I am a club-style DJ, very experienced 7+ years. DJ offering DJ and Karaoke Services for graduations, weddings, school dances, birthday celebrations, to name a few. Club style means the music is mixed mashed and most likely played in a format you have not heard before. Mainly the music is beatmatched and contiuously flows unless you want it to stop. Specializing in R&B and hip hop. I play all genres of music from any era including todays top artist and hits all the way back to your desired era. All music is played on high end professional DJ gear used by the pros. I am a music connoisseur of all music genres, if you want to hear it, I will play it for you. However my greatest passion is for hip hop and R&B. I have an extensive music library and the ability to take request during my live sets using internet connection. Growing up as a military dependent and my recent employers have allowed me to sample music from all parts of the world, Asia, Europe, Canada, and of course the United States. I am also comfortable with music from any era. I also tend to lean toward the clean/edited versions of songs unless otherwise requested by the client(s). Good songs connect people, songs are a powerful point of connection. Music has the ability to transport us through time. Let us play for you. I would like to add one more thing. Private residents/apartments tend to be a tough venue for some DJ’s. Most cities have noise ordinances, most if not all DJ’s are going to have equipment that will exceed noise limitations. If you have cleared all those hurdles with permits and getting neighbors permission to have the gig at your residence, please mention that in your profile, or if you contact me, otherwise have your event at a venue that is not zoned as residential or at the apartment clubhouse, it just makes life easier for all involved. The right music. I notice, people don’t always want to dance. People may not have seen each other for years and merely want to catch-up. I think the right music will provide the environment where your guest will want to stay beyond the duration of your event and ask, “when can we do this again?”
People may not dance in the traditional way, by getting a partner and move to the dance floor. People may move in their seat, people may dance while standing in the food line, and some people may just want to sing to the song. All these are indications of people having a good time.
I am very professional and prompt. I can also be very laid back or energetic depending if the situation calls for it. I have done some events, like weddings, were the bride has the entire event planned from start to finish. However, I have done some weddings were the bride, groom and guest are tired and they want the DJ to just get them through the event so they can go to room and complete their nuptials and begin the honeymoon. Basically I adapt to the situation
The best thing about being a DJ to me is making memories with people while they are making memories. A good example is a 80th birthday party gig. You usually have 4-5 generations of people these are very memorable events, everyone does not get to celebrate an 80th birthday.
I started DJ as a way to share the enjoyment of music. Everyone can’t have a library of 10K songs or know from a few bars the name of a song. When you connect someone with a song you connect them with a memory. Being a DJ allows you to help people travel through time.
