Grace has been a godsend for us and our dog. We adopted a rescue that has severe resource guarding issues and had not been socialized with people nor dogs. He's a unique dog, and for a while we weren't sure we would ever find someone who could effectively and safely handle him, but Grace was able to not only speak his language - but also safely integrate him into walks with other dogs and help muzzle train him. She quickly became his favorite person and was one of the only people he trusted. Grace went beyond the walks and basic training and would sometimes ask if she could take him overnight to get him used to being around different dogs (hers) and people. What made the experience even better were the daily photo and video updates I received during her boot camp. It was reassuring to see Callie’s progress while we were away, and it kept us connected to her training journey.

I am an experienced dog guardian/owner, but it has been some time since I have had to get back to basics with a young pup and start building a happy, resilient, confident dog. Matt helped me rediscover how to do that. There are a million videos on how to do ...whatever, but none of those folks come to your house. I needed help in specific environments: fence reactivity, going to the farmers market, walking a strong dog with a high prey drive (there is a whole team of rabbits in field next door). Matt's superpower - for me - is he is able to meet me where I am, in the situation I need help with. It's not conceptual, but real. He came to me house; he met me at the farmers market, and we walked and walked and wove in and around people and other dogs and did not leave until I felt comfortable navigating my inquisitive pup through the throngs. As always, dog training is human training. Matt is confident, consistent, authoritative, observant and helped me see where I was not being any of those things, really! Nikki has a gift with dogs and their people, and her application of that gift is perfection. We called in Nikki due to one of our dogs starting to attack our other dog. In less than one hour, Nikki identified the problem, fixed it, and taught us to maintain it. She got one of the dogs to stop jumping to greet people (was a trigger for other dog to attack), she got the aggressor to unwind and stop biting, AND she taught them both how to heel on a leash. She taught us what to do then watched us implement and gave us feedback. Our dogs were back to loving and playing the next day, and all we have to do is maintain through walks and structure. She changed the dynamics of the dogs and the people in our home in less than one hour. Her cost for services is beyond reasonable. I would easily pay double the cost for the peace she brought back into our home.
