We sent our 7 month old samoyed puppy for a 2 week training program to work on walking on a leash, "place", and overall manners and recall. Lori was great and very communicative about the entire process! I can now take him for walks without him pulling like he used to and he will stay on his place or other commands until he is released. Send your dog here! Lori is an absolute wonder with dogs. We sent our 9 month old vizsla for a 2 week stay while we were out of the country. With Lori's positive training technique his reactive barking, ability to recall, and overall general manners all improved dramatically. We brought our Baja Baby to Lori a few weeks after we adopted him. He was terrified of loud sounds, other dogs, and pulled on the leash. After Lori trained him, he is so good on the leash, heals when he walks and stays calm when he hears Los noises. We continue to use Lori and her partner for boarding our boy because we trust her and her partner implicitly. He had such a good time. They have trained both of my German Shepherd mixes and have helped us integrate them. They have helped us anytime we have had questions and even came over to our house when things weren't going as smoothly as expected. Lori and her family are wonderful! We had a newly adopted dog that struggled with insecurity and structure. 4 weeks with Lori and he came back to us a confident, obedient and happy dog. He has good manners and listens to his commands thanks to the dedication and hard work Lori put in. We don't trust our animals with just anyone so it's huge we trusted Lori. She's treats all of the dogs like family. She sent us regular updates with video and pictures. It was so beneficial to have the meeting with her before we brought our dog, Jax, home. She instructed us on the commands and how to keep him consistent. I couldn't not be more thankful for Lori and her husband for taking in my dog with some behavioral issues and turning him into a dream. Lori really takes the time to learn and understand what it is that the dogs are going through and trains them accordingly to their issues. Lori and her husband are, in my opinion, miracle workers! My dog had some pretty bad habits before leaving for training and he made my husband and I both pretty nervous because we didn’t know how he’d react. Where do I begin??!!! Harlo Quinn is a pittie mix. I had concerns with reactivity on walks and because of her breed, I did not want and misunderstandings. Also, I wanted a better quality of life for her!! I scoured the Internet and reviews and found Paws Learn in Paradise. Your pet is boarded in the comfort of their own home and treated like their own! Lori is a dog whisperer!!! See the photos attached! Lori is in constant contact! Will answer all questions. Suggest what you may need for the future. Harlo has learned her basic commands and can be around other dogs!! She has really opened up and really shown out!! Walking with her at a heel and no pulling!! Just amazing!!! Lori would not let her go home until she was sure she was comfortable with Harlo's skills. So Harlo stayed an additional week. And it truly was worth it!!! Lori is fantastic! The training she did with my dog Milo has made a world of difference. Milo is a 5 year old miniature Bull Terrier. I adopted him in February from a rescue. He appeared to be very sweet but I knew he had already been already been adopted out and returned, along with being in the rescue for over a year. I got him home a quickly found out that while he was smart, he was impossibly stubborn and terribly reactive to other dogs. Training him was beyond a challenge and walks were impossible. I felt helpless. After much research and discussion with multiple trainers, I chose Paws Learn in Paradise. We scheduled time and I dropped him off. I got regular updates and a few weeks later I picked him up. He was the same sweet boy but he now was well behaved and easy on a leash. When I got him home, I really noticed the impact of his training. I could tell he still wanted to do some of his naughty inclinations but I could tell he had learned to resist his urges and now was actively choosing to be a good boy which has greatly reduced my stress. He's now a pleasure to be around and when out on walks we are able to pass other dogs without incident. All thanks to Lori! I took my 8 month old ShihTzu , Gracie to Paws Learn in Paradise, because although she was a loving little dog, she did as she pleased! Gracie spent two weeks with Lori, and when she came home she was even more of a joy to be around! She kept pace with me on walks, came to me when I called, would lie down in her place when commanded and generally was well behaved! My four year old Schnoodle Luke, had a lot of aggressive behavior, he had severe separation anxiety, he wouldn't really listen to me, and he just had a lot of issues overall. But after sending him to Paws Learn in Paradise, he came back a completely different dog. He is still the same silly old Luke, but with a lot of hard work, even now, Luke has become a much more well-behaved dog. I walk him around now and I always get compliments on how well-behaved he is. When we rescued our dog, Coco, we were faced with multiple unforeseen challenges. Walks were tedious with her pulling constantly and, at the sight of any other dog or passersby, she would lose control, making walks almost impossible. Having household guests became stressful as well, since her behavior was unpredictable and she wasn't responding to our attempts at training. After a few instances of my husband and I both being pulled to the ground by her on walks, we realized we needed help for our sanity, safety and for Coco's sake. Seeking Lori's support and expertise was the best thing we ever did and we regret not doing it sooner. After some time with Lori, Coco returned transformed having been given the foundation for training and appropriate behaviors that we were unable to provide in the beginning. Trusting and working with Lori has truly been life-changing for our fearful dog (Diego had been beaten by his past owner, before we rescued him). He was fearful of most people, especially men. He was stubborn on leash, and was most often not responding to commands. Lori's effective approach, focused on trust, building his confidence and teaching him how to properly behave with other dogs and humans. The 3-week stay he had at her place made an unbelievable difference. Diego's fear of people has drastically decreased, his confidence grown exponentially, walks are super enjoyable with him heeling constantly, and he responds reliably to commands. Lori and Paws Learn in Paradise is a lifesaver and is truly transformative! We had been looking to find boarding for our large German Shepherd pup, but didn't have great experiences with daycares, dog sitters, and other trainers who didn't seem to have experience with active and anxious pups. We thought we'd never be able to travel until we found Lori! She takes the time to observe and understand your pup, and she's truly a dog whisperer and understands their cues and behaviors. It's amazing what she can do in a few weeks - she worked with our dog on his reactivity and anxiety, and we no longer have to worry about him being reactive or anxious during our walks and when we leave him. I don't have anything but positive things to say about Paws in paradise. I have a four year-old rescued Australian Shepherd with a very strong will and herding instincts. He has a history of biting and aggressive behavior. He also has a wonderful heart and sweet nature. He went to stay with Lori at Paws in paradise and came home a different dog. actually socialized with people and dogs now I took him to doggy yesterday and he was perfect. We sent both of our pups to board and train with Lori and I wish we would have done it sooner! Worth every penny, she addressed all of the behaviors we flagged as concerns. Lori was an absolutely amazing trainer. She was very communicative and committed to helping my pitty. My goal was to have her be more obedient and assist with socialization. Lori went over and beyond to help my pup with both challenges. I'm currently 2 months post training and it's been a world of change. Walks have been easier, no pulling, and reactive behavior towards other dogs. Also her indoor behavior has improved she knows exactly where her "place" is. The biggest win is my girl being social with other pups. We haven't done the dog park but I love that she can greet other dog and not be reactive regardless of the other dog's behavior. In January of 2023, we left our mini goldendoodle Hayden with Lori for a 4 week training program.

We've had Hayden since he was a puppy and he's always had some aggression issues: resource guarding, general stubbornness, impatience with the vet or groomer (or us), and severe separation anxiety. The list we left Lori of things to work on was long and it felt unattainable.

At pickup, Lori gave us her undivided attention for 2+ hours and walked us through all the things she worked on and discovered, then spent time answering all our questions and practicing with us until we were comfortable to continue the training at home.

Since bringing him home, it is like we've finally moved on from his toddler phase and have a dog we don't constantly have to keep an eye on. Lori had the patience and persistence to work through Hayden's anxiety and to teach him that he doesn't rule the world. His leash manners are now incredible, he stays off the couch, he doesn't beg at the dinner table, we can leave toilet paper on the roll, we can drop something on the floor without fear he'll run and take it, he doesn't eat mulch pieces outside(!), the list goes on and on. These are all things we never could've imagined (and had tried for YEARS to train/correct).

It’s over a year later and Hayden is still thriving within his new routines. It's truly a whole new world for the three of us. Thank you, Lori (and your team, and your family.) I think getting Hayden to this point was an all-hands-on-deck situation and we couldn't be more grateful.

Our dog, a Belgian Malinois named Oscar, was always friendly but had a couple of issues, particularly leash pulling. After the board and train, Oscar became significantly more well-behaved and all of his pulling went away. Oscar seemed to like the place and there were plenty of updates on how he was doing. I sent my two pitties- brother and sister from the same litter- here for training. If you know dogs, you know training twins is ten times harder than just one dog. My dogs had issues with pulling on leashes, resource guarding, dog aggression, jumping, all the issues, really. They are sweet dogs but my goodness they were bad. Paw Paradise took the time to make sure my bad babies were well trained. They now go to and stay on their beds, heel when walking, ignore other dogs (with occasional corrections) quiet when commanded, and are overall very well trained. Dog boarding for training is a huge investment, but this team makes sure you get your monies worth! And like others say- your dogs come back to you bathed which is an amazing perk! Let's just start by saying I can't believe I can walk my dog out in public! After 2 trainers and out $5000 I was referred to Paw Paradise by a co-worker. My 5 year old Rottweiler Sage and I had to move into a new place due to Covid and she wasn't adjusting to our new neighborhood. She's always been a little timid but after the move she started lunging and reacting to little dogs. I had paid for 1 in home trainer (which only lasted 2 lesson attempts) group lessons (highly don't recommend for a dog with Sages issues) and finally I found Lori with the options of a bootcamp. I didn't realize there was dog trainers who keep the dogs in their home with them while they trained them. I signed up Sage for a 3 week bootcamp that wasn't cheap but definitely worth every penny. Lori even asked to keep Sage for an extra week with no extra cost from me because she just wasn't 100% confident that Sage was ready for a walk out in public. I was hesitant of course because Sage is my only partner and I missed her but the risk of her actually biting someone or another dog just wasn't worth it. Fast worward-Lori and I scheduled a "Go Home" lesson and after about 1 1/2hrs of having me repeat Sages new commands and a walk through her neighborhood, Sage came home. It took a little work once we got home byt now I feel as if a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. I can not say enough wonderful things about Paw Paradise. Lori, the owner, has such an incredible gift when it comes to working with dogs. The true dog whisperer She went above & beyond to help me as an owner also feel well informed on what i was doing after my fur baby left her facility. (I work with kids so i already knew that more than half of "training"/learning was continuing things at home as the parent/owner) Sometimes its hard as an owner to understand & continue things correctly so that it "sticks" but it's a true investment so that's such a huge part of it! She did everything to make sure that all of her and my pups hard work continued at home and set us both up for success! I'm so fortunate to have found paw paradise for my pups training needs. I had no worries leaving my Golden Retriever there for basic obedience training after I had already sent my chiweenie a few years back for training. Lori, the owner, has always made me feel extremely comfortable, always answers any questions I have, and made me feel very safe to leave my babies. Not only did both my dogs come back very well behaved with top training, but they had so much fun there that they didn't want to leave. Of course with training comes homework for my husband and I to keep up with. It does take a lot of work, but Lori left us with the tools that we needed to succeed at home. If we ever had issues, I knew I could reach back out to her to help us regroup. I take them there often for boarding and refreshers, and I wouldn't choose any other place to take them. The best investment we ever made inour dogs was sending them to PawParadise.Lori, the owner, is most gracious and generous, andgoes way beyond the call of duty! We have a 6 year old Shih-Poo (Sky) and an 18 month old Malti-Poo (Blue)!The older one resented the new puppy for the first 6 months and was occasionally aggressive with Blue.Blue would sometimes go in the street and not respond to "Come".Neither dog actually followed commands. Blue would heel only if he got a treat.In addition, they both hated the car and they barked a lot if they heard noises outside or if the door bell rang or a package was left.Fast forward to post 3-weeks of training by Lori.They are now good buds - they sleep next to each other, go to their bed on command, heel, sit and don't bark! Our dog Leo has always been energetic and loves people.  He just didn't know how to show it without jumping all over someone and making anyone new coming into the house a nerve wracking experience. I have small children so he would bolt out of the door or could not be outside alone without whining or barking to come back in unless someone was outside even for a few minutes. Since we put Leo in his intensive training over 6 months ago he still has maintained his skills.  We have seen a huge improvement in his separation anxiety.  He was able to be around my grandmother who is very afraid of dogs and with her Parkinson's is a huge fall risk.  So no jumping could happen. Leo was able to respect boundaries and did not jump on her once and only would come to her to try and say hi gently but I was able to redirect him and by the end of the week she was feeding him food and petting him! We can't thank Paw Paradise enough! We have a wonderful dog who does not need to be crated and can be trusted at home and is so loved we are so thankful! More...

Paw Paradise is great! Lori and her staff did an excellent job training our crazy lab mix puppy. He would jump all over our small children, chew everything up, and generally be crazy. I've been taking my dogs to Paw paradise for several years. I drive 30 min and it's been worth the drive. I never have a problem boarding my dogs. My dogs are always happy and the communication on how my dogs are doing is great. My dogs have been introduced to chickens , ducks and cats. I haven't experienced training. I only board but I notice my dogs come back less needy and they sleep throughout the night vs waking me up to go potty. My dogs are too spoiled at home but at camp they come home less spoiled in a good way. Tired and always happy to go back. They get lots of play time with other dogs which is good since I don't go to the dog parks. I always feel comfortable leaving my dogs at paw paradise. More...

Could not recommend this place more!! Our dog Piper went there for a training boot camp and returned home a perfectly behaved dog! We were all in disbelief! We had a lot of issues- she would jump on kids, nibble, chew everything, bolt out the door, not socialize with/go to attack other dogs, steal food from our table, bark like crazy whenever any one walked by, get crazy hyper if we had a bunch of people over. All of these issues were resolved! She's so much calmer now- but it still super fun/playful. She will "go to bed" and stay there when i ask her to. She will sit, heel, get off, go down on command- even with kids running around her eating all kids of treats. She doesn't run out our door anymore. She can even be off leash in our front yard and ignore dogs/people as they walk by. Incredible!Would highly recommend Paw Paradise and Lori to anyone looking to correct any behavior. Lori and Reuben of Paw Paradise are top notch E-collar trainers.  We sent our 8-month old puppy, Hazel (large mixed breed rescue) for a 1-month E-collar training program with Lori.  We have never tried E-collar training and were a little hesitant, but I am now fully convinced as to its benefits.  Hazel came back perfectly trained and knows her place in our household.  She has a lot more confidence too.  Hazel was a timid, counter surfing, not coming, sweet tornado of a puppy!  Not aggressive, just timid, babied and not trained.  For the long-term happiness of our family we gave this a try and could not be happier.  Hazel listens, comes on command, stays, has much more confidence, does not even go near the counter or food left out anymore...Lori did an amazing job.  Highly recommend their E collar training, puppy daycare and boarding.  So glad we recently found them, we are all much happier and saner"!As for boarding at Paw Paradise, also top notch.  Our older dog is a mixed German Sheppard breed and has separation anxiety.  He would always come home with kennel nose from boarding experiences.  At Paw Paradise, he is mainly kept cage free and he comes home happy, relaxed and with no nose issues for the 1st time in his 10 years boarding history!
