How important is a healthy diet to someone’s health and wellbeing?
It is becoming more evident how important the foods we eat influence our health and longevity (how long we live). For example, more and more research is demonstrating the influence particular foods have on the bacteria in our gastrointestinal system.
What do you love most about your job?
Seeing my clients reach their goals, and maintain habits they did not think they could do!
Witnessing my clients feel better as a result of the changes they have made.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I got frustrated working in typical hospital dietitian roles because I was not able to spend much time with my patients to properly assess and counsel them. Consequently, I was unable to really understand the causes of their dietary challenges in order to support them in formulating appropriate, relevant dietary recommendations.
It was difficult to individualize a dietary pattern given the lack of time with patients.

I am very much about meeting you where you are and working with you to identify small steps to get you closer to the ideal eating pattern (and healthy habits) for you.
We all struggle to shift our behaviors - it is natural to resist the change. My approach is to set small intentions/goals and build on them. Sometimes we do not reach goals - this is not a failure, it is mor about not having found the right 'recipe' or approach for you to meet the intention.
Changing behavior is a process which involves our mindset - this takes time, and my philosophy is that my role is to guide you through the process, cheering you on and being your accountability person so you can be living the healthy life you desire.

I provide Nutrition Therapy both in person and virtually.
Nutrition Consultation
Collect a comprehensive intake including health history, family medical history, eating, exercise and sleep habits as well as the goals you hope to attain with nutrition counseling.
Our first visit is spent reviewing your particular dietary challenges and goals, assessing your current dietary practices, then creating a plan for dietary modifications to meet your goals.
Nutrition Follow up Visits
Follow up visits are designed to create accountability and troubleshoot challenges that come up with following the intentions discussed at previous visits.

Health Insurance Coverage
I am in network with many of the major health insurance companies.
Although your health insurance may list me as an in network provider, your health insurance plan may or may not cover my services.
I am not contracted with Medicare or Medicaid.
