Love places like this: casual, no frills, good seafood. Had crab stuffed shrimp that was very good. My husband had fried shrimp and calamari. The calamari was fried a bit too long but still good and he liked the fried shrimp. We also tried the fried banana peppers that were good. All in all this was a place we will come to often. I think we will stick to broiled instead of fried.....just our taste. Everything was very good. (BTW, our server Kym was fantastic!!) More...

Perfect seafood feast after a full day at the beach. We had been meaning to make it over to Seafood Kitchen for some time now because we heard good things. We finally made it and the food definitely lived up to the hype. I went with a combo meal with crab stuffed flounder and clam strips. The stuffed flounder was a huge piece and it was overflowing with crab stuffing. I couldn't finish it but it was a tasty lunch the next day. The clam strips were massive unlike most you order. These were tender and crunchy and not just a bunch of breading like many others. And I order a side of collard greens which I have to say are some of the best I have had. They had a good amount of bacon, slight crunch and a hit of spice. We will definitely be back for more. Those clam strips and collard greens hooked me! More...

Yummy yummy yummy!  Huge portions!  The price is consistent with similar restaurants but wow!  We had so much food it was crazy. The fried shrimp and oysters were fresh, lightly battered and perfectly fried. The oysters were absolutely enormous!  A companion had the blackened grouper and I had major entree envy.  It was delicious. It was surprisingly crowded for after 9pm but I guess that speaks to the popularity of the place. It was noisy but the food made up for it. More...

I had the mahi mahi sandwich with greens and coleslaw. The greens were amazing. The slaw was really good! The sandwich was so so. Bread wasn't very easy to bite into; not stale exactly but hard. The fish itself was pretty good. Also tried the low cubby crab boil and it was okay too. Not a lot of flavor but lots of food to eat! More...

This is a little local hole in the wall but clearly very popular.  Nothing fancy, lots of plastic and styrofoam.  We waited for over a hour to get a table BUT the food was well worth it.  The clam chowder was very good.  We had the fresh fish of the day which was Mahi.  It was fabulous blackened and hubby had his with stuffed crab and it was amazing.  Portions were huge so great value for the money.  Staff and service was great.  Definitely worth giving it a try. For starters had the delightful Debbie be our server and could not have had a better server. She has a smile throughout the service.  The shrimp and oysters were succulent and cooked to perfection. The come from Louisiana (I had to ask cause they were the best I've had recently). The combo was plentiful. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Sweet potato was burnt on one portion but it was so huge it didn't matter.  The other aspect was a server with blond hair with lion tattoo was so loud I couldn't hear the person at my table.   The other plus side is they have a new enterprise starting as an oyster bar.  Maybe I can get grilled oysters in town. Have been going here for years. Had early dinner there on Tuesday and found they have a redesigned menu which confused me a bit but I found my way and ordered my usual the Seafood Combination. Shrimp, scallops, oysters, fish and a deviled crab. You can get it fried or broiled. You can probably get it steamed too. They have the usual sides and their homemade cole slaw. Fresh catches are available and the place is pretty busy at times. Service is great and most of the servers have been there a while. I love the place. More...

This place is apparently a local treasure. My husband, who is from Jax, and his family rave about it! It's super casual, the staff is great, cheerful and cooperative. My son, who is in the Navy and stationed at Mayport, had fried shrimp and fish and inhaled it. My husband had fried shrimp and oysters. Both really liked their dinners. I had fried shrimp. It was good, but not great. The shrimp was a little overcooked, but I liked the crispness of the batter. The portions, however, are very generous. I'd return here, but would have my food grilled rather than deep fried. More...

Okay folks here is the update. I was invited back by the owner to order the lobster dinner which I did. He asked me not to reveal that I had any problems before, to prevent me from getting any special treatment. I checked to make sure there was Lobster in the house. My meal came and my guests meal came. Everything was up to par. There were supposed to be gift cards left with the cashier that were not there, but after a phone call or two that got straightened out and my meal was comped, as promised. The meal was good, the service was excellent and the gesture was greatly appreciated. Thank you Nathan! More...

We get into town get settled in our wonderful Spot on Cresent Beach. Decide we are hungry and set out. I google seafood restaurants near me. This pops up! We head there and it is exactly what we were in the mood for. A laid back low key place not all hyped up and glossy. It is where the locals go and it is now where we go! This is a great find for great service, fresh tasty food and at affordable prices! Who knew!? We do now! It is not the neon flash in the pan all glamour all hip kind of place. Seafood Kitchen is a Neptune Beach gem . What people want and what I want is seafood " fresh from the ocean to the table." 60 cent oysters on the half shell are served Monday thru Thursday all day long. You would have to shuck them for that price at other places. 1/2 dozen or dozen would be a great starter. You can get them raw or steamed. Whatever you like. The owner is a local fisherman. So he knows what we love. The seafood platter can feed two if you love to share. They will even cook it however you like. Fried, grilled, broiled, or steamed. This place is the truth!!! Nothing fancy here except great food, friendly service, and huge portions! The $20 fried seafood platter is spectacular! Today we started with fresh gumbo which was loaded with shrimp, scallops, and sausage and fresh vegetables and added an order of conch fritters. All were delicious! Then three of us split the platter and still had some to take home! The platter had a deviled crab, 2 giant pieces of fish, 12 shrimp, scallops, and some oysters. With fries too! 24 February 2018

My husband had been craving seafood all day, so we had browsed around on Yelp to find nearby seafood places with decent prices. This was the first one that popped up, and all of the reviews/photos/prices looked great, so we gave it a shot! Keep in mind, this was a Saturday night when we went out to eat around 8pm, and this restaurant was PACKED! So that's expected. The restaurant itself is very small anyways. We waited for about an hour to get a table. They had forgotten about us waiting outside to be seated. It irked me a little bit, but I brushed it off because I knew the food would be good. Once we were able to get a table, the waitresses were extremely polite and attentive. They immediately took our orders and brought our drinks/appetizers. We had the shrimp cocktail. Quick tip... It only comes with about 6-7 pieces of shrimp, but it's pretty good! The cocktail sauce is just mouthwatering. My husband and I both ordered flounder & fried mayport shrimp, and we ordered our son a grilled cheese kids basket. With meals, you get one hot side and one cold side, and hush puppies. Our food was brought out lightening fast, and it was really fresh. Hush puppies are not usually something I like to eat, but after trying them here tonight, I think I may have changed my mind on that! They were very crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The fish seemed like it would just melt in your mouth! We finished off with some Key Lime Pie, and that REALLY set the 4 stars on this restaurant. That pie was amazing, and is a MUST for anyone considering ordering a dessert. But the reason why I say 4 stars is because, every place has their good features and their bad features. The two main things that were minor inconveniences to us tonight were the wait time (and the fact that they forgot about us waiting.) AND they seemed to be out of everything that we ordered. They were out of a couple different side items, so we had to order something different that we didn't enjoy as much. They're trying though. That was a large crowd of people we saw tonight. So definitely don't go here on a weekend night if you don't have patience, (as for most sit in restaurants!) Price wise, we found this restaurant a bit cheaper compared to other seafood restaurants in the area.  It was still over $60 for two adults and one child to eat, but I don't regret it because the food was pretty good! We will be visiting again, whether it's to eat seafood, or to just grab another slice of that outstanding pie! More...

I used to dine here twenty five years ago on a regular basis, at least once a week, back when I wanted quality and quantity for under ten bucks.  Went tonight with my wife on a last minute whim because we were in the area and I had heard they recently remodeled.   I am happy with the decision. We arrived at five-thirty and I was expecting to see a few grey hairs keeping to their early bird schedule.   The place was full.   We grabbed one of two available tables.   I started with a dozen raw, only sixty-cent each!  They were fresh and tasty, so I got another dozen.  Heather was our server, a local, very knowledgeable and very efficient.   My wife ordered the buffalo shrimp and a bowl of crab soup.  She loves to have two appetizers for dinner.   I ordered my old go to from twenty five years ago, just to see if anything had changed, fried shrimp and oysters with a sweet potato and a side of apple sauce.   The buffalo shrimp arrived first and they were very good, at least a dozen and they are spicy.   They came with a few of their signature hush puppies. My wife filled up on these so when her soup arrived it ended up becoming togo food.  It was very good and I will enjoy it tomorrow. I can judge an entire seafood joint on the quality of their fried oysters.  I can tell a pre-breaded or canned oyster from a mile away.  Most places treat fried oysters as an after thought, Seafood Kitchen does not.  My fried combo was perfect!!  The oysters were excellent, perfect, and numerous.  The shrimp were also excellent.  No kidding, between the two there were at least 25 pieces on the dinner, almost more than I could eat.   Other than the remodeling job and a couple buck increase in prices since my last visit twenty years ago, not much has changed, which is good.  Great prices, great food, great service, hard to find these days.   Keep it up guys!!    I wont be waiting so long for my next visit I promise. Great little spot for fresh seafood. You will quickly realize, it's where the locals dine, so you might have a little wait if you plan on goung on a Friday night.  Menu is a little deceiving on the appetizer selection... they state "select one for 6 from a variety of appetizers but really it's 6 of one.. and they are quite sticklers to NO SUBSTITUTIONS.. as they are entitled to. Apparently, it helps speed up the kitchen with less options since fish selections are prepared to order. Nice size portions, we order the choice of 3 and were pleasantly surprised to eat to our content and still had leftovers to bring home.Great place, nothing fancy like on a dock or beachside but the food speaks for itself. Especially if you are a serious fish lover. More...

We are visiting the area and love trying local restaurants. Being originally from the pacific northwest, we love our seafood. We found this place online and it did not disappoint. Sarah M was our waitress and did an amazing job. The food was awesome. We had oysters on the half shell, fried banana peppers (must try, amazing!), lobster, softshell crab, local shrimp and collard greens. I also had a couple of yuengling beers, which we can't get in Idaho. For all of that food, our bill was a fraction of most places would have charged. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone, anytime. Ask for Sarah M. When you go in, she did a great job! More...

Growing up I loved family trips to the beach. Fondest memories are of local seafood restaurants where you got quantity, quality and hospitality. This place is it, right down to the old style paper place mats with tourist highlights of the state. We eat here often and are never disappointed. Always several varieties of fresh local caught fish and plenty of combos to choose from. Melody, our waitress today was special. Friendly, attentive and welcoming. The owner is a fisherman and knows the best of the local seafood. We will look forward to gong again and again and again. More...

Seafood Kitchen is one of my go to lunch restaurants when I'm in the beaches area. I regularly get the shrimp po-boy,  the fresh mayport shrimp is always sweet and the house made sauce is fantastic. The staff is always smiling and helpful. If you are looking for a local place with incredible fresh food and a great staff give Seafood Kitchen try and you will not be disappointed. More...

They just remodeled however they still have a problem with seating. Also the main door is to near the door we were there when it was cold . Ok. Let me start by saying that I am very picky!! Apparently I entered  through the wrong door which I thought was the front door and stood there for 5 minutes. It was Thursday evening the waitress's were hustling and as I stoodthere I made up my mind I'm leaving now. As I was about to leave a waitress did approach me and took my name and directed me to the correct door which is on the side of the restaurant. So I waited my turn and I kept thinking is this worth the wait?Once seated my server Reagan appeared promptly and explained the specials which included fresh Snapper  & Sheepshead! Now for those who do not understand red snapper was not fished for a couple of seasons and that means it was a rarity. Now I am torn between fish or the combination plate both costing $20. I choose the combination plate that includes fried oysters, scallops ,crab cake, shrimp and filet of fish. The fried oysters we're so good and light and soft and Luscious do I need to go on... I savored every bite. The fried food was perfect the batter was light and lightly seasoned which allows the goodness of the seafood to come through. Although the restaurant was full and very busy Reagan did a good job of checking with me and refilling my cup. I am taking my very picky self back on Saturday just to try the Snapper or Sheepshead head! It is worth the wait. More...

We went here tonight for our staff Christmas Dinner. They don't take reservations and were packed when we arrived. I was impressed with how hard they all worked to get us in quickly and pleasantly. The remodel looks great! Our waitress, Shelby, was absolutely incredible. We were quite a large party and I was amazed at how efficient yet friendly she was. We ordered and received our food in an unbelievable amount of time, so quick. The food was delicious. I had Wahoo which is my favorite fish. It was fabulous and I can't believe how much was on my plate. Baked potato was cooked to perfection, their hush puppies are phenomenal, and their cole slaw is my favorite in Jacksonville. More...

This is that hole in the wall that you wouldn't go in at first glance but can't stay away once you try it. Located in a run down strip, this local seafood joint doesn't disappoint. Inside you'll seat yourself at a number of small tables and look over a pretty substantial one page menu. There are also specials on the chalk board to check out. The best deal are the fifty cents oysters...offered throughout the week you can't go wrong. My typical trip would have me staring down a platter of either fried or blackened shrimp and flounder but this time one of the specials caught my eye. I'm a big po boy fan so I went with the oyster po boy. Holy crap...where did these mutant size oysters come from. Looking up at me was a bun stuffed full of perfectly fried, giant oysters that wanted to be nowhere else but in my belly. I topped the sandwich with some remoulade and attempted to pick it up. After some manipulation and eating a few oysters I managed to pick it up and start scarfing it down. I now have a new favorite sandwich. If you're looking for your next great Jax seafood adventure make sure this is on your map. More...

Worth 5 stars.  Not a fancy place to go dressed up...but the whole experience was great. Servers were knowledgeable and honest. No frills "slap the food on the table" service. Raw oysters on special and were good. Trigger fish was as fresh as server advised it would be. Bottles of tarter sauce on table. Not those pewnie  portion cups. When server noticed we drained our sodas she brought a pitcher to the table. Asked for lemon...she brought a small bowl of them. I'll go again for sure next time I'm in town visiting daughter. We hemmed and hawed about this place or a higher class joint next door. Not knocking the other place cuz I never been there, but it was a super seafood meal at a reasonable price. More...

My favorite in the Jax area. Punt the ambiance of high priced competitors. This simple, and reasonably priced restaurant scores a 10 in my book. I have spent twice as much for fish and liked it less. It's fresh and the hush puppies are to die for. The cobia was prepared perfectly. Melody treated us like celebrities with great suggestions and service. These ladies were working their rear ends off. Tonight dinner was soo good!! We started with eat by hand fried tomatoes and fried pickles.... fresh and I coulda made that my meal. I had the fried shrimp dinner with a baked tater and cole slaw. The shrimp were cooked well not chewy and breaded nicely. Some had the vein still stuck on them, but I got over it. I would normally get mad about coleslaw served in what I call a small togo sauce container, but I got enough shrimp to compensate!! The hush puppies were a little dense. The poop shoot and hush puppies is what brought it down a star for me. My friend got the stuffed shrimp which was pretty tasty.... not gross fishy tasting crab. They don't skimp on their portions and totally worth the cost. The waitress was attentive and nice. Great overall expierience. More...

Seafood Kitchen is by far the best place on the beach to enjoy delicious seafood and get more than your monies worth. The food is so good and it is really cheap. Oysters are 6.99/dz Sunday-Thursday and $7.99/dz Friday-Saturday. The oysters were so salty and delicious. The deviled crab is like heaven in a shell. The seafood combination can feed 2 people. Wow! At first I was a little thrown off, because it's a seafood shack, and the outside was not the cleanest.  Then; we ordered raw & steamed oysters, fried crab bites & the blue crab stew. My parents loved the oysters! The crab bites were like a crab stuffing ball fried.. Almost like a studding crab cake (super good!). The crab stew (3.99) was full of meat, but seemed a little too bland & milky for my taste. Then we ordered the fries grouper plate to share. WHOA! Probably one of the freshest, most likely crisp fried pieces of grouper I've had! My mom ordered a 1/2 carafe (6.99) of wine... It was like a Whole bottle! WHOA! (She was happy!)The service was a little slow, but fit the feel for the restaurant. Will definitely get the fried grouper (14.99) again, and will return! My wife and I stopped in around 9:00 on a Monday night.  We were the only customers in there.  She ordered the shrimp platter, I had the seafood platter.  Waitress neglected to tell us how much food is on these platters.  When they brought the food, my wife had roughly 20 large fresh fried shrimp with plenty of fixins.   My platter had 11 or 12 shrimp, clam strips, 8 or 9 scallops, 2 oysters (which I had subbed the clams for), and 4 huge pieces of fish.  WAY too much for 1 person to finish.  I'm a big guy and very rarely walk away from finishing my plate, but I had to here.  Waitress later told me that most folks order the lunch portion of that meal as the dinner was really enough for 2.  Both meals were very satisfying and staff was courteous and friendly.  Could have been a little cleaner, but I chalked it up to end of day. No, it's not a swanky restaurant but you do not have to have "swank" to get good seafood. I've never had bad service. Its a home owned restaurant that's been in business about 30 years and if it wasn't any good, you can bet it would have been gone a long time ago. It's a great place to eat. My wife and I camped at Kathryn Hanna Park in Jacksonville the week of 06/15/2015. We ate at the Seafood restaurant earlier in the week after reading the positive reviews. The food was so good we returned a couple of days later. The restaurant is old but clean. I believe it has been there since 1985. The waitress told us the owner and his sons catch a lot of the fish and the special of the day will be whatever fresh fish they have caught. My wife had cobia both days we went. I had shrimp broiled, fried and stuffed, sides of cole slaw, sweet potato and hush puppies. The portions are generous and the prices very fair. You can order the lunch portions for dinner and save 4-5 bucks. The staff was attentive and friendly. Heather was our waitress the 2nd night. 26 March 2015

Have been eating here for years. I can't count the number of people I have turned into regulars. I always get oysters for the appetizer and fried oysters for dinner and the quality is always consistent and the food superb. Keep a few things in mind, this place is indeed a "dive", its local and colorful. There is NOTHING healthy about the food. If you want great FRIED seafood at a very reasonable price you'll be very happy. Read a couple of reviews out of curiosity and a few things stuck out: Have never had a rude waitress and I swear I had to ask my boyfriend if there is a TV because I couldn't even remember seeing it.....my guess it whatever was on the tube wasn't interesting so I just turned my back...if that was too much trouble I bet asking them to change the channel would have fixed the issue. Oh, and this restaurant is very clearly not set up for large parties, can't imagine trying to show up with more that say five or six people, no surprise they couldn't handle a party of 13 without any notice! 6 September 2014

The cole slaw was my favorite type, the mayo, sugar type.  Hush puppies were good flavored, not greasy, and fully cooked.  Sometimes at other places, they often aren't fully cooked inside.  The tartar sauce is slightly sweet.  My fried fish (think I got perch) was lightly cooked and soft.   There were only two things that I didn't like... The fried shrimp had an unusual texture.... It reminded me of eating chicken instead of shrimp.... And also the waitress was unfriendly on her first table visit... But she became much nicer on the other visits to the table.... I think because the restaurant cleared out and she was less stressed.  She continued to make sure we were happy. The restaurant is outdated, but that's OK to me since the food was good.  The bathroom door had lots of dirt around the handle area which appears would be easily cleaned. My husband  and i just happened to be in the area and saw this restaurant had good reviews.  So glad we stopped in. Seafood Kitchen isn't a fancy place. You sit at tables decorated with a placemat of Florida, but the placemat isn't why you stay. It's the food!  The seafood could not be any fresher, and the plate could not have been piled any higher with delicious entrees.  I saw many people leaving with leftovers, as i did. If you enjoy Key Lime pie, try a some. The graham crust was a tad soggy, but the filling is an authentic slice of Key Lime heaven. Some reviewers seemed concerned about the speed of service.  We thought it was just fine. This is a "mom & pop" restaurant, not a fancy chain, meaning the food is not taken off a truck and re-heated. The food is cooked fresh when you order. Our waitress was sweet and made sure we had everything we needed several times, and made sure to refill our tea several times as well.  We will definitely return. One note: The prices shown on Yelp are not current as of this review.  The restaurant might want to invest in a one to two page web site to help keep the menu up-to-date. More...

Outstanding service and the food is out of this world good.  A must go to place for food. We had a large group and the waitress took care of everything even remembering the drinks everyone had.  I recommend this place for anyone who loves seafood and even the steak. More...

Best Conch Fritters. This place is great. Truly nothing fancy and certainly not stuffy, but really good seafood, very large portions, and great prices. I have no idea how they turn out so much good food from that tiny kitchen, but they do! My personal favorite is the Conch Fritters appetizer. You could honestly make a meal out of one order - they give you so many! They are just as good, if not better, than any I've had in Key West. Oddly enough, I also really love their sides! Sounds stupid, but they have the best baked potatoes around. The baked sweet potatoes look good as well. And, while I am not a fan of coleslaw, I have to admit, their's is delicious (not sweet!) and perfect to nosh on while you wait for your freshly prepared entree. Even if you have to wait outside on the benches for a little while, it is worth it! And you will walk out with lunch for the next day! More...

This is one of my favorite restaurants at the beach. Really fresh and huge portions. The cole slaw they bring out is the perfect starter and the food comes out quickly afterwards. Very affordable too, easily the best seafood at the beach for the price. More...

We used to eat here all the time when we lived in Arlington, now that we are moving back to Arlington we will be eating here more often than not. I have never had a bad tasteless meal at the Seafood Kitchen, that's why I keep coming back. We were in Arlington last week and we decided to go visit an old favorite, one we hadn't been too in almost 10 years since we moved away. I had the seafood cvombo plate fried and I really liked everything on the plate. My only complaint is the plate is so small that when piled high with shrimp, oysters, scallops a huge fish filet and a deviled crab on top of a mountain of fries, it's hard to find a spot on your plate to put a dollop of ketchup/cocktail sauce on to dip your food into it. Tonight we went back there and I had the same meal but broiled this time just to try it. It was just as good if not better, I told my wife we definitely  had to come back again next week and get it 1/2 fried and 1/2 broiled to do a fair comparison and decide once and for all which I liked better fried or broiled. I'll let ya know in the future.LOL :) More...

Great food great service. Went here for lunch - had grouper and shrimp lunch- it was cooked the way fish is suppose to b cooked not over cooked- the service was excellent- the price was such that you can go here for lunch a few days a week -the server w real attentive and helped with my lunch selection- the wait although it was busy was short-the tea glass never ran low or did our water- we didn't have to ask our server for a thing but the check- I would recommend seafood kitchen to anyone for lunch- one thing you don't go here for fries but this day they needed some work- do yourself a favor and go here save some money and get some great seafood -----26 Nov, 2012----- Great food and service. We have been going to this place for quite sometime-the portions and the price can not be beat-the wait staff is real nice and helpful-they have better shrimp/than most places that charge double the price-and what we really like is the knowledgeable staff that will suggest an item if you are having a hard time deciding-do your self a favor and try this place out-you will not be disappointed-- More...

Nice quick lunch. You can't go wrong for a simple old Florida style lunch. Servers are quite friendly and the food is very good. Not fancy but good. I always seem to order my usual grilled fish sandwich. Nice sized flounder fillet on old school bun. For $6 you get a nice sandwich and a baked potato (or other side) as well as coleslaw or applesauce. (not sure where that tradition came from) The oysters are also a good deal since they are usually just $4 a dozen. Their crabmeat stew is also another good appetizer to try. More...

Old beach favorite, nothing fancy just very tasty seafood!

19 February 2013

One of those great "hole in the wall" restaurants! Cheap prices, friendly to everybody and nice portion sizes make this one of my favorites when I'm in jacksonville. I don't know about dirty... Looks and feels clean to me. Just has old wood paneling and an old tile floor. You want to pay 26 dollars a plate downtown for what you get for 12 here... Then go downtown to the fancy restaurant! It's more food for me! Love it! More...

Good quality for GREAT, cheap price. They go heavy on the blackening, but it's still moist seafood. Oysters and scallops were my favorite! My fiancé and I go often since the beginning of our relationship and am glad quality has not changed. It is pretty filthy inside... But it's been around forever and they're always busy. More...

WE just visited last week. Its a causal place, very friendly to us old folks. I got a laugh out of the Captain D sized container's of  cole slaw, that was really my only knock on the place. Its a 1 room family type seafood dive, it would be right at home on Triple D.Food got there fast and was hot, service was top of the bunch, Never had to ask for anything, we got tea fast and they even asked if we wanted a to go cup.We both had the fried shrimp which is my standard go to dish, a tad pricey but its the beach. Is the place perfect no, but its near a 4 and so I give them the extra points. Time will tell as one never knows how there are from time to time, but we always heard good things about it.Recommended. Not the most eye catching place, but the seafood is fresh and tastey.  I've been eating there for 10 years and always get the seafood combination and oyster stew.  Never had a bad experience.

Simple but superb!. While on vacation in Fl I asked a clerk at a small shop in Jacksonville where the best seafood diner in the area would be--she responded "the Seafood Kitchen" and gave us directions. Had we not had her assurance that it was the best seafood around, I may never have located it or ventured inside once I had. It looked more or less like a greasy spoon diner but, from past experience, the greasy spoon diners are usually the best. And this was no exception!!! The best seafood I have ever eaten--bar none. I was amazed that they could serve so much, so deliciously, and at such a reasonable price. My whole family is looking forward to returning to this diner--I just hope it hasn't changed. More...

Good Food. Try the Grouper Fingers and the fish taco's. Don't waste your money on the other place across the parking lot (Fish Company). Its a waste of money.

GREAT FOOD!!. I live in Valdosta, GA and the company I work for has a condo on Atlantic Beach and being able to enjoy a meal (or 2) at the Seafood Kitchen has got to be a highlight of my trip. The food is great, prices are very good for the servings that you are given and the staff is always friendly regardless of how busy they might be. The restaurant is not fancy at all and is very simple but if you want a GREAT meal at a GREAT price then choose Seafood Kitchen. You will NOT be disappointed. More...

Came here on a Thursday night around 8ish.  Being here for 14 years you'd think I've heard of this place but I haven't.  Hubby and I were torn between this and the new place Fish Company across from it.  When we walked in it was not what I had imagined, but better.  My mood that night was seafood, quick service fried seafood that wouldn't cost a fortune.  This place isn't like Mitchells at the townes center, or like a franchise such as Red Lobster.  Just a local spot to eat.  We got greeted by two servers right away and got sat right away.  I knew right away this place has been around for a long long time.  I noticed right away that we were the youngest couple there and everyone there seemed to have eaten there more than a handful of times.  A good thing right. We ordered the calamari.  I got the sweet tea..hubby found out it was 6 dollar pitchers and was happy.   I think I had 11 refills of the sweet tea it was so good or me being preggo right now I was just thirsty and wanted my caffeine and sweet fix.  Calamari was good and straight to the point.  Than our entrees came with the quickness! Ahhh I was not ready yet oh well =)My fried fish nom nom nom nom with baked potatoe on the side.My husband said wow this is a lot of shrimp! I have never heard that from even my best friend who is a shrimp ordering all the time.  The side sauces were given and we tore it up! So much food for a good price and we still had tons to box up.  I'll be back! More...

Best place EVER!. This is probably the best restaurant any seafood lover could find in a lifetime. The fish just came out of the ocean, the portions are huge, and the prices are comparable to McDonald's! It is my favorite restaurant of all time, and I wish I could find it outside of Jacksonville since I no longer reside in the area. Everytime I go back, I go there at least once. More...

This is the quintessential piece of local flavor that you absolutely want when visiting a beach town like Atlantic Beach.  It's a little mom and pop place with limited seating, and waitresses who say things like "Did you get your sauces, baby?' in a nice southern drawl.  I used to go about once every time I come back to visit, but now I'm up to at least twice.People rave about the broiled grouper, but I stick to the clam chowder and raw oysters.  The hush puppies are also delicious.  There are a lot of combo meals with fish, shrimp, crab, all kinds of stuff.  Prices are reasonable.  Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
