We sent our 1 year old golden retriever Skye to CCS for the board and train program to work on some behavioral issues - the most prominent ones being resource guarding, leash reactivity, and lack of confidence. The trainers welcomed our dog with open arms and made her feel safe and loved throughout her time with them. This was evident in the many updates/photos they sent to us throughout the program, and in her body language during our 1:1 lesson with them following her stay. Since Skye has been home, she is less fearful and reactive. Her confidence has been really shining. We have not noticed any resource guarding (which was previously a daily occurrence). She also walks on the leash in a full heel and no longer protests leaving the neighborhood. Lastly, she sits patiently and comfortably in her “place”, which has helped mitigate a lot of attention seeking behaviors she had before at home. We could not be more thrilled with the results. The CCS trainers are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and it is evident that they truly love and are dedicated to the work they do. They are so easy to work with and really took the time to work with us and Skye following the board and train to give us the tools/resources we needed for her to have continued success. Going with CCS was a great decision! Their Day Camp program was great for my puppy. She was sitting by the door wagging her tail every morning waiting for them to pick her up. Minnie learned so much and even made some friends along the way! At the end we went over all that she learned and we were so impressed with how they worked with her. I feel like we learned even more than she did. Will absolutely be signing up for another program when she is older, this was awesome! More...

Enrolled in the 2 week program and 2 weeks was not enough. They were suppose reach back for more training and never heard back. When ask for commands they refuse to give me any. More...

Hi Edgar! We reached out to you directly to address the concerns in your review, but wanted to clarify on a few things here as well. You opted to sign up for a two week program with your Dutch Shepherd puppy. We spoke several times prior to starting your program and throughout your program your dog would potentially need more time for the results you were looking for as two weeks is the shortest program we offer. We will always train in a way that is best for the dog, not for fast results. Unfortunately, as a high drive Dutch Shepherd puppy who was biting, your dog simply needed more time in order to accomplish the goals you had in mind for her. We offered you a program extension at no charge, this was declined because you missed having her at home and opted to continue with a lesser program option instead. We scheduled her pick-up time, making it clear that we can completely understand missing her - but this was not beneficial to her progress and was against training advice. Despite you being out of our daily travel range, we planned to accommodate a custom program (still at no charge) as a compromise in the best interest of your dog’s continued training. You were unable to continue immediately following your program due to going on vacation. We reached out once you returned back from vacation on 11/21 to set up when to continue. We were told it sounded great, but didn't hear from you after that to confirm on dates/times. With all the holidays following, we attested this to things getting busy for all. We are still more than happy to set up times for your dog to get back into training, this review is the first we’ve heard from you since then. We did not give you formal commands to use. Put simply, she was not ready to perform them as she would've been with the continued work. At this point in her training, she was still working on food luring. Commands are very easily washed away without proper application and reinforcement, especially in a young puppy. This was discussed with you both in-person at pick-up and over the phone that evening. From all of her hikes to her training sessions, we put a lot of time and work into your dog over the duration you signed up for. We certainly did not mean to make you feel abandoned in any way shape or form. We sincerely apologize for any oversight you see on our part and for making you feel as if you had such a negative experience - that is never our goal. I love this company! They have come to our house and helped us train our 1 year old frenchie! They are fantastic and our dog has turned from a toddler in his terrible years to a great, respectful pup! 100% would recommend them!

They truly know their stuff and made a huge difference in my dogs behavior in only a few weeks of training! My dog is a pro on-leash now. I have used a few trainers before, but I never felt like I was taught how to use the training. CCS went above and beyond with their teaching and lesson plans to ensure I felt confident handling him. Just finished our 5 Pack of sessions with CCS and I am so pleased with the whole experience. I learned so much, my trainer traveled to me and each session was focused on exactly what we needed to work on. I saw progression every single week! Luna was a good dog to begin with, but I just wanted her to listen better and work on her jumping all over guests. I feel like I have a whole new understanding of my dog. CCS helped my reactive giant breed dog (Mastiff) become the best trained dog in my neighborhood. I used to have to cross the street every time a dog approached us, but now we can walk by and I don’t even have to think twice. Bolton came home happier, less stressed and so obedient. Jay was an awesome trainer and I could tell how much Bolton loved him. I learned so much in our first 1:1 lesson and could immediately tell that Bolton actually understood the commands. The CCS crew took amazing care of our 4 year old Boxer and made him into such a happy and obedient dog! The training was beyond thorough and personalized for exactly what we were looking for. 10/10. My dogs are so well behaved!! Both of the CCS trainers I met were phenomenal. They were both so knowledgeable and I could tell they truly cared about my dogs. I opted for the three week board and train program and couldn’t be happier. My dogs went on hikes, field trips and gained so much confidence throughout training. Jay guided me through the whole process and I feel like I learned just as much as my dogs did!! Plus they sent so many adorable photos, I felt so comfortable having them in a home environment. My older dog was reactive and had issues with resource guarding, now I can take him anywhere and not feel stressed. My puppy learned all the basics and came home fully potty trained too! In-Home Private 1:1 Lessons
Our goal at CCS is not only to train your dog but to educate you through the process. This allows you to understand and work through the training process with your dog.
Our lessons take place on your dog’s home turf in order to ensure your dog is learning to perform where it’s most important. We will also accompany you on public field trips. Our five-pack lesson course is designed around your dog’s unique temperament and behavioral issues to ensure we work on what you need!
Day Camp
Our Camp program provides you with all the benefits of a Board and Train, but without having to leave your dog overnight. Camp is a 10 day, M-F program! We would come pick-up your dog in the morning and drop-off in the evening after a full day of training, hiking and structured socialization with other campers. We provide weekend homework for our Campers to work on with their families at home. The Camp Package includes a 1:1 lesson with us on your dog’s last Camp day in addition to a free refresher session to take place when you need it!
In-Home Board and Train
We offer in-home B&T programs to help your dog learn in a comfortable, calm environment! Learning in a home both minimizes the stress of being away from home and helps your dog to learn in a realistic environment that will make his or her transition back home much smoother! We set you up with a solid, clear foundation to help you and your dog learn and connect together with a new understanding of how to work and communicate together! It is just as important to educate you as it is to educate the dog. We want to see you both walk out confident and ready to tackle any scenario together. We offer several options for this program depending on your goals! From basic/advanced obedience to competition obedience and behavior modification, we can do it all!
Group Classes
For dogs who have completed a course with us, we offer group classes to get our clients working together towards reaching their goals! Group classes help you find a network of other dog owners working on obedience. Our group classes are structured to help benefit each dog individually, no matter what they’re working on. A group class allow us to create a structured environment to help your dog work through distractions
