What do you love most about your job?

I LOVE the puppies! They are so curious and engaged. All it takes is laying a good foundation with them and then we get to watch them grow. They develop their own personalities and quirks and it's so fun to see. I love watching the clients light up when their puppy shows what they can do and I enjoying helping them develop a cooperative relationship so that they become good companions at home and out and about. It makes life so much easier when you learn to work with your dog instead of against them.

What inspired you to start your own business?

I was in need of a service dog myself and began a training program. The trainer noticed my interest in training (I thought I was driving her crazy with all my questions) and invited me to join her apprenticeship program to become a certified trainer.

Why should our clients choose you?

Clients should choose me if they are looking to build a positive relationship with their dog. I am not a "pack leader" theory trainer. I believe that we should respect our dogs natural needs and abilities and use those to train them into appropriate behaviors so they can live a harmonious and fulfilled life with us. This is a companionship and working relationship with our dogs, not a ownership.

Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.

Yes, I teach hybrid style so there is an online component to all my training but then I also offer in person and group training. I can also do video calls.

What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?

I switched from in-person only to a hybrid style with online offerings. I limited my in-person class sizes and offered Livestreams for those who felt more comfortable attending from home.
