Residential Interior Designers
Lori, owner of Studio Phariss, is deceitful, manipulative, and dishonest. She posted computer-generated images of my property online, falsely claiming them as her finished project to mislead the public.
These are 3D renderings of work that WAS NEVER DONE!
On April 19, 2024, I signed a contract with Lori for the redesign and remodel of my 6,600 sq. ft. home. I paid a $16,500 deposit plus a 25% expediting fee of $8,250 based on her promises to accelerate the project for a September 1, 2024, completion. She took $33,000 for services and $36,201.21 for materials—yet failed to order $7,051.93 worth and is still withholding those funds.
Lori only provided a preliminary master suite design, long past the promised completion date. The rest of the house remains WITHOUT any design plans, let alone construction! None of the contracted work—plumbing, cabinetry, countertops, kitchen, flooring, bathrooms, paint, hardware, or any outlined scope—has been completed.
Lori also uses unethical tactics to hold projects hostage, refusing to order materials until additional design payments are made to her —knowing the contractor is waiting, delaying my project. She demands material payments through her ACH system, inflating material and freight costs while blocking clients from communicating with vendors. This ensures clients never know actual material costs and leaves them without recourse in disputes.
She inflated freight charges by $1,070 despite vendors confirming free shipping.
She employed an unqualified hairstylist, Lindsey, who falsely claimed to be a lead designer but lacks formal credentials and attempted to furnish my entire home from ONE store (RH)—a clear sign of inexperience.
Additionally, Lori introduced a contractor who blatantly demanded a kickback—clearly in collusion.
