I took my 7 month old puppy for training. He was very fearful of people, other dogs, and loud noises. We took private lessons to start with and he has done a complete 180. He is a totally different dog and I can’t thank Kim enough. Her group classes are very involved and I really felt she cared about my dogs well-being. I have been to several “chain” dog training places and they are NOTHING compared to Kim. She is so knowledgeable on dogs body language, breed, and behavior. I will only be bringing my dogs to day hill for training. My dogs have also been to daycare & boarding here. They love to go & burn energy in her 4 play yards! They come home exhausted and happy! Day Hill has been a God send for us. We used a very well known "chain" for our doberman puppy. I wish we would have found Day Hill sooner ? we would have saved alot of time AND money). We are out in Beaverton, but Day Hill is 1000% worth the drive. Our pup has so much more confidence and SOLID foundation. And we have better tools and knowledge to keep her training up. Kim is absolutely FABULOUS!! My dog, Walter is in the process of the six week board and train program. We are in the fifth week and I’m absolutely astounded by how well behaved my dog is! My son is Autistic and Walter is being trained to be my son’s certified Service Animal. Walter is going to be an integral role of my son’s safety as he grows older. Kim never returned to my home after her initial 45 minute visit. Claimed to be under the weather on our next meeting day. Week 3 and 4 never heard from her. Very disappointing!!

I selected Day Hill Dog Training because they offered a full range of services - from group to private to board and train. I didn't know where in the spectrum we would fall, so I wanted all options to be open to us. Odie had spent day-in-and-day-out alone in a city backyard for his first 9 months and had no prior training or socialization. He appeared to be super friendly towards strangers and other dogs, so one week after we got Odie, we attended a group class. Unfortunately, because Odie did not know his name and could not focus (even with treats), it was quite obvious to all of us that this was not going to work! Luckily, we were able to step right into private lessons and within two visits with Kimberlee, we went from wondering if we could sanely continue with our effort to "save" Odie to wanting to do whatever was needed for this overly sweet, happy and smart border collie/rat terrier mix. Kim was able to assess our wild new boy, recommend the appropriate training collar and lesson plan, and began teaching us how to give Odie the discipline he needed to bring out the best in him. What inspired you to start your own business?
I have been training for over 20 years and decided it was time to start my own training facility here in Estacada.
Why should our clients choose you?
We are qualified, certified and accredited dog traininers. We offer a wide variety of training services for your dog. Group Classes, Private Lessons, Private Classes, Therapy Dog Preparation work, loose leash walking and whistle recall.
We also offer Overnight short or long-term Boarding and Doggie Daycare.
We are a Fear Free Certified Boarding Facility and are CPR and First Aid Certified.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
We do not offer online training at this time. However, we will make accommodations to folks that need our training help but cannot physically get to us.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
We clean and sanitize regularly and have a hand washing station. Masks are optional, do not come to class if you or your dog is feeling ill. Safety of our clients and our fogs are priority.
Board and Train
We have 4 different Board and Train options available depending on your dogs training needs.
Our unique approach to board and train programs gives you all the benefits of traditional board and train programs, without keeping you away from your dog the whole time!
Private Lessons
Private Training appointments are available for owners who want to work one-on-one with an instructor. They cover many aspects of training from the basics to the advanced to help owners and their dogs have a good working relationship.
Basic Obedience Group Class
Basic Obedience is the foundation for all training. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of positive-based training and formalize your dog's response to the 5 core commands - Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Heel in a group setting with distractions.
Long or Short Term Dog Boarding
We offer a safe clean place for your pooch while you are away. We offer a variety of boarding options to help keep your dog feeling safe and happy! We are Fear Free Certified as well as CPR and First Aid Certified. Message us for a tour!
Certified Therapy Dog Training
We work one on one with you and your dog in a group and/or private setting. We prepare your dog to get ready to become the Therapy dog you’ve been hoping for. We go on feildtrips to nursing homes, hospitals and other locations.
Puppy Training
In our puppy training classes we teach social skills, good manners, and a positive attitude about learning while keeping it fun and positive. We have a puppy agility course for confidence building.
Spa/baths/grooming
What is better then picking up a happy dog from boarding or daycare? Picking up a clean and happy dog!
We are happy to offer bathing & blow drying, nail trims and ear cleaning services that will leave your pup looking and smelling their best!!
Rather then trying to squeeze in bathing them yourself let us do it for you!
Doggie Daycare
Drop your dog/puppy off in the morning and pick up your dog in the afternoon. Drop off time is as early as 6am and pick up is 6pm for a full day. Half days are up to four hours. Exact times are scheduled individually, and please plan to spend a few minutes with us to discuss what behaviors you would like us to work on if you choose the training option. At pickup, we’ll go over the training exercises we worked on with your dog as well as give you follow up.
Behavioral Modification
Stopping unwanted behaviors this program is for Aggressive, Fearful, Anxious dogs.
We focus on developing impulse control, correcting leash reactivity,Barking inside the house, help dogs that are fearful of strangers.

Agility For Fun
Fun for all ages! Agility is a fun and exciting way to challenge your dog, both mentally and physically. Our agility classes are designed to help your dog, build confidence, improve their coordination, and learn new skills.
