I found DJ Sammy on the website Bark and decided to take a chance since my usual DJ wasn’t available, and I’m so glad I did! From the start, I was impressed with his professionalism and work ethic. He arrived a couple of hours early to set up and was completely ready to go by the time the party started. We hired him for a Halloween party, and he absolutely nailed it! He had our friends and family dancing all night long. He really knew how to read the crowd and play the right mix to keep the energy going. On top of that, he brought an awesome uplighting setup that totally elevated the atmosphere- it was such a great surprise and made the whole party feel even more special. DJ Sammy is absolutely a professional start to finish. From the details provided on his website re: booking, to his prompt and his responsive communication leading up to and day-of event, to simply delivering and exceeding expectations — hiring DJ Sammy for my mom’s 70th birthday celebration was incredibly clutch. Not only is his rate competitive (tip: book him early— he fills up fast!), it is evident that he’s so attuned with you as the coordinator/planner and your needs, and also with the crowd as he’s spinning music. It’s clear he’s been doing this for years as his experience speaks volumes, and I can’t say enough how much I appreciate Sammy for making it easy for me to carry out this event/celebration program (i.e, with the mics, playing music, sustaining the vibes), and also remaining nimble to pivot as needed and helping me go with the flow throughout the evening. He provided a couple key recommendations and insights which worked so favorably during the event! Our guests simply wanted to dance — it was that type of crowd which mainly consisted of my folks’ friends who love to dance (partner, line dancing, all of that) — and DJ Sammy did not disappoint with the type of music he played!
