The first time I went there this past Saturday afternoon. Mark was very attentive to our dining needs. I had the pulled pork BBQ sandwich with fries. This place is closing 11/3019 so check it out now!I ordered the rack of ribs which is a special in Mondays.The ribs were excellent! Juicy, tender and flavorful. Two sides and a piece of cornbread come with the special. I had the mashed potatoes and asparagus. The mashed potatoes were okay, they could've used more seasoning. Cozy family owned restaurant. We started with their Fabulous Bloody Mary's. Enjoyed the tender Brisket Bites for an appetizer. Stopped in here for lunch and let me tell you I'm glad I did. The restaurant was cleaned and inviting when you walked in. I was immediately acknowledged by the staff and asked where I'd like to sit . I ordered the bbq pork sandwich and it came out within a few mins. The sandwich was piled high and I was given a generous helping of the potato salad I had ordered as a side. The bbq was outstanding. It was smoked perfectly and wasn't overly porky. The bun was fresh and delicious as well. The potato salad was just as good. This is my new bbq spot and I'm so glad I finally decided to try it. Ok...so this review is long over due, but I could not live with myself if I didn't post one! First, let me start off by saying my hubby and I were blown away by the hospitality. Everyone was so friendly and worked with us to ensure our experience was bar none. We were in town visiting relatives in July, and needed to find a restaurant that could accommodate a large party. I found Smoke Pitt on Yelp and decided to give them a call based on the reviews and mouth watering pictures. We were able to come in and check out the menu, and place the order ahead so it would be ready once our party arrived. They even let us sample a few dishes so we could decided what to order.Once we arrived, our tables were ready, and everything was brought out family style! The owner and his family greeted us and thanked us for our business, as well as made sure we were satisfied and had plenty to eat! Service was awesome! We checked this place out after reading all the great yelp reviews. 4 and a half stars on average and 10 minutes from our hotel, it fit the bill. Yelp had an offer for free hush puppies with a yelp check in. Done and doneThe reviews of the hush puppies with the cinnamon butter were plenty and they did deliver. With the waitress recommendation we also ordered the burnt end app. Those were delish. We ordered the sloppy pig sandwich with cole slaw. The brisket sandwich with collard greens and the Smokey Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious!!! The Smokey flavor came thru and the meat was melt in your mouth. The cole slaw was the right amount of creamy. The collard greens were perfectly salty with the burnt ends. The different shaped pastas in the Mac and cheese was fun for my daughter. Portions were a nice size. We all left super full. They seem to have different specials every night and a nice happy hour. Easy parking and you can smell the bbq as soon as you step out of the car. The pull pork is delicious and there was a great selection of sauces. We had the hush puppies for an appetizer and those were so good with or without the honey butter. The sauteed corn was not my favorite and had a weird taste but others in my party seemed to like it. The fries were seasoned to perfection and the sweet tea was the best I've tasted. Very good barbecue. Both my husband and I had pulled pork platters. Between us, we tried all the sauces available and liked them all. We both had their tasty special baked beans, a must try. My husband, as ALWAYS, ordered the collards and they were excellent (not everyone gets how to cook collards, but they nailed it.) I got the sautéed corn, which was good but ordinary. The cornbread was wonderful...moist, sweet, I ate it all which is amazing since I don't like cornbread! The desserts seemed a bit pricey, so we didn't partake this visit. The service was great. We walked in 25 minutes before closing and were given friendly service and not rushed at all. We'll definitely go there Update: We recently stopped by with our adult kids and had an awesome dinner. Many smoked meats and a variety of house-made sauces. Love that you can smell the aroma of the smoker out back. Good beer list. Live music on Fri and Sat evenings. Covered/shaded outdoor patio. I was amazed at how clean this place is. You could pass a white glove over any surface and not even know it. And their recipes are so creative and unique and unbelievably delicious! ! This is not your average strip mall restaurant, by any stretch. We sat on the patio toward the back and discovered that just behind the back wall is the actual smoke pit, where all the magic happens. Catering with Smoke Pit Grill is so much more than great bar-b-que! A wide array of appetizers are offered that will give a great start to your event. We also have endless meat choices, smoked or not such as authentic Bar-B-Que, Prime Rib, Chicken Leg Quarters, Andouille Sausage, and St Louis style Ribs to name a few. Top off the meal with savory side dishes such as seasoned green beans, garlic mashed potatoes, baked beans, and corn bread. How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
Every event is tailored to the occasion. Smoke Pit Grill believes in the Basics - Who, What, When, Where, and How. After gathering information about your event, we'll provide a price quote with explanations and other possible options. Lori will work closely with you to make sure every detail is taken care of and most importantly that there are no surprises on the day of your event.
