My mentor was my daycare provider who also owned her own Accounting business. She groomed me as a child growing up to become a great bookkeeper. About 7 years ago she had asked for me to take over her business and I would be assisting her in tax season. Unfortunately she passed away the next month and we never had the chance to see what would have become. I started my business immediately after but never pushed for it to be something. After working for someone who did thought they knew more then what they did, I quit my job. Went back to school and just recently opened the business for myself. I watched my previous boss not coding things the right way or arguing with the owner and I knew right there that was something I could not do. I am excited for my business to grow with all the talents I have to give.
