What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
It’s all about timing, emotion, and trust. A great photograph happens when you’re able to capture a genuine moment, a real laugh, a quiet glance, a big hug and making the session fun so this way we can create genuine moments. I believe the best photos come when you’re comfortable and truly enjoying yourself. It’s not just about posing perfectly, it’s about telling your story in a way that feels real and meaningful. My goal is to create a relaxed experience so those authentic, unforgettable moments can naturally unfold.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
I’ll ask about the location, any specific moments or people you want captured, and if there’s a particular style you’re drawn to. It’s also important for me to know if there’s anything that would make you feel more comfortable in front of the camera. Every session is unique, so I love learning a little about you and what matters most that way, I can make sure your photos truly reflect who you are.
What do you love most about your job?
What I love most about my job is that it’s not really a job to me, it’s my passion. I still tear up at weddings, I get excited during sessions, and I genuinely cheer for my clients when I see those special moments unfold. Even when I’m editing, I can’t help but smile, looking over the beautiful moments I've captured. Every session, every wedding, every photo I take still feels like pure joy for me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Photography had always been a passion of mine as long as I can remember but I got my first professional camera in 2012 and did it as a hobby for 10 years. I’d always heard from friends and family that I should turn it into a business, but it wasn’t until a 3 years ago that I finally took the leap. I realized that if I truly loved it this much, why not make it my career? I wanted to share the moments I capture with others in a way that felt meaningful, and I knew it was time to turn my passion into something I could do every day. Starting my own business was a big step, but it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made.
