Sending our two golden retrievers to TOP Dog Training for their three-week integration program was one of the best decisions we've made. From start to finish, the experience was very positive, and the communication was nothing short of excellent. Throughout the training, we received continuous video and picture updates, which not only showcased our dogs' progress but also served as an invaluable resource for us as owners. These updates allowed us to learn the training methods alongside our dogs, ensuring a seamless transition once they returned home. One of our dogs had resource guarding issues, and the trainers went above and beyond to address this challenge. Their dedication didn’t stop at training. They advised us on food and supplement choices to support hormone regulation and overall wellness. They even accompanied us to the vet to ensure our dog’s health was fully optimized prior to continuing training and incorporating more strenuous physical activity. Beyond behavioral improvements, the trainers' investment in the dogs' well-being and success was evident with every interaction. The trainers didn’t just teach commands; they fostered trust, confidence, and lasting behavior change, setting both our dogs and us up for success. We have been working with TOP Dog Training (TDT) for about 8 weeks with my 2 and 4 year old Frenchies and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. I’ve had experience with hiring trainers for a couple dogs I had before, and yet by far this company exceeds all expectations and truly delivers beyond of what’s promised. I gave them not one but two very challenging bulldogs that in addition to stubborn personality, had hard to break habits. In four weeks time they transformed these wild pups into well behave princesses. Now the work is all mine to continue. They also do a very good job in training the humans so the work has a long-term effect. I love the fact that they provide Lifetime continuous learning And remote or in person follow up. What I love most is the moment everything clicks for the dog and the owner. My background in teaching people within the special operations community helped shape my passion for instruction. Dogs learn fast, but let’s be honest, humans usually need a bit more convincing. Helping people feel confident, in control, and connected to their dog is the best part of what I do. That moment changes homes and lives, and it never gets old.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Before launching TOP Dog Training, both my head trainer and I worked in a commercial kennel environment. We realized those setups missed the mark for pet dogs. These weren’t working dogs, they were family dogs meant to live in the home. Yet, we were training them in an artificial setting. I knew there had to be a better way. I built a program rooted in real-life environments with a personal, in-home focus. That shift made all the difference.

We take your safety seriously. We offer outdoor sessions, contact-limited pick-ups and drop-offs, and sanitize all gear. For private lessons, we follow local safety guidelines and maintain respectful spacing. For those who prefer remote options, we deliver the same results-driven coaching online without compromising on structure or support.
In-Home Integration
Our most comprehensive training solution; We borrow your furry friend for a few weeks and LIVE WITH THEM 24/7. We only accept 2 dogs at a time in this type of program. Dogs in our Home Integration program average 70 hours a week of structured educational time. It blows a traditional commercial kennel program out of the water (trust us, we used to work in one exclusively).
