We have been training dogs for many years. We enjoy not only the training but bonding with our canines. We use a reward based training program, marking the correct behavior and rewarding when doing so. This creates a positive association for doing the command requested.

I was very disappointed with our experience at Hope Dog Care. When we first arrived, we were told there would be a 15-minute behavior assessment for my dog, but it lasted less than 5 minutes and felt rushed. I later scheduled a pack walk and socialization day for my dog. We dropped him off around 8:30 AM and picked him up around 5:00 PM. When my boyfriend went to pick him up, the staff provided minimal feedback, only saying that “he did good.” There was no detailed explanation about how his day went, how many walks he received, or how he interacted with other dogs. The staff mentioned that he was kept in his crate for a bit and that he was circling around in the crate, which is typically a sign that a dog needs to use the restroom. This raised concerns for me. Based on his behavior after pickup, it felt like he may have spent most of the day in the crate rather than being actively engaged. When we got home, he immediately urinated outside for an unusually long time and was extremely thirsty, suggesting he may not have had adequate water or bathroom breaks. He was also very hyper, to the point that we had to take him on another walk just to help him calm down. This does not align with being told that dogs are walked three times per day. Additionally, the training attendant did not provide meaningful details, insight, or communication about my dog’s behavior or care throughout the day. Clear communication is extremely important when entrusting someone with a pet. Due to the lack of transparency, limited engagement, and overall experience, I will not be bringing my dog back to Hope Dog Care. More...

I sent my Goldendoodle, Blitz, to training with Jose and the results have been amazing. Blitz came back more focused, calmer, and way better at listening in real-life situations. Jose didn’t just train the dog — he actually taught me how to keep the training going at home, which made a huge difference. You can tell he truly cares about the dogs he works with. He kept me updated, sent videos, and always explained what Blitz was learning and why. Blitz used to struggle with pulling on walks and ignoring commands when distracted, and now he walks calmly and responds right away. Huge improvement. If you’re looking for someone patient, professional, and highly experienced with dogs, I definitely recommend Jose. More...

Update 10/8/25 - the training was good my mind has not changed but my puppy contracted 2 parasites while being there. Not only did I spend $2k on training, I have to spend more on vet bills and medication for her in hopes she doesn’t die.

We had our 1yr8month maltipoo Obi boarded and trained here. He did the 2 week overnight training and his trainer Kelson was awesome. We enjoyed the daily update videos/pics from him. Obi is a stubborn lovable little guy so we were a bit skeptical but he has retained everything he's learned (consistency is key , we make sure to practice with him at least twice a day). Overall it was a 10 out of 10 experience. We'll definitely be bringing him here in the future if needed. More...

Last year, my wife and I two-week boarded and trained our newly adopted 1 yr old German Shepherd, Maggie. We could not have asked for better care (same trainer every day! ), and we were very impressed with the training results. A few months later, we adopted a foster dog (Pippa, a.k.a. Hope ❤️) that one of their wonderful staff had rescued off the street. To this day, Maggie and Pippa are inseparable- we are definitely clients for life! Thank you endlessly, to your amazing staff for helping bring such bundles of joy to our family. More...

We recently did a two-week overnight board and train for our 4-year-old dog, Bear, and I’m so impressed with the results! Bear is a sweet but stubborn doggy, and Alvin, his trainer, did an amazing job working with him . Just this morning, Bear walked perfectly at heel the entire time — something we struggled with before. We also had a family member visit, and when I gave the “place” command, Bear stayed calmly in position until I released him. He’s always been a great dog, but this training has taken him to the next level. Huge thanks to Alvin and the team! More...

I was very very disappointed. Darcy was very kind. And it is clear she loves animals. However, I sent my dog for a board and train because my dog was having issues beyond just training. My dog could sit and stay. That was not the issue. My dog was aggressive On leash with other dogs and sometimes people, would bark or be aggressive to people that was near my car if she was in it, aggressive my other dog and actually have a Jekyll and Hyde moment and literally attack my other dog for no reason, was food aggressive, she was over protective with me to the point where she would even snarl and lunge at my daughter if she got close. My dog has Terrible anxiety, territorial issues and needed behavioral training and to treat severe reactivity. I told her my goals was to be able to take my dog with me places because I could not as she was. Darcy told me that she would handle this and that while maybe not everything would be solved that surely the training would help and then she would work with me afterwards so I can continue to reinforce behavior. After taking my couple of thousands of dollars, and promising change… nothing changed. While the dog did well with the trainer nothing changed at home. As for at home training I got 1-2 hrs with the trainer AND THAT WAS IT! I reached out and told her how disappointed I was and that I should get a refund. I invested in her word and nothing changed. I have the same issues. She told me she would provide more Ongoing training with me and call me back. Tick tok tick tok. She kept the money, did not fix one behavioral or anxiety issue with my dog and never called me for more training to help Me With my dog. My life with this dog is EXACTLY as it was except that have over $2000 less in my checking account. I valued her word and her expertise and it was blown away in the wind along with the money that I counted on helping me due to the training. I am upset, disappointed and feel betrayed by the love I have for this dog and just wanting her trained so the dog could live a Less anxious and more fulfilled life. Sadly I DO NOT recommend this training for more anxious and aggressive behavioral issues. If that is what you looking for IT IS NOT THIS. More...

We enrolled our Great Dane, Moon, in a three-week training program with trainer Jamie at Hope Dog Training, and the results have exceeded our expectations. From the outset, Jamie provided exceptional service. Throughout the entire program, we received daily updates, videos and pictures, which reassured us of Moon's progress and well-being These updates were not just informative but also heartwarming, showing Jamie's dedication to both the dogs and their owners. Moon has returned home remarkably well-behaved and trained. Jamie's expertise and patient approach have clearly made a significant impact on Moon's behavior. She now follows commands reliably and interacts positively with both humans and other dogs. We are immensely grateful to Jamie and the team at Hope Dog Training for their professionalism and commitment to providing top-notch training services. Moon's transformation is a testament to their skill and care. We highly recommend Hope Dog Training to anyone looking to improve their dog's behavior and obedience. More...

We did the 15-day day training with Alvin. Our boy Maximus is a rescue GSD who shows some fear and anxiety. Alvin and the entire staff were very patient and loving with him during his stay. They all eased my own anxiety of having him away from home. I could not have been happier with the results of his training. Max learned all the basic commands along with heel, which is fantastic. We are able to build on the obedience that Alvin trained Max on each and every day. Everyone at H.O.P.E. are very knowledgeable and compassionate animal lovers that we can entrust our pets to any day of the week. For that reason, I bring Max back just so he can have his play dates with Alvin, Hailey, Courtney, the rest of staff and other pets in house. I researched so many training facilities prior. H.O.P.E. They were the only one that did not immediately recommend e-collar correction for my Max. While it may be needed at a later date, it wasn’t the first tool offered which told me they are about real behavior training. If you know, you know! At the intake, the entire staff immediately made us feel welcomed and at home and poured love over Max ❤️ They answered all of our questions patiently and provided us tools to use at home while waiting for our date. Being able to entrust our pets to a place where they are safe and loved while learning is priceless to me. They are a 10 out of 10 stars in my opinion. More...

Wow, knowledgeable people and great facilities. Prices are competitive but it is NOT doggy daycare so don't expect to pay $20 for a day of play. These guys get a lot done and your dog will be better for it, so be ready to have a bigger bill. A trained, obedient dog is better for the whole family and the dog so it is totally worth it. More...

We couldn’t be happier with the 3 week program we put our mini doxie in. Emily was amazing with him and by the time he left, he was a happier, more confident guy. Our chief complaint was his barking at everything, even at us at home. Emily explained that he lacked confidence. Since bringing him home, his barking has improved about 90%. He’s doing much better in public and not barking at strangers too! At the end of his training she spent about an hour and a half with us and showed all 4 of our family members how to do the commands she taught him. She gave us each the opportunity to try in front of her to be sure we all had the tools to keep his training up at home. We are very happy with the outcome and would recommend HOPE to anyone needing help with their pup. Their facility was very clean and the staff were all friendly to humans and pups. More...

I called this dog training facility and asked what their training philosophy was and what kind of tools they use for training and they use prong collars and E collars. Basically they inflict pain on the dogs in order to training them producing fear. They were also very vague in their explanation on their philosophy and the girl had to keep putting me on hold in order to answer my questions. Then when I asked about certification, she put me back on hold and a new person got on the phone and said, how can I help you. So I had to start all over. Brittney (I think her name was, not sure) said, "They do have certifications, I can't see them from here because they are on the wall, but. you can come down here and look at the wall, or you can ask a trainer during the evaluation." So basically I have to pay first or drive down to Norco and look on their wall because they don't know off hand, or can't go look at the wall to tell potential clients what certifications their trainers have. All of this is a big red flag. People need to ask these questions because there are a lot of people who say they are trainer, but are not. They sounded good on their website at first. More...

I brought my dog here for the 3 week board & train program who was having some severe behavioral issues. Prior to training I was very uneducated on all the different tools that can be used. My trainer was amazing and taught me all the right things about each tool and gave me a clear understanding of each one. You hear a lot of back lash on training tools but in reality it’s the improper use that creates issues. My boy came back a completely different dog in all the positive ways. Giving me the correct methods and management for afterwards has made all the difference. He’s amazing now I couldn’t thank HOPE enough! Plus the pictures of my boy while I was gone really helped ease my mind and I use those videos for reference! I’d give 10000 stars if I could ! More...

My husband and I sent our Belgian Mal. to the 3 week in-house training program at HOPE Dog Training. We recieved pictures and videos throughout the training showing his progress. He was able to play and interact with other dogs. Our pupp went from selectively listening to sit and stay commands, to positive obedience. He is obedient on walks and needs very little redirection. We were so happy with the outcome and referred our close family members, who came all the way from Orange County. Thank you HOPE Dog Training!!!!! More...
