Mark is the consummate professional who'll get you positive results. Old school marketing has it's limitations and if you're not on the proverbial cutting edge with the latest media platforms, then you're missing a large segment of your potential market.

Q&A

Helping small businesses grow and achieve their goals.
Helping a dad pay for ballet lessons for his daughter.
Helping a mom spend less time stressing about how she'll get more patients into her dental practice and more time at he son's soccer game.
Helping a family restaurant hire more staff because they are so busy instead of cutting back on hours because they're empty.

I spent years working with C-Suite level executives in huge corporations, the biggest banks in the world and giant financial services companies and while it was lucrative. It never made me happy. I grew to hate what I was doing and what I was a part of. My joy came from helping my friends small businesses and other small businesses on the side. I'd sit in meeting with CEOs and think about what I could be doing for my friend's barbeque restaurant or my chiropractor or how I could promote the charity event we were running for a 7 year old girl with cancer instead of strategies for the billion dollar deal we were discussing in the meeting in which I was sitting.

I knew I needed a change and I made it and I love it.

I love the challenge of figuring out what makes a small business tick. I love the PASSION of small business owners, family business owners and entrepreneurs. I LOVE learning about why they started their businesses and all that they've put into them.

But most of all I LOVE helping them grow and achieve their goals.

I had enough.

I'd been working for and with some of the largest corporations, banks and financial services companies in the world for almost 20 years. And I just couldn't do it anymore. It made me miserable... I'd I decided to get back to my passion. Helping small businesses grow.

I come from a family of small business owners. My father owns small businesses. My uncle was the owner a small Italian Store & Butcher Shop. My other uncle owned his own barber shop. My grandfather ran a small appliance repair shop for years. My other grandfather spent 40 plus years working as a waiter in a small family owned Italian restaurant in Pittsburgh after he came to America from Italy. I believe in supporting small businesses and LOVE the passion and drive of small business owners and their families.

I remember how they all struggled to market their business in the pre-internet era and wish I could've done for them then what I can do for small businesses now. I've been working in Marketing for almost 20 years. I started in television (CBS, New York Times Television, ect). I moved on to corporate consulting with Booz Allen Hamilton where I worked with clients like every branch of the military, Harris Bank, The National Gallery of Art, The Center for Medicare Services and many more. I left Booz Allen to start my own company and ran that for 5 years. I was the chief creative consultant for Visa Labs, Visa's technology arm, and was in charge of their marketing efforts. I also worked with clients like the Postal Service, Manalto and OnTrack Advisory. I decided to take a position as the Vice President of Marketing and Branding with Deep Labs, a technology company. While there I worked with clients including Visa, PNC, Chase, The Government of Singapore, Hershey's and many others. But working with those giant corporations made miserable. So I made the decision to leave and go back to working for myself and concentrate solely on working with small businesses.

Why should you choose me?

Right now I don't know if you should. We might not be a good fit.

Lucky Dog Marketing isn't right for everybody. At this moment, I don't know you or your business. It would be incredibly arrogant for me to claim that Lucky Dog is the Marketing Agency that you should choose. It's very possible that you should not choose me and that I should not choose you.

That decision depends on some very important questions.

But to answer the spirit of your question. Our clients give a few main reasons for why they work with me. First, we are not just a cheap leads generator. If that's what you want then Lucky Dog isn't right for you. We concentrate on getting you customers not just leads. We work with our clients throughout the sales process to convert as many leads into new customers as possible and reactivating as many of your current and lapsed customers as possible. The second reason was transparency, we share as much information as we can with our clients so they know exactly what they are getting for the money they spend with us. Third is relentlessness, we don't stop testing and experimenting until we find the right formula to bring your business more customers. The fourth reason is passion. We are passionate advocates for our clients and their businesses and do everything possible to help them.

Those were the main reasons our customers gave for why they work with Lucky Dog.

Those reason may or may not be what you are looking for. Every situation is unique. Lessons learned from past clients help get us to success faster, but that doesn't mean that we are the best fit for everyone. Your situation and your business is unique too. What you are looking for and what you need may not be what we provide.

This is why we start every interaction with a potential client with a strategy session. We want to learn as much as we can about your business and teach you as much as we can about what Lucky Dog does and how it is done first in order to decide whether or not we are a good fit before we ever talk about working together.

"I HATE YELP! I HATE GOOGLE REVIEWS! I HATE FACEBOOK REVIEWS!" I've heard so many clients scream that so many times. Most clients think that there is nothing more that they can do to improve their reviews and reputation online. They ask their customers to leave them reviews, but never get more than a few. Maybe they even accepted Review Management as an add on service by some other service provider and got nothing. Well don't lose hope. Lucky Dog Marketing consistently attracts positive reviews and prevent negative reviews for our customers. Here are few examples: Chiropractor: Annandale, VA: 32 New 5-Star Reviews in a month; 2 1-Star Reviews Prevented Cosmetic Dentist: Tidewater, VA: 44 New 5-Star Reviews in a Month Pizza Restaurant: Newport News, VA: 50 New 5-Star Reviews in a Month There are dozens of other examples of clients who have had tremendous success with our review management program and when review management is combined with our ROI Engine program the results increase exponentially.

Lucky Dog Marketing builds customized marketing campaigns that leverage the unique capabilities of online platforms like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Google to target the customers most likely to purchase you product or service. We focus not only on attracting leads, but helping our clients convert as many of those leads as possible into new paying customers and converting as many of those new customers into long term customers.

Why do businesses advertise on TV and Radio? Why do businesses buy print ads in newspapers and magazines? Distribution. TV, Radio, Newspapers & Magazines have eyeballs on them and when you buy an ad on those platforms you are paying for those eyeballs... But there are no guarantees that those eyeballs belong to people who are likely to purchase your product or service. In fact, nobody can tell you if ANYONE who is likely to become a customer for you is going to see your ad on any of those platforms. But what if you could build your own radio station, TV station, newspaper or magazine with thousands if not tens of thousands of people in it and could be certain that the content you presented on it will only be seen by the people who are most likely to purchase your product or service? That is the idea behind the ROI engine. We attract customers who are interested in your product or service using targeted social media ads to drive them into a marketing program. The number of new customers we aim to attract every month depends on your product and service and it's costs, but for some clients we have seen as many as 2,000 opt ins in a month. That's obviously not a typical results. For fast casual type restaurants we shoot for 500 opt ins in a month, but the goal varies according to your business. We then utilize Facebook Messenger, Email and Text Messages to nurture the people in our database to get them to patronize your business again and again. Facebook Messenger is what email was 20 years ago. 95% open rates and 40-60% click through rates. This isn't a short term solution as the goal is to add subscribers every month and build the power of the program over time. We do offer supplementary programs to get quick wins if that is what you need, but the real power of the ROI engine grows like a snowball rolling down hill. We create a sustainable marketing program that will grow and drive sales month after month.

Marketing is a long term play. We tell our clients that it will often take a few months to really get a campaign working the way we want it to. Every business is unique and it takes time to figure out the right formula, to test and optimize campaigns. That being said Lucky Dog Marketing has developed a set of capabilities that we call our Blast Off Service. Blast Off is designed for businesses that need to get customers in their doors as quickly as possible. Blast Off is not appropriate for every business, but when utilized for businesses that qualify it often leads to huge sales volume in the first month.

Video makes up nearly 80% of internet traffic. YouTube is the number 2 search engine on the internet. Video is the number one type of content people engage with on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and online. Video helps search engine optimization and drives traffic to your site and into your business. But most businesses generate ZERO video content. The team at Lucky Dog Marketing has nearly 20 years of experience with Video Production. We've created projects for clients like Visa, PNC, every branch of the military, The National Gallery of Art, Harris Bank, Manalto, Deep Labs, OnTrack Advisory, Hershey's, National Geospatial Intelligence Agency, The US Postal Service and many others. We specialize in helping our clients develop the right video content to tell their story to their clients the right way to attract new customers to their business, reengage their current customers to bring them back and build their brand over time.
