Ms Elizabeth is our reading tutor and she is amazing. The progress I’ve seen in the kids is great! It takes a special person to be able to teach via zoom and be effective. I’d recommend her to anyone who’s looking. She tailors her program specifically for each child! More...

Disappointed with My Tutor Anywhere. The scheduling was a nightmare—constant cancellations and rescheduling made it impossible to get consistent help. When I finally had a session, the tutor seemed distracted and wasn’t engaging at all. I wouldn’t recommend this service to anyone looking for reliable tutoring. More...

Daniel has been amazing with our 7 year old son, who is in 2nd grade and has been struggling with reading basics. Daniel has built a wonderful rapport with our son over 8 months, opening every session with a fun question or zany fact to share, and closing every session with lighthearted challenge like Connect4. In between the fun, it's business time, and Daniel is somehow able to hold our son's attention throughout the 50 minute Zoom session. He is patient yet task focused, and he teaches our son some incredibly helpful rules about the English language that my wife and I would never have known how to verbalize ourselves. We're grateful for his presence in our son's life! More...

I reached out to Daniel after I received testing results from my daughter’s school that demonstrated some serious concerns in regards to her reading at grade level. Daniel agreed to consultation call of sorts and in that short phone call (probably 15, max 30 minutes) Daniel was kind, and encouraging that he could have someone to meet with Emily virtually within the week. We worked with Katy S. from February until today and I can certainly tell a difference in my daughter’s reading ability and also her confidence. I am super thankful to both Daniel and Katy. More...

What do you love most about your job?
I frequently work with readers who struggle to decode and spell basic words.
After previously never wanting to read for pleasure, one of my students, H, just read his first chapter book! It's been amazing to see him read fluently and with confidence and joy! This transformative change is the reason I became a teacher!
What inspired you to start your own business?
I got into education because I wanted to make a difference and positively influence people's lives.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are highly experienced with an exceptional track record. We form great relationships with our students.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
We provide remote services and in-person services in the Chicagoland area.
Orton Gillingham Tutoring
The Orton-Gillingham Approach is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals, such as those with dyslexia. I provide a thorough review after each session and reading material to practice in-between sessions.
