Sat on a chair just instructing never showing me ...telling me ..no not that way....no faith in this woman...ask for credentials ...had none except for her word....wanted 375 an hour came an hour and a half late ...was there not even 25 mins and wanted full price....I gave her 200 and she argued but didn't win

Dog Training

Lynda was professional and helpful. We made progress with my pup. My only complaint was that she was never on time. On more than a few occasions she was as much as an hour late. Because of this I had to lower her rating to a 4. More...

Dog Training

So expensive I could only afford 2 visits at my low income level. Helpful, but I could not afford to continue.

Dog Training

My 1st furbaby Remington crossed the Rainbow bridge in 2022 at age 11, whom I raised from 8 weeks and trained him in the mountains and forests of New England, and we moved to Philadelphia when he was 6. Following my grieving period and several applications later, I adopted Chili, 9 mos old Retreiver January of this year. While I successfully trained Remington on my own, live in a dog friendly building, training in a city is completely foreign territory for me, and I knew I couldn’t do it alone. Following a complaint from an incorrigible neighbor regarding barking while I was away on an overnight business trip and Chili was being watched by a neighbor, I was devastated, questioning my prior success as a dogmom. In addition, she was lunging, jumping, while not aggressive, this gave me pause as I have seen how quickly this behavior could change for the worse. I wanted Chili to have the best life ever. Determined to make it so, I landed on Bark.com. Lynda contacted me the same night and our training journey started immediately after. 6 sessions later Lynda has first and foremost guided and trained ME as a dog parent. The result? My sweet and spicy girl is calmer, eager to learn and please, with the “normal” puppy behavior right on par with well, a PUPPY (high energy, low attention span, mischievous tests for her human lol, etc). With Lynda’s help, providing 1:2 in home training and bringing 40 years experience you can’t get fr YouTube (yes, that was my first attempt at self training), Chili now follows basic commands without treats and automatically “sits pretty” when we’re ready to go out, in an elevator, and basically whenever I pause when outside on a leash. Her tips and guidance for dog training have helped me immensely as I have zero experience training a puppy in an urban environment.
As I truly believe the Universe placed Chili and me in one another’s lives, I feel Lynda was brought to us as well. Thank you Lynda for your love and patience for animals and their people. I’m excited to continue working with her to make sure Chili has everything she needs to be the best she can be and me the best dogmom I can be to her. Who knows, we may potentially see Agility competitions in Chili’s future!

We had a great experience with training for our dogs. Despite the challenges, we were able to find ways to improve our family’s ability to manage their behaviors in a way to help improve their quality of life.

Working with Venture Farm was a very positive experience. Lynda immediately developed a great rapport with my 4 lb Maltese, Biggy. She was quickly able to instruct me on how to alter his unwanted behaviors. Lynda masterfully trained Biggy to develop new behaviors. She ensured that both of us would successfully use what she taught him when training was over. Mission accomplished! If you need a very experienced, professional trainer who is a pleasure to work with, hire Lynda. More...

Lynda is a dedicated trainer. In two weeks time she had my neurotic dog, Winston, behaving better and responding to me as the alpha. What a transformation! Walks are now enjoyable, he now wants to go out, so no more peeing in the house, and generally calmer, creating pleasant days for us both. Recommend Lynda highly for competence and instant connection with the pup. More...

I have used Lynda for other dogs I've adopted and referred other people with training issues. She has helped many people who foster dogs prepare them for new homes as well.

Lynda has worked with my dog and friends dogs. She has a comprehensive dog training course. The key to success is in the following of her instructions on training between sessions to develop the proper language and utilize the safe and humane techniques in the training process. You will have immediate results on the very first session. I recommend Lynda highly to anyone needing a dog training or behavioral modification expert. More...

Q&As

I love working with people and helping them make their pups the best pups that they can be.

When I was a child and would walk my dogs in the park I would see folks struggling with controlling their pups. I decided that I wanted to develop an uncomplicated method of teaching people how to train their dogs to keep them and their dogs safe.

I am a positive reinforcement dog trainer and a behavioral specialist of over 50 years. I have had the privilege of mentoring to present with a dog trainer who hold a title in the Guinness Book of World Records as well as mentoring with a dog breeder and trainer who has bred many dogs that have won at the Nationals and have held top twenty titles. I have also put championship and obedience titles on many of my pups. I continue taking classes on a regular basis currently as well as I am in the process of putting a special award called the ROM on one of my pups.

Yes, I can provide services through zoom meetings.

I wash my hands and use hand sanitizer after each client, wear a mask as required and keep a 6 foot distance.

Services

The first meeting I always do an evaluation, goal setting and beginning training session. I can travel to your private home or the client is most welcome to travel to my facility for a one hour private training session. The client will always have daily homework to do, it only takes a few minutes. I only take on 3 or 4 clients at a time so that I can work closely with my clients and meet with them often. I am just like hiring a personal trainer. My clients can contact me anytime by phone or text message. If I am not available I will get back to you very promptly!
