I was highly impressed with Caleb and Martin, Tilly’s trainers, as well as Kathy who mans the main office. Their professionalism and knowledge of my rescue fur baby was amazing. Tilly had never ridden in a car without being kenneled. An hour later, sitting in the front seat without negative behavior proved they definitely made a positive impact on her. I can’t say enough about the professionalism of Diamond State K9! It’s evident the trainers are earnest about getting to know the dogs individually. The graduation day was full of information to help equip us for continuing the training this fantastic team initiated. We have a German Shepard we had rescued from the side of the road just prior to the start of the class. I have a highly energetic 1.5 yr old Doberman that had behavioral issues and absolutely zero impulse control which made taking him out on walks or anywhere at all impossible without loads of stress- despite my best efforts towards teaching him. I sent him to the three week training program, and I am absolutely amazed. He’s a completely different dog from when I dropped him off. Kaleb and the DSK9 staff are absolutely amazing, and I cannot thank them enough! Kaleb did such a great job breaking everything down and teaching me how to work with him going forward. There have been so many positive changes in my relationship with my dog since she attended the board and train program. I can spend more time with her and walk her without getting pulled in every direction. I think the most important part was the last day while Kaleb trained me. This is a great program and the you can tell they love the dogs. I have also used their boarding service and that was wonderful. I got to take a few days and not worry even one minute about my girl. I brought my 2 year old Golden Retriever and SPECIFICALLY asked if a shocker was used. Corey said yes and I TOLD him I didn't want it used because my dog had had a head injury. I pick Cooper up he does 3 things more than he knew and now you have to be cautious how you play with him swing your hands wrong and he flinches. We had never hit him in the face. I highly recommend Diamond State K9. We brought our dogs, Woody and Max, to board and train for 3 weeks. First, they make sure your babies get acclimated to this new environment. This was so important to me, as I knew my dogs could get overstimulated in new environments. Kaleb and Corey are not only very good dog trainers, but very good at making sure YOU know how to continue training your dog. We learned so much about our dogs, as well as what to do with our dogs. When we got home, we had two completely different dogs than when we dropped them off. If I could give one take away from this training, it would be to ADVOCATE for your dog. Also, if you want your dog to behave a certain way, you have to put that work in. Highly recommend letting Caleb and Corey train your dogs for a few weeks, they did a great job on my dog Max who in just 3 weeks went from a disobedient dog that pulled to being able to loose leash and off leash walk. This is second time we took our dog to be groomed. He is only 1.5 yrs old so hasn’t needed “monthly” hair cuts. The first time the cut his tail which bleed for a week, didn’t have courtesy to even tell us. He now has a scar from this. This time they cut his ear, which is still raw and bleeding. The hair in his face looks horrible and is not even cut evenly. The young girls doing grooming need more training. More...
