Absolute painful experience working with Jon Pimentel. If he’s not responding to your emails (for months), he’s avoiding answering your questions directly. My husband and I understand that our property was a unique case due to violations attached, but our initial contact with him was in August 2024 and we didn’t receive a proposal until December 2024 that turned out to be out-of-scope and over our budget by more than half. When we asked him to explain the plans for our small residential 3-unit in detail before we forked over $18,000, it was very much like pulling teeth to get a comprehensible explanation and he just deferred to his “experience doing this for a long time.” We never heard from him again afterward.PMPC was a referral, so we thought we could trust this firm while we were busy dealing with closing and making renovation plans. It’s funny because we then looked into other architectural firms right after receiving PMPC’s proposal and those firms responded promptly, understood what needed to be done to actually address the violations, and provided a reasonably scoped and priced proposal. That said, we were frustrated with Jon’s abysmal communication skills, limited understanding of our requirements, and general unprofessional handling of our case that all resulted in delays in the construction process. Don't skip over the bad reviews. Perhaps small residential projects are fine, but don't depend on them for larger projects. After numerous initial mistakes and delays, Prashanth personally said he would take over the project and he didn't; it cost months and months of delays and holding costs. What a disaster. Jon and his team were excellent to work with. They drew plans for our small residential remodel and got our permit from the city. We were required to work with an architect to replace a load bearing wall with a beam to open up our space. We only needed the plans/permit since we are doing the work ourselves, and many other companies would not take on a job so small. PMPC had no problem with it. What do you love most about your job?
I love meeting new people and cherish the fact that I am involved in the transformation process of their home / future home. I value the trust my clients place on me and my office. We take it seriously and offer them the best service through the completion of their project and beyond.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I am a product of the last recession and rather than search for another job, chose to start my own. Over the last ten years and successful completion of hundreds of projects and building a successful team, I enjoy the challenges each day brings and coming up with creative solutions.
