What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy painting a picture for business owners about their risk level and helping them get in compliance. I enjoy instilling confidence in business owners so they can address their employment matters and return to improving their services for their customers.
What inspired you to start your own business?
After nearly a decade of customizing handbooks and answering employers questions regarding employee engagment, wages and benefits, employee onboarding, termination, and employee conflict, it was clear business owners often went into business because they were an expert in their craft. Handling employee issues was not part of their "dream". We want to provide business owners with a snap shot of their employee relations so they can set goals to make their workplaces better. We want business owners to be able to answer the question, "Where do I stand regarding the employment laws?"
Why should our clients choose you?
With nearly a decade of experience customizing employee handbooks for business owners across the country, I understand policies must comply with local, state, and federal law. The experience I bring using my legal background addressing employee matters in each state has resulted in resolving thousands of HR issues and customizing more than 800 employee handbooks.
I am familiar with many different employment laws and regulations such as American's with Disability Act (ADA), state disability laws, wage laws, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state family leave laws, workers compensation, National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Pregnancy Workers Fairness Act (PWFA), at-will employment, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), etc.
Can you provide your services online or remotely? If so, please add details.
Yes, we can provide audits remotely and conduct investigations. There are aspects to audits that are best done in person. Remote audits require sending documents electronically and conducting meetings via zoom or phone.
What changes have you made to keep your customers safe from Covid-19?
Our business began in the post COVID era. However, we can provide services remotely. If necessary, masks can be worn during any in person interaction.
HR Audit
An investigator will look at what your business currently uses to addresses issues (i.e. handbook, forms, process, etc.). You will recieve an assessment regarding the quality of your handbook. Handbook quality is determined by compliance with state and federal law. Additionally, an investigator will assess whether you are applying your policies consistently. Our audits also assess whether there is potential for wage issues.
HR Organization
This service takes the information from our HR Audit and helps our customers get organized by bringing policies into compliance, getting your records organized and ensuring your managers and team leads know how to execute when issues arise.
HR Investigation
This service is third-party investigation service. If our customers need us to conduct an investigation, we will provide a neutral fact-finding investigation. We will let you know what we find and provide you with potential options to move forward. Recommendations provided upon request.
