We did a board and train for just a few days and we had mentioned what we were most concerned with. He taught our boy what was expected of him and then taught us how to continue with the training at home with those areas. My Blue Heeler has been swimming here for several years. They have just opened a new 30’ pool with a new dock and ramp. Cassie competes nationally in dock diving competitions and is excellent at teaching dogs and their humans. Unlike some other instructors, she never forces dogs into the pool, but encourages them until they confidently get in on their own. She is very patient with my non-diving dog, Sky, whose spinal arthritis keeps him from jumping off the dock. (He uses the exit ramp to get in and out.). Sky loves this place and would give it ten stars if he could type.
I can help you understand how your dog thinks and why he reacts in certain ways. Once you understand that, you will be able to train your dog to do anything. The best part of my training approach, is that you are doing the training yourself. So, sooner (rather than later) you won't need me anymore!
My favorite thing about helping people work with their dogs is seeing the confidence that grows in the owner. That confidence transfers to the dog as he learns to trust his owner.
I have always been around dogs from the time I was a little kid. Several years ago, I got a new puppy and a neighbor came over and asked me how I got my dogs to be so obedient. It was the first time that I realized that there are people that want to connect with a dog, but they don't have a lifetime with dogs to draw on.

Because of COVID-19, I have gone to totally online training sessions. I have had such good success, I may never go back to in-person training sessions.
