I have never had a better meal or enjoyed working with anyone so much as Rico & Jeanette Poveda of Customized Catering. I had seen and tasted some Rico's menus when I worked in the South Bay and loved it. The breakfast buffets were amazing! Everything fresh and hot and delicious. I stumbled across his business card a few months ago and he's been catering lunches and special events for my company ever since. We just had our wedding this Saturday 10.10.15! Rico and his staff did an amazing job! It was an outdoor venue with no kitchen or anything and they made it happen! Food was wonderful, service was excellent and I immediately had guests complimenting us on the food! Rico was also very easy to work with! He was competent and put us at ease that he would handle any hiccups that may come up on our big day! So glad we made the right choice on food!!! Hello my name is Rosemary Contreras I used customize catering for my event for a 25 year anniversary party. Rico is amazing he provided a customize menu for my event that was absolutely delicious! I just wanted to give him the biggest thank you for being a superior chef. He catered to all my needs, request. Rico is so delightful to work with his wife is wonderful his staff is top notch he is an amazing caterer. Rico and his staff are truly excellent! Rico worked with me with the food choices for my wedding. He made sure I picked everything that I wanted. His chicken picatta is absolutely delicious! His wife and staff were all so nice! I received many compliments about the food at my wedding. Rico worked with my budget as well and was very kind and understanding. i rarely write reviews but with customized catering i was floored! they were so amazingly generous ! rico the owner made things so easy for us ! he would also customized a menu that would fit our budget wihout any judgement! food was amazeballs!!! and it created an xtra flare to our special day! they were not cheap on the amount of food and everyone was praising how good the food was ( i like the rice esp, some even asked for togos as it was so fantastic) rico was nice to also take into consideration the food quality as well as how to serve it and all! he made returning and delivery easy for us! it was amazing ! I can't write enough how amazing Customized Catering was.  I met with Rico, the owner, and right away I could tell he was not only passionate about food, but about building the catering experience WITH you! !  I was planning a wedding and if you've ever done that you know how vital it is to have reliable and top-quality vendors.Let me make this absolutely clear - people WILL remember the food at your wedding, good or bad (I'm sorry to add this extra stress if you're planning it yourself, but it's true).  And frankly, you know what I'm talking about if you've ever been to a wedding.  You're family and friends are bringing gifts, taking time off work, dressing up - FEED THEM RIGHT!  So he gave me his recommendations and and listened to my preferences.  The result was AMAZING!  The taste-testing just added to my confidence that I found the right guy for the job.Rico gave me something that I didn't realize I needed - reassurance.  Reassurance that the food would be taken care of.  "Taken care of"... the most beautiful thing I had heard in a long time throughout my wedding planning stretch.To sum it up,  if someday I ever move to a mountain top and become a wise sage whom hikers and travelers venture to for guidance, this will be my only advice - "Seek out Rico with Customized Catering, and make sure to add the creamy rice to your menu. From the moment I first spoke with Rico over the phone, he was friendly, flexible and enthusiastic about food. His menu really sold us because he served a variety of food. We had chicken marsala, seafood paella, pesto linguini, and roast angus beef. And since it was buffet style people could have one or all the above, yum. We received so many compliments on the food!! My mom was particular about the food and insisted on having excellent food at our wedding, and she was VERY pleased with it. Rico made sure that the food and catering was not going to be stressful for my husband and I. We in fact did not worry about the food or catering. I would like to thank Rico Poveda @ Customized Catering for making my parent’s 50th anniversary an unforgettable event. Rico and his staff not only provided us with an excellent service, but a delicious dinner. It was clear that the food was absolutely spectacular in every way possible. Customized Catering staff performed at a highly professional level, I would recommend to friends, family, and anyone who needs catering. Linens, tables, silverware, glassware, buffet tables, and additional help that we need it on the anniversary celebration were supplied by Rico and his staff. We were pressed on time with setting up and his staff to control and was completed with time to spare and help with the clean up when the party ended. I could not have wished for better. Customized Catering, an amazing business that not only served food at my parents vow renual but also turned a romantic night into an unforgettable oasis of tranquility. Customized Catering did our summer BBQ, an afternoon fun celebration with our staff of about 80 people. At the last minute we had an additional 25 guests and realized that we might have a problem.
