My experience with PNC was so amazing! I had my pup go through the 4 week Board and Train program and could not be happier with the results. I am able to take my pup out and about without him going absolute bananas. He is still a pup but now there are the tools in place to make everything easier and not just pure chaos. More...

What do you do when you have a large breed dog, 110 lbs (Cane Corso) when you can no longer walk him with control? He has a mind of his own and will obey commands only when he wants to? Thinks our King size bed is his and we are allowed to share it with him? You find yourself the BEST DARN TRAINERS you can!!! We found Garrett and Brianna who are Pacific Northwest Canine and after our consultation, determined a 4 week Board and Train was the best solution for our boy Brody! Due to some unique circumstances he spent 5 1/2 weeks with PNC and and came home a much better behaved and manageable dog. We are in day 4 of our 90 day protocol and are amazed at his progress in performing tasks and responding to commands that he previously ignored. Garret and Brianna are professional and friendly and got to know what our dog was all about and then worked through his anxiousness and insecurities to present him with challenges to achieve better and manageable behavior, obedience and still be our silly, fun-loving Brody! We HIGHLY recommend PNC to anyone with a dog of any size to use their years of training and expertise for their dogs. They truly are more than the 5 Stars allowed for this review. In our mind they are priceless! Attached are some before and during training photos. More...

My partner and I feel very happy to have found Pacific Northwest Canine trainers for our 1 year old lab. We were at our wits end trying to manage her excitement and energy and have a life! We had tried several training programs and styles with little success until we met Brianna and Garrett at PNW Canine. We really appreciated their clear and sensitive communication style, which demonstrated understanding of both the psychology of humans and dogs. It informs the way they train (both humans and dogs) and speaks to their successful outcomes. At the end of a period of doggie daycare, and board and train, our beloved pup is more manageable than we ever imagined. We continue to implement the training program that they introduced to maintain the great results they achieved with her. And they continue to support us (this is the human training) whenever we have questions or experience a small set-back with our pup. We are sure to keep this relationship that's been established! PNW Canine is the place to go if you are looking for serious, committed dog training with good results! More...

PNW Canine (Brianna and Garrett) have been a true partner for my pup and I. We came to them for help with separation anxiety, crate training and reactivity. My pup had broken out of a crate previously and couldn’t be left alone safely. He can now be left in his crate and stay mostly calm and we have our freedom back! He is much better on the leash and generally calmer and more under control. We were running out of options and PNW came to our rescue. We still have work to do but have many more tools and ways to work through things now. Brianna has been such a good listener and patient with us throughout the process as I was very unsure about using the e-collar and had a lot of questions. Would highly recommend! More...

Pacific Northwest Canine has been a great training and boarding resource for our family and high energy dog. They are easy to work with and communicate openly. Their knowledge of different breeds, needs, nutrition, and energy, resources available to them, and their level of discipline and detail is awesome. I’m now able to have a leisurely and enjoyable walk or 5k run with our dog. It was the perfect fit for our family and we continue to use their services for boarding, knowing our pup will be well cared for in a loving and structured environment. More...

Life-Changing Experience with Brianna at Pacific Northwest Canine I can’t recommend Brianna and Pacific Northwest Canine highly enough! When I first contacted them, I was at my wit's end with my dog, Stella. I had grown up with dogs and felt confident I could handle her when I adopted her at 6 weeks old. But as time went on, her behavioral issues—reactivity, aggression toward other dogs, and resource guarding—became overwhelming. I spent months researching trainers and ultimately chose PNW Canine because their experience and training philosophy gave me the most confidence. From the very first consultation, Brianna was incredibly transparent. She set realistic expectations, explaining that this kind of behavior modification would require a strong commitment from me, not just from Stella. I appreciated her honesty and the comprehensive explanations she provided for every aspect of the training. She also equipped me with reading materials that helped me understand why the techniques worked and how to continue applying them at home. Stella attended the four-week board and train program, and the difference has been astounding. Before training, her world was shrinking due to her intense anxiety and reactivity toward other dogs, even the ones in our own home. She struggled with walks, constantly on alert, and I wasn’t sure how to help her. But after working with Brianna, Stella is a completely different dog—more confident, less anxious, and happier overall. She no longer reacts aggressively toward our other dogs, has stopped resource guarding, and walks beautifully on a loose leash. Her reactivity to outside triggers like other dogs, humans, and even cars and skateboards has significantly decreased. Stella’s recall, even off-leash, is now rock solid, and I feel much more in control with the e-collar training. As a beagle with strong instincts to follow scents and bark, the fact that I can trust her off-leash and enjoy calm, controlled walks is nothing short of miraculous. Her barking and howling at home have been dramatically reduced as well, which has made life much more peaceful for everyone. Brianna is a true professional—always communicative, responsive, and deeply invested in the well-being of both the dog and the owner. I felt completely safe leaving Stella with her, and the follow-up support has been fantastic. Every time I’ve had a question or concern, Brianna has been quick to respond and always provides thoughtful, helpful advice. If you're considering training with PNW Canine, know that it requires commitment and consistency. You will continue using the e-collar, and training doesn't end once the program does—it's an ongoing process. But the results are absolutely worth it. Stella’s transformation has improved both of our lives in ways I never thought possible. I highly recommend Pacific Northwest Canine for anyone struggling with their dog’s behavior. It’s been the best decision I’ve ever made for Stella! More...

As a dog mom who felt stuck and a bit frustrated with diy training/positive training, I was in search for someone who can understand where I’m coming from. I have met with some trainers and went with PNWCanine after reading all the positive outcomes. My 2yr old goldendoodle started showing leash reactivity, hyper excitement (that doesn’t have an off switch) and as someone who loves the great outdoor, my pup doesn’t always come when called. We chose the 4wk B&T and work with Garrett as well as doing mid/go home session and post-training follow up with Brianna. Not only did Garrett and Brianna took the time to answer all my questions/concerns, but also gave a lot of pointers/problem solving on my end on how to become a better leader. I can’t say enough thank you for the lessons not only for my pup, but also for myself. We still have a long ways to go, but my pup is now more calm and checks-in, heeling on long walks and able to ignore min environmental stimuli. If you are looking for the right people who will take the time to listen and understand your situation, I would recommend reaching out to PNW Canine. More...

I brought my two energetic, excitable Border Collie and Belgian Malinois dogs to Brianna and Garrett for a two-week board and train, hoping they would learn to walk better, follow commands better, and learn to manage their energy better. They did all of that! I didn't opt for the e-collar, but even just with prong collars they came away from their two-week time with Brianna much, much improved. They now walk nicely without pulling, have learned to stay in "place," and the one that was not yet crate trained now is. There were other things that Brianna explained could not be promised in only two weeks--such as perfect recall, or dealing with dog reactivity--and even though they didn't really have time to focus on those things, I've noticed that they've improved somewhat even with just the two-week program. Brianna was helpful, professional, and responsive the entire time, and afterwards. A great improvement for us--thanks PNW Canine! More...

We were having reactivity and confidence issues with our 2 year old Corgi. Brianna was great in helping us become independent with our new training tools to include an e-collar and the place command that she worked on with our dog during his 4 week board and train. While Koda is still a work in progress, he is getting better every day and walking him is less stressful. He is able to stay calm inside the house when he hears outside noises and is improving in his recall with distractions. We know he is only going to get better from here. We brought our two young, very chaotic dogs to Brianna for their 4 week board & train program. We had issues with walking (pulling), recall, and our rescue dog who was extremely anxious. She gave us so much good advice and taught us a lot that we had not known about dog ownership. (Both our families raised dogs completely differently growing up so we were pretty lost). By the time we brought them home, they were so much calmer and receptive. Our huge lab was no longer a bull in a china shop or a jumping menace to our family. Neither of them were dragging us on walks and were heeling much better. They came when called, even our anxious one who used to bolt away the opposite direction. This was most important since he was an escape artist before and we were so scared for his safety. Our other big boy, who used to like to play chase instead of coming in after going potty, would only go when we said “break” and then would patiently sit at the threshold and wait to come back in. Our anxious pup who would bark/whine at everything that would scare him (ie everything) was soo unbothered even when seeing rabbits in the yard or hearing our neighbor’s dogs bark. We knew we’d have to continue the work and they wouldn’t be perfect angels immediately, but omg it’s damn near close. Brianna had beyond exceeded our expectations. It’s been like night and day differences and everyone has been enjoying our walks/life so much more! More...

We cannot recommend Pacific Northwest Canine enough. We put our Lab puppy (Oakley) through their 4 week board and train program for leash work, reactivity and in general not being able to relax. Oakley has made significant improvements because of their program and I am incredibly grateful that they were able to help us. Before we were barely able to take her on a walk around the neighborhood without her pulling, barking, and lunging. Since being in the program I am able to take Oakley on hikes, camping, to Home Depot, to the park and the list goes on. She is also now calm when people come into our home instead of jumping and running around. Brianna has been able to help us along the way with any questions that have come up! More...

Brianna and PNW Canine and Brianna are incredible! We had just gotten a new GSD puppy, Bella, and we were looking for a professional board and train to train her early so we could get a handle on her behavior, temperament, and obedience.
PNW Canine was ABSOLUTELY the right choice! Using the "balanced method" of training, Brianna brought us a well behaved, calm, and obedient dog. At the same time, she trained US as owners on how to properly lead our dog to success. PNW has given us the skills to build a good and happy dog for her lifetime!
PNW Canine gave structure to the training, focusing on our role as leaders in the owner/dog relationship. Brianna was instructing my wife and I on some things that I thought strange, such as ignoring the dog and withholding affection. She required us to read The Good Dog Way: Love Them By Leading Them, by Sean O'Shea. After reading this book, I was enlightened on the "why?" Brianna also required us to buy and use an e-collar as a corrective tool. This went against EVERYTHING I'd ever experienced or read which mostly said, "reward the dog with treats and affection when she does something good." PNW trained us on the correction aspect of training to create a "balanced" program. We learned how our actions can affect the dog's behavior and well being, and how to use all available tools to create a calm, polite, and obedient dog.
Included in the board and train program are four post-board in-home lessons. Determined not to waste our investment, I did everything Brianna told me to do upon Bella's return to our home. It is A LOT of work, but worth every penny. During today's second in-home lesson, Brianna told me, "Bella is even better than when I dropped her off two weeks ago!" I wondered, "Where is my 'good owner' treat?" The PNW Canine board and train program is worth WAY more than what we paid!

We are so happy we found Brianna and PNW Canine. We have a 6 year old Alaskan Klee Kai that we got from a breeder at 2 years old. He was never introduced to any other dogs or people until we got him. This has made him very scared and nervous around strangers. He would chase behind people and nip at their heels. We now have a 3 month old and wanted to get our dog training so that we will feel safe with our dog around our daughter. Brianna was great about setting expectations especially considering our dog is already 6 and has had these behaviors ingrained over the years and that it may be difficult to get him to break those habits. She recommended the 1 month board and train option. Initially I wanted to try the in home lessons as it was cheaper, but we I am so glad we chose the board and train option. We didn't realize that it also included multiple in home sessions after the 1 month board and train. We have had our dog back for almost a month now and he is doing great. The training is as much for the dog as it is the owners. We have changed how we interact with our dog and have much more structure for him day to day. Overall he is doing great and the longer we work with him the better it will get. He is much calmer around strangers and stressful noise around the house. I would not hesitate to recommend Brianna and PNW Canine to anyone. We are very happy with the job they did. Thank you! More...

We are so happy we found PNW Canine!
Our 2 year old dog Bruno had developed reactivity with other dogs and people, primarily as a result of attending doggy daycare on an almost daily basis, as well us not having the knowledge or tools for how to address these issues.
This would include jumping on people, sometimes lunging, and barking or growling. He was almost always in an aroused energetic state, he would pull on the leash on walks, parkour around the house, demand attention, and was a bulldozer with people and dogs. We also didn’t realize the things we were doing that were contributing to the problem, like babying him and not being consistent with what was expected of him.
We found PNW Canine after searching the internet and reaching out to local trainers. We felt like they could be a great fit and decided to set up a consult, which went great!
We did a 6 week board and train for Bruno, and worked with Brianna for all of Bruno’s training. She was amazing in her communication and flexibility in regards to scheduling, email correspondence, providing updates on Bruno’s progress, and at the midway lesson. She is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. She increased our awareness and understanding of how we can advocate for Bruno, and focus on his state of mind. Bruno was very overstimulated by the doggy daycare free-for-all environment and it lacked the structure he needs. He has improved SO much because PNW Canine helped channel his energy and taught us how to implement structure, boundaries, consistency, clear direction and earned affection in order to create respect and understanding. We’ve learned just as much as Bruno through this process and we are all better for it. We will follow through with his training and we feel confident that this foundation will continue to improve our relationship with Bruno so we can co-exist with more harmony and insight into dog psychology.
We also loved seeing updates and videos of Bruno on their Instagram page.
After board and train, Bruno is able to loose leash walk, has gained recall and follow skills, he is crate trained, knows place command, down, stays until released, waits at thresholds, and has more confidence and calm manners. We are still working on his interactions with strangers and new guests in the home, but we feel we have the tools and knowledge to make progress in this area.
Brianna also has been so helpful with follow up lessons included and that has really been beneficial. In addition, we love and appreciate that we will be able to utilize PNW Canine in the future for boarding when we go out of town.
We have had a wonderful experience with PNW Canine and would highly recommend their services.

My 1 year old goldendoodle Beau had major leash reactivity to the point where I would dread taking him on walks or even outside to pee. I live in a dog friendly apartment community, so seeing other dogs when we went outside was inevitable. Beau is not aggressive and plays great with other dogs off the leash and I didn’t believe he would ever hurt anyone. This issue caused me (and I’m sure Beau too) a severe amount of anxiety and frustration. We did the 4 week board and train with PNW canine and it has honestly been life changing for us. I look forward to our walks and I’m no longer being dragged around. He is by no means perfect and we are still working on a few things, but we can walk past dogs with confidence now. I learned just as much as Beau did. I highly recommend Brianna and Garrett! More...

If I could leave more than 5 stars I would. Our 1 year old Bernedoodle, Ellie, did a 4 week board & train in November 2021 to work on her anxiety and reactivity. Brianna was amazing at sending us updates throughout Ellie's stay and prepared us well for Ellie's coming home, but our wonderful experience did not end there. Brianna spent hours at our apartment the day Ellie came home making sure we had everything we needed to continue the work they had done together. Ellie is less anxious, more receptive to our guidance, isn't as reactive on walks (especially at night time), and has enough structure that we now feel confident as dog parents and as her trainers. Our only goal with this training was to reduce Ellie's stress, anxiety, and give her a better quality of life. Brianna has given Ellie the foundation she needed to accomplish those things and so much more, in addition to giving my partner and I the training we needed to give Ellie what she needs. PNW Canine has changed Ellie's life and our lives for the better and we are so grateful to Brianna and PNW Canine for the love, support, and structure they have given Ellie. Thank you so much! I feel so lucky to have found this training team after nearly a year of meeting with “top” trainers in the Seattle area who were not able to equip us to handle our dog’s reactivity. Brianna and Garret are firm but fair. They used tools and concepts that we were familiar with as well as some ideas that hadn’t been introduced by other trainers. Their techniques are balanced. I can’t say enough good about PNW Canine. Brianna and Garrett are wonderful to work with and obviously care for dogs deeply. We have a Mini Aussie named Beans who was 8 months old when we found PNW. I wish we had found them sooner. Beans is very high energy and was under socialized, not to any fault of his. He went to Board and Train with Brianna and Garrett for five weeks that turned into six, Beans is special. They were always available for an update or progress report on how he was doing. Beans came home a much more attentive dog that is receptive to commands and really pays attention. It has been work and it still is. We have to work with him every day. It is exhausting at times but Brianna is always available for a pep talk or to let us know we are doing things right. We are still having our home training and it is going very well. Working with Garrett and Brianna was one of the best decision I've made for Djacal & Gucci. Djacal (GSD) and Gucci (dachshund) are both around 4 years old and struggling with reactivity, leash-pulling and constant barking. Our boys did a 4-week board and train and currently ongoing with private lessons. Now we're able to have guests over without Gucci's constant barking and go on walks with them by my side in a calm state of mind. The process wasn't easy, took a lot of time and effort, but it's worth it and it sure feels amazing to experience the transformation. The program isn't just for your dogs, you will also learn to become a better and more responsible dog owner. Big thanks to PNW Canine for giving us the solution and this magnificent experience! Garrett and Brianna at PNW Canine did an amazing job with our dog Oakley. He is a Mini Aussie and we did a 3 week board and train when he was 4 months old.
At the time he pulled on the leash, did not like his crate and was very mouthy with us among a few other things. After the program he came back to us as a confident puppy who loved his crate, didnt pull on the leash and was not constantly trying to "herd" us.
We are so grateful we decided to work with Brianna & Garrett and are excited to continue to work with Oakley to build our bond and his confidence.

We could not be happier with the experience.
We rescued a 5 y/o Weim last April. We are experienced dog owners but really struggled with his anxiety and leash reactivity making our evening neighborhood walk stressful for all involved and making hikes on narrow trails just impossible.
Our dog responded very well to the trainers, and we really like the way they transition from the trainers to us as owners, teaching us what we need to know and checking in to make sure we are doing well. As a result we’re able to walk our dogs without the leash reactivity and other aspects of the training help our rescue to live his best life.
Thumbs up!

Garrett and Brianna at PNW Canine did an amazing job with our dog, Ollie! Our 1.5yr old aussiedoodle was extremely reactive to both humans and dogs that we encountered outside of our house (lobby of our apartment, outside, etc. ) and it got to a point where we were concerned about others safety. His fear and anxiety limited us from doing many “normal” activities, such as taking a walk around the neighborhood, without being dragged down the street. Through Garrett and Brianna’s 3-week board/train, they were able to successfully implement their behavioral modification techniques and taught Ollie how to be confident in not only himself, but also in us, as his pack leaders. They meticulously analyzed Ollie’s behavior every day of his training to properly pair him with the techniques and tools that would bring success to us all. And it wasn’t over after those 3 weeks! After the board/train, they made sure we fully comprehended the techniques and tools they had used to ensure that we could implement them properly at home. This was done during the 4x follow-up sessions where they travelled to our apartment to troubleshoot any real-world issues that arose during the days between the follow-up sessions. It’s clear that Garrett and Brianna genuinely care about what they do and are confident in the knowledge they demonstrate in their training. They are honest and kind people and we are so thankful for everything they have done for our Ollie and for us! Garrett and Brianna have truly changed our lives as Ollie can now live a more structured and relaxed life and we couldn’t have asked for anyone better to help train our dog! More...

We are SO HAPPY we went with Garret and Brianna! We checked out a few different trainers, and would pick them again in a heart beat.
Our pup Rollo (1.5 year old Shar Pei) had some confidence and separation problems. After 2 weeks with Garrett and Brianna, we have noticed a HUGE difference with Rollo. What really stood out to me was the personal touch they give to each and every dog they work with. They know it's not a "one size fits all" type of deal, and they really went above and beyond to get Rollo comfortable with them, using different techniques, and taking the time to do so. The follow up sessions they offer have been incredibly useful as well! I think we the humans (Mom and Dad to Rollo) have learned just as much, if not more than Rollo, from Garrett and Brianna.
We both really trust them as Trainers, and also really liked the facility they use. We plan to continue working with Brianna and Garrett as needed, and to use their boarding facility for future needs!
Thank you so much Brianna and Garret! You've helped to make Rollo a more confident and happy dog, and us to be more confident owners!!

Each dog must be crate trained and have no serious separation anxiety (ex: barking when leaving the room etc.) Owners will be asked to provide their own crates. For an additional $20/per day, your dog can enjoy 30-minute group play sessions with other boarding dogs as well as our personal pack of dogs. All dogs sleep in their own crates overnight where we have AC/Heating units, fans, air diffusers, and oil diffusers (with dog-safe oils) to keep everyone content during their stay with us.
