Ashley is an amazing dog trainer and you will not regret having her as your trainer! She provided us with as much support as needed and will be there for you when needed. She is flexible and will work with your needs so that you can have your perfect dog! She trained our corgi puppy and he has changed for the better and we are so much happier!
We are so pleased with the services that Pet-U-Cation offers. We took our very energetic 10 month old pittie to increase his socialization and work on his manners when playing with other dogs. We have seen improvements already and he really loves going to "school", as we call it. They clearly spend a lot of individualized time with all the dogs and work with them according to their strengths and weaknesses. Plus, they post live videos and pix of the dogs on the private FB group, which is pretty great!
For over 15 years, our family has benefitted from the advice and training methods taught by Deb Winkler and Lindsay at Humane Domain. We have participated in Puppy Kindergarten, and Basic Manners, as well as evaluations for introducing and integrating rescue pups into the mix. Deb is so knowledgeable and committed to building a trusting and loving relationship between humans and animals. All of the training techniques start with understanding the dog’s love for its person, motivations for different behaviors, and our ability to mold the behaviors with kindness. Included with the training is important health and safety advice. Her work with different therapy animals is pretty amazing, too! Our children’s love and kindness toward animals throughout their growing up, has been shaped by all the stuff we’ve learned, and as they go out into the world- they take that with them- Pretty cool!
This is the first time I am attending obedience school and Branchwater was recommended to me by a friend. I'm truly thankful that I found them. I have a 6-year-old Westie and I am working towards, hopefully, getting her therapy dog certified. Cindy Hill has been wonderful and has answered all my questions and concerns and is always encouraging both me and my dog Maura. She takes the time to work with owners, like me, who may need a little one-on-one time and has given me great suggestions. She is very knowledgeable and patient and really loves what she does. Although Maura is a very good dog and very smart she can be very stubborn and knows how to push my buttons. This training has been very good for both of us. Thanks Cindy and Branchwater!
Tom was a pleasure to work with throughout the process of training our corgi, Daisy. She had obedience issues and some slight aggression on walks, so we turned to Tom for help. We learned so much new information about our dog and feel we can understand her much better now. When our friends and family visit, they quickly recognize that Daisy is a completely different dog now, and praise her on how well behaved she is now! Tom helped make us better dog owners, and made Daisy a better dog in the process.
We started with puppy class and have continued since with different phases of training. David and his staff are knowledgeable and take great pride in bringing out the best in dogs. All we have to do is get close to the building and out Kimber goes crazy.
I brought two siblings into my home unaware of the special challenges the littermate situation can present. My vet encouraged me to find another home for one of them, but I'd already fallen in love with both of them and couldn't imagine choosing one to give up. I searched for help and found it in the form of the wonderful team at Tecla's. A year later my vet said she wishes all her dogs were doing this well. Be prepared, much of the training is about you and you'll need to be open to learning new tricks yourself. If you are ready, you'll find everyone here devoted to your dog(s.) My girls found a trusted home away from home and I never worry about them when they are at Tecla's. I found the skills and patience to give my pups a great start and had so much fun doing it, I've started them in rally classes even though I'm the last person I ever could have imagined in rally. I may sound overly passionate, but I truly do believe they allowed me to keep my dogs when no one else thought it was possible.P.S. If you aren't familiar with the world of professional dog training, the surface environment may not at first seem responsive to you the human in ways you might be used to in other worlds. (I heard this from another potential client who was frustrated that a staff member was was watching a video on her iPhone and then gave her feedback about the way she was managing her dog. Hang in there, the work they do is focused on one dog and one owner at a time. When it is your turn, you and your dog will get their absolute attention. The work they do requires that they (and you) stick with the dog until the dog gets it. I pointed out that the video the staff member was watching was of the dog she was working with (not a personal video as the client wrongly assumed) and totally part of her focus on the dog and her current client. If you want your dog to do the behaviors when these folks aren't around, you will have to change the way you handle your dog and isn't that what you really want? So, leave your assumptions at the door and enter an amazing place for dogs and the humans who are lucky enough to have found this place.
Kristin (as we called her in Hawai'i, "Aunty Kristin") was Princess Pugsley's dog walker for couple years. She is the most trustworthy, sweet, loving, reliable and responsible dog walker EVER! When we first met Kristin you could tell she loved her job, and she knew how to work with dogs. She took her time to get to know my family and both of my dogs (Princess Pugsley and Daisy). My biggest fear was that Princess Pugsley would give Kristin a hard time and be unmanagable or aggressive towards other dogs on the walk. However, it must be the touch and energy Kristin gives off, but Princess Pugsley never misbehaved with Kristin. We also always trusted Kristin. If no one was home, we always trusted Kristin to come into our home and take Princess Pugsley for her walk. When we come home, Kristin always left us the cutest note letting us know how Princess Pugsley did on her walk. We still have every note! Kristin would also send me the most beautiful pictures of Princess Pugsley and Daisy (so Daisy didn't feel left out). Kristin always communicated with me if a walk needed to be rescheduled due to weather. She was always accommodating. Princess Pugsley LOVES ❤️ Aunty Kristin!! When Kristin would arrive to the door and called out for Princess Pugsley, Princess Pugsley would run to the door, with her tail wagging back and forth. Until this day, when I say "Aunty Kristin" Princess Pugsley's ears perk up. Beyond being a AWESOME dog walker, Kristin is such a down to earth person. Easy to talk to and always so uplifting and postive. We MISS YOU Kristin!
Working with Attention K9 Training was one of the best decisions we have ever made. We adopted a 3-year old pit bull 18 months ago. We spent the first year confused and frustrated because his behavior was so bad everywhere and all the time. We reached out to Sarah and it was a game changer. We did 6 sessions with her (novice program) and we now have a well behaved dog that makes our life better. All of our friends have commented on how much better our dog is which just confirms Sarah’s credibility as a trainer.
