When we moved here, we knew we needed to pick back up on leash training. After having some disappointing trainer interactions (good trainers, just not a great fit with our dog) I definitely looked at the reviews and was pleased to see that The Animals' House was highly reviewed, had the Novice class we wanted, AND they were nearby! Novice class was super great!! Matt was so good when we needed a demo of how to do something—and knowing my dog could do it with him gave me hope that I could learn to cue my dog the right way, too. We're looking at coming back for the Canine Good Citizen class in a few weeks, and I'll be signing up with Matt again! Highly recommend!! More...

Our husky mix recently completed the novice class and all I can say is THANK YOU SO MUCH, MATT! Loki and I both learned so much. More than helping Loki be an obedient pup, you helped me be a confident dog parent. Thank you for helping me understand Loki's behaviour better. Teaching us why we do what we are supposed to do rather than just simply telling us what to do most certainly helped us be successful in class. I never post reviews but if you're on the fence about sending your dog here for doggie boot camp, do it!!! My dog has had trouble with fear aggression and after nipping several people, we knew we had to get him some help. Nicole took excellent care of my fur baby and her assessment alone was very helpful. We now know what to do going forward to build his confidence and keep others safe. The day I brought him home he was playing fetch with me and I nearly cried. Could not recommend this place enough! We just picked up our two year old boxer from the 2-week boot camp. He came to us with virtually no socialization and various other behavioral issues. Scott worked diligently and with great patience on these issues and provided us numerous updates (even photos and videos) along the way! When we brought him in, he couldn’t pass another dog on the sidewalk without barking, lunging, and growling. After the two week stay, he is now able to be off-leash in a play group with numerous other dogs. To say the results are incredible is an understatement. Scott even took the time when we picked our dog up to teach us the techniques he was using and worked with us for over an hour on how to execute these techniques at home. We will have to do our part at home to re-train ourselves, however the head start Scott gave him is nothing short of a miracle. Definitely can’t wait to schedule our one-on-one training session (included in the boot camp) and some follow-up weekend training in the next few months! More...

Great day care for my pups. They are exhausted when they get home. As you know, a tired pup is a good pup. Haven't tried their overnight boarding or training yet but I hear it's excellent.

What can we say except THANK YOU! We take our 4 year old Rottweiler to see Kelly once or twice a month for some behavior issues. She has come a long way and we owe it to The Animals’ House. Before, we were hesitant taking her for walks due to her reactions with other dogs and strangers but we have gained confidence and have seen Onyx improve drastically. Been using these guys for about 14 years. I know my dog loves it because he is always pulling on the leash to get inside when he realizes where he is. We had no previous experience with this place since it’s not that close to our house but we took our 11 month old puppy here for the two week boot camp, all I can say is the results are nothing short of amazing and the price was very reasonable compared to what other places are charging. Our dog was so bad we were considering giving him away; he has come home like a completely different dog. Our main trainer was Matt; he obviously has a gift for working with dogs. They are miracle workers especially with their boot camp for leash reactivity. Both my dog and my parents dog were leash reactive. They came home from their respective stays and are so much better on walks. Also to add both dogs had a disastrous first meeting which resulted in a fight (pre-boot camp) after improvements in their leash walking and a long slow introduction and lots of joint walks both dogs get along so well with each other. After your pup comes home there's still work to be continued but the boot camp has been a wonderful foundation. Love this place. Yvette at the front is always upbeat and helpful. Matt must be a dog whisperer. 2 weeks ago if my dog saw another dog, he'd practically pull my arm off trying to run towards it and scream/howl his head off. It made me really anxious and naturally made other people worry too. After a week of boot camp and Matt patiently answering a million questions, Blue is doing phenomenally. Obviously I have to keep working with him so that he maintains/continues his progress, but we just encountered a large dog while walking and Blue didn't pull or bark once. He took a few steps towards the dog but turned around when I called. I'm thrilled. More...

The Animals' House is a wonderful place to take your canine companions! We had a naughty diva dog and a leash-reactive male, and the Canine Good Citizen course improved their behavior 10-fold! They also offer great classes such as agility, which my girl dog loves! Kathy, owner/lead trainer, is absolutely wonderful and you can tell she truly cares for every dog that comes through that door!
