This review was a long time coming (finally getting round to my EOY thank yous!). Deborah catered a summer pool party for us in Santa Rosa, and was an absolute class act. She created a delicious menu of cheese boards and galets, mini kebabs and salads and a generous spread of brownies and cookies! Perfect for an outdoor casual event. Had a really nice brownie today while having some wine at Worldmark, in Windsor, CA. Deborah, was showcasing her baked goods and the brownie was moist and not overly sweet which is perfect because the chocolate she bakes with is stellar. I had a few sips of JRickard's Old Vine Zin, and the brownie paired well with the wine. I had to shame Deborah, a bit in order to let me taste the brownie, before purchasing. My daughter's bachelorette party started at Iron Horse Winery, and I wanted to make sure that the girls had breakfast before a day of drinking. Deborah did a private birthday dinner for 4 at our house in Guerneville and we couldn't be happier! She planned the entire menu after consulting with us on specific needs and knocked it out of the park--a gorgeous charcuterie board, puff pastry with veg and salmon, a divine Chilean sea bass with local vegetables--on the BBQ grill, and an amazing birthday cake that was coconut and passion fruit (OMG). She also brought 2 of the most delicious quiches (a veg and a sausage) we've ever tasted which lasted us the whole week for breakfasts. Deborah was excellent with communication and we had so much fun interacting with her the entire evening. This past Saturday, Deborah, assisted by Matt pulled off a miracle for us, preparing and serving a perfection dinner for our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration! With less than 48 hours before our private dinner, our prearranged caterer canceled! We found Deborah's website and she contacted us immediately! She helped select a dinner menu, promised to "make it happen" and she did. The food was delicious (dinner for 12 including 3 vegetarians), all prepped and cooked on site with great appetizers, chicken, vegetarian lasagna, flank steak and roasted potatoes! Deborah prepared a very special meal for our party. We had a kosher request as well and she was able to meet that need easily by replacing ribeye with delicious halibut for our friend. She put out a beautiful appetizer spread that we were able to enjoy slowly when we had our wine by the fire pit. Once we were all done enjoying that, she brought the main meal out and we were able to make our plates and sit down and enjoy our dinner until she presented us with a delicious chocolate cake. The ribeyes were juicy and the sauce was lovely. The lemon ricotta pastas she made from scratch were amazing (only wish I had saved some for the next day!) and the salad was perfect for a summer evening. I am very sad to say in spite of our event planner telling this caterer multiple times about a significant food allergy as well as Me telling the caterer how serious it was, the "Special meal " made for me contained the Allergen in spite of it being marked for me. I love supporting small businesses, but this woman was pushy at the Farmers market, and I felt pressured to buy a quiche. This quiche was not cheap at $26 .50. I'll start this out with saying, the food is delicious. However, the lady who owns the business has an extremely bad attitude. When I paid for my quiche at the farmers market, she swiped my card and signed my name for me. This is illegal. Did she tip herself? Furthermore, I can't eat onions. I asked her if the quiche Lorraine has onions, and she said, "I don't use any onions." Lo and behold, I go home and there's giant slivers of white onions in the quiche Lorraine. Again, this is illegal. You can't lie to your customers about ingredients in the food you make and sell. 5/5 SHINING STARS! This was one of the most wonderful experiences I've ever had ordering food delivery. I contacted Deborah a few weeks ago to see if she offered delivery for a single quiche, as it was my sister's birthday and I'm based in NYC. Once I told Deborah that and how much I missed her, she went ABOVE and BEYOND to make this birthday delivery extra special, noting "if it was for my sister or brother, I'd want someone to take good care of them too." Deborah and I chatted on the phone and she offered to go to the local farmers market and pick up a bouquet of flowers, chocolates, and a trinket to add into the gift, all while keeping it cost-effective and personal. She hand-delivered the quiche and supplemental gifts to my brother-in-law, taking the time to find access through their gated community and drop it off right to their front door. I just cannot thank her enough - never in my life have I experienced such a personal touch from a stranger. It's hard enough to not be able to see family during these times, but Deborah made me feel like she did her best to make my sister's day a little more special. Oh, and according to my sister, the quiche was INCREDIBLE - "this crust tastes like a stick of butter." I wish we could give Deborah & her Quiche & Carry team a 100 stars !! It was just fantastic. We hosted a brunch for 70 guests for our daughter' s baby shower. We went with the menu Deborah suggested which included their signature quiches, strawberry french toast casserole,eggs, turkey sausage,roasted potatoes, yogurt w/ their homemade granola, fresh fruit, & fresh baked scones & zucchini bread. Deborah cartered an impressive and delicious Thanksgiving dinner for 14 of my family and friends. She cooked traditional Thanksgiving dishes and added a mushroom soup to the menu. I met Deborah in Emeryville to give my serving dishes and I was able to pick up everything on Thanksgiving Day on time at 12:30pm and bring it back to San Francisco where I live. Deborah catered my daughter's bridal shower a couple of weeks ago, and she did not disappoint! After searching for weeks, I found Deborah on Yelp. She was very attentive to all of my questions, and I had a lot. She was honest and told me I was ordering way to much food for the amount of guests we were having, and right than I knew she could be trusted, she had my as her clients best interest at heart. I got to start off by knowing what kind of menu you want , what the function all about and whats important to you as well. Once i know that it becomes a puzzle i put together .
