Ashley is an amazing dog trainer and you will not regret having her as your trainer! She provided us with as much support as needed and will be there for you when needed. She is flexible and will work with your needs so that you can have your perfect dog! She trained our corgi puppy and he has changed for the better and we are so much happier!
We rescued our dog in October 2017. He was about 1.5 years old, had been through a couple homes and was possibly a stray at some point, and had aggression issues. We worked with a trainer on some basics, but we weren't able to make much progress on his aggression and other behavioral issues. When he bit me one evening while trying to groom him, we knew we had to get some concentrated help. We contacted Tom and began a new "Boot Camp" policy, and within a couple weeks, we started to see vast improvement (not perfection by any means, but definite improvement!). He became a different dog after we implemented the changes that Tom recommended, which really involved a lot of self-control and discipline. Dog training is people training, and Tom made this training easy to learn and accessible. Contacting Tom was the best decision we ever made not only for our boy, but also for ourselves as dog owners and dog lovers. Our dog is still learning, and we are still learning, and we all still have a ways to go, but Tom stresses that he is there to help whenever questions arise, and he often invites his clients to join him for pack walks that involve training refreshers. Overall, Tom is a fantastic trainer, and I highly recommend him! Training with him is an investment that is worth every penny.
Kristin (as we called her in Hawai'i, "Aunty Kristin") was Princess Pugsley's dog walker for couple years. She is the most trustworthy, sweet, loving, reliable and responsible dog walker EVER! When we first met Kristin you could tell she loved her job, and she knew how to work with dogs. She took her time to get to know my family and both of my dogs (Princess Pugsley and Daisy). My biggest fear was that Princess Pugsley would give Kristin a hard time and be unmanagable or aggressive towards other dogs on the walk. However, it must be the touch and energy Kristin gives off, but Princess Pugsley never misbehaved with Kristin. We also always trusted Kristin. If no one was home, we always trusted Kristin to come into our home and take Princess Pugsley for her walk. When we come home, Kristin always left us the cutest note letting us know how Princess Pugsley did on her walk. We still have every note! Kristin would also send me the most beautiful pictures of Princess Pugsley and Daisy (so Daisy didn't feel left out). Kristin always communicated with me if a walk needed to be rescheduled due to weather. She was always accommodating. Princess Pugsley LOVES ❤️ Aunty Kristin!! When Kristin would arrive to the door and called out for Princess Pugsley, Princess Pugsley would run to the door, with her tail wagging back and forth. Until this day, when I say "Aunty Kristin" Princess Pugsley's ears perk up. Beyond being a AWESOME dog walker, Kristin is such a down to earth person. Easy to talk to and always so uplifting and postive. We MISS YOU Kristin!
I have to say that Pet U Cation has been a lifesaver for my dog Phil. Yes this is that Phil from BARCS. We adopted him in December and after a very rough and traumatic first couple months with Phil, the professionals at Pet U Cation have really helped me with Phil. Their gentle training techniques and their capability of explaining and educating me on how to teach Phil and how to understand what Phil is going through have helped tremendously. I a truly appreciative of them. Phil enjoys and looks forward to going to OSR and he ls tired and happy when I pick him up at the end of the day! That is what matters most! I will continue to bring Phil and attend the training. It is helping both of us have a more meaningful and less stressful relationship.
For over 15 years, our family has benefitted from the advice and training methods taught by Deb Winkler and Lindsay at Humane Domain. We have participated in Puppy Kindergarten, and Basic Manners, as well as evaluations for introducing and integrating rescue pups into the mix. Deb is so knowledgeable and committed to building a trusting and loving relationship between humans and animals. All of the training techniques start with understanding the dog’s love for its person, motivations for different behaviors, and our ability to mold the behaviors with kindness. Included with the training is important health and safety advice. Her work with different therapy animals is pretty amazing, too! Our children’s love and kindness toward animals throughout their growing up, has been shaped by all the stuff we’ve learned, and as they go out into the world- they take that with them- Pretty cool!
This is the first time I am attending obedience school and Branchwater was recommended to me by a friend. I'm truly thankful that I found them. I have a 6-year-old Westie and I am working towards, hopefully, getting her therapy dog certified. Cindy Hill has been wonderful and has answered all my questions and concerns and is always encouraging both me and my dog Maura. She takes the time to work with owners, like me, who may need a little one-on-one time and has given me great suggestions. She is very knowledgeable and patient and really loves what she does. Although Maura is a very good dog and very smart she can be very stubborn and knows how to push my buttons. This training has been very good for both of us. Thanks Cindy and Branchwater!
We started with puppy class and have continued since with different phases of training. David and his staff are knowledgeable and take great pride in bringing out the best in dogs. All we have to do is get close to the building and out Kimber goes crazy.
I adopted a 2 year old German Shepherd mix who was reactive to other dogs. Tecla's worked with her in their daycare for reactive dogs. She came a long way very quickly. She now attends daycare twice a week and actually enjoys interacting with other dogs now.
Working with Attention K9 Training was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We adopted a 3-year old pit bull 18 months ago. We spent the first year confused and frustrated because his behavior was so bad everywhere and all the time. We reached out to Sarah and it was a game changer. We did 6 sessions with her (novice program) and we now have a well behaved dog that makes our life better. All of our friends have commented on how much better our dog is which just confirms Sarah’s credibility as a trainer.
