I was on vacation and found myself in pickle where I was in need of a place my Shepsky could hang out for the day on a whim. Whitaker Dog Day Camp was the closest to me so therefore the first place I called. The process was so fast, considering my dog had never been there before. I was able to drop Lu off not too long after the initial phone call. Everyone I spoke with was so pleasant and happy to help. I wish we knew about Whitaker much earlier in our journey with Daisy. But it’s never too late and I am glad we enrolled Daisy in the 2-week board and train program. Even if Daisy will be 8 years old next week, her coming home today less of a demanding Diva dog and so much more of a picture of a confident calm princess. We are forever grateful to Matt Bragg and his team.. what you have accomplished with Daisy in two weeks is simply astonishing! I had a wonderful experience. They helped my eight month old golden retriever and she is so much better after two weeks and she is when we started. From the initial call to the final drop off everyone has been extremely professional on time and knowledgeable. Matthew made it very easy for me to feel Comfortable giving the leash over for two weeks. I am very glad that I use them and would highly recommend to anybody. Thank you too the whole team!! More...

It was Rocky's first day at Whitaker. And from the start, they did not disappoint. Pick up time and communication (both with myself and Rocky) was great. I absolutely love WDDC! The pickup & drop off service is SO convenient if you’re someone that travels regularly & wants your pup home when you arrive. We love Whitaker!! Our dog Winnie absolutely loves going to camp and always comes home happy and exhausted. Whitaker makes our lives so much easier with busy work schedules or sometimes just wanting a regular weekend day without having to be on doggy time. Mike is the best!! Super responsive over text for booking purposes, and does a great job. Our girls come home fluffy and sweet-smelling after their groom sessions, and the convenience of having it done while they’re at daycare is so helpful. Highly recommend!

If I could put ten stars I would. The love and attention my dogs got was beyond! We were displaced due to the fires and Ethan and his team stepped up in and took over our situation. We have VERY large dogs (Irish Wolfhounds) most folks say they take big dogs until they see ours. Not only did they do an amazing job but when one of our dogs was not eating as much, Ethan took her home to his family. He sent us videos of his kids playing with our dogs and getting her to eat again. We think she was just sad and missing family. This was our first time ever boarding our dogs and we never even considered doing that until we were forced to. They are family and I would be happy (as would my dogs be) to take them back when needed. More...

Found Whitaker Dog Day Camp because I was in need of a place to board for the weekend. The process was super quick from the first message, to the dog interview/test, to the orientation day. This was done within 24 hours, and was super impressed with the communication and turn around time. Everyone from Shane to Mark were super friendly and had great vibes. Mabel started going to Whitaker’s in 2021 and we have loved it! The pickup and dropoff service is incredible and they are always super flexible and have accommodated all my moves and weird one-off situations over the years. My only gripe is that I can’t drop her off/pick her up myself when needed (if I need to have work done on the house early in the day, etc). The price is high but I know that Mabel is going to be taken care of and will actually be outside enjoying fresh air instead of trapped in a bad smelling room with no windows for 10 hours. 💖 More...

My dog has been going to Whitaker Dog day camp for 2 years. She has made many doggie & human friends. She loves to play in the fun playground groups. In summer, they swim in pools & run to their hearts content! The staff is well-trained, organized & Dog lovers. Plus the Van Pick Up & Drop off is swift and easy. The drivers are Paw-some! I would highly recommend this Day-camp to anyone wanting to pamper, socialize, exercise and stimulate their minds. Since my dog has a ton of energy. This may be long….in a good way.. My review will be focused mainly on Board and Train as that is our most recent experience with Whitaker. Our dogs are already members of their pack for daycare — sign up, trust me your dogs will thank you! Our dogs were most recently in board and and train for 4 weeks. We decided to try boarding as we had complete trust in Whitaker and thought it was the perfect opportunity for some training as well. We have 2 dogs with very different needs and personalilties. We have struggled with multiple trainers over the years, in particular with our leash reactive dog. We have never actually been helped nor has he. For anyone with a reactive dog, you know it is a beast, can feel very isolating, and there are so many opinions about how to handle it. We feel like we wasted valuable time with others; however, we have always wanted the best for our dogs. Whitaker has always been a positive place without judgement especially for our reactive dog. They gave him a chance way back when, when no body else would. So when we recently left for vacation, we reached out to find out what our options were. We were connected with their lead trainer Matt. We had a phone call and an in person meeting with him and I thought OMG … could this be our trainer?? He was calm, practical, honest and informative. You could sense his love for dogs immediately. I was very nervous releasing my dogs because they are like my kids, but I knew that this was going to be great. Let me tell you … I received a video message within hours of the dogs settling in and walking on a treadmill … I was in shock, in a good way, that my dogs could do that! LOL. Matt was completely accessible to us - for questions, check-in’s if we missed them etc. We received fantastic videos of our dogs on their training journey weekly which my whole family lived for. I felt at ease knowing someone like Matt was looking after my dogs. My dogs were doing things I never thought was even in their cards. My reactive dog was passing other dogs on leash, calm and engaged, sitting in place outside of a dog park without issue. Was he perfect? … no and Matt was not afraid to show us or tell, because it is all learning for our dog. I could see the work in daily disciplines that Matt had put in, the foundation was there and well rounded. I was so happy! Our other dog is a stranger danger dog. At the end of her training she was able to be in a highly stimulating area, set up with her own “Help Train Me” booth! Strangers were involved in helping my dog overcome her issues with people wanting to make eye contact or pet her. By the end she had a line of people wanting to help! It was amazing! Was she perfect? - no, did she completely relax by the end and enjoy it.. YES! The work was there, it was amazing! Our dogs came home with such a better understanding of what expectations are surrounding behavior in and out of the home. It was OUTSTANDING. Matt truly set us up for major wins and continued success with our dogs! We have finally found our trainer! Matt is the real deal, in a city full of make believe and we could not feel more fortunate that we were able to connect with him through Whitaker. I feel confident that he will remain accessible, be there for us and our dogs which is not been the case for some many years. With his program at Whitaker you get the full package, they are not just trying to sell you something to take your money and run. They are all invested in the well being of your dog and family. My youngish high-energy dog has been going to daycare at Whitaker Dog Day Camp for about 3 years now (3 days per week) because he needs more attention than I can provide during the work week. While there, he gets plenty of socialization with other dogs and people. He comes home tired & happy. He has also boarded several times when I’ve been out-of-town. Been taking my dog there for over a year and I love Whitaker!! The pick up and drop off is a life saver with my busy busy schedule and outrageous hours.
