Our focus is on one-to-one instruction, to help students reach their class level and maintain it throughout the semester (or during the summer). We don't try to introduce new techniques of learning; rather, we identify where the current problems exist and adapt our sessions accordingly.

Michael has tutored my two teenage daughters in advanced math for almost 3 years now and he has become much more than just a great math tutor. This is an outstanding business, dedicated to personalized services for your child. My child is not in high school and by-passed the SAT frenzy due to covid. This year, my child/college student faced taking the dreaded "math requirement" and I reached out to Joe and Tutor Doctor to help us get through this. My student met with an incredible tutor, Michael, who got to know the unique qualities of my child - and acknowledged the pure hatred of all things math. This is from a college student with a 3.99 GPA. My child aced the CLEP exam hereby ensuring the math requirement was met. What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy working with families, it's the best part! Specifically, I look forward discussing the students, their current needs, ambitions for the future, and anything else that paints a picture of them individually and enables me to make the perfect tutor match. Often these conversations occur right at the family's kitchen table :)
What inspired you to start your own business?
My years in pharmaceutical consulting were rewarding and taught me a lot about client service. I was ready to apply those skills to an industry I am passionate about.

We do both! Online is usually via an enhanced Zoom platform, but if a tutor has a preference for a different method they are free to deploy it. Of course, if you live here in the Philadelphia area, you have the added option of face-to-face sessions, whether at your home or in a local library.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
All tutors are vaccinated. Mask policy is entirely up to the family.
