What information do you need from a client before you start work?
I want to get to the essence of your business and what you wish to show to elicit a particular response from your audience. I want to learn what your values are as a company so I can be true to it when I help communicate what you are trying to do. That is the most important thing to me when starting work with new clients. Are you trying to elicit a response through a call to action? Do you wish to drive brand loyalty or just get your name out there? It all has to be carefully thought out and communicated visually and verbally through the pieces that you create.
What sorts of printing projects do you usually cater for?
I can create anything to your specifications. I have done a wide variety of projects for clients over the years. I do a lot of collateral print pieces brochures, flyers, posters, merch, logos, business identities and stationery and now social media graphics. I am used to creating a messaging campaign of a family of materials that are consistent and all work together to accomplish your goal.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety of projects. It keeps things interesting. I also like to have about three things going on at once so I don't get bogged down in the details of one for too long. I like jumping in and out of projects for a fresh perspective. I also find fulfillment in delivering something tangible that a client is super excited about and eager to use. It gets even better when that deliverable created tangible results for the client.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I have spent many years in a corporate job and wanted the opportunity to go out and try to build business on my own. I like the thought of helping start up companies and not just big corporations.
