhodesian who is already 90 lbs! Jumping up on people out of excitement and pulling on walks is not cute anymore. She gave me the tools and homework needed to calm his puppy urges.  He is developing into a mild mannered young man and we owe it to Sue. More...
