Todd Murray, guitarist, played acoustic guitar during the gathering time, ceremony, and cocktail hour for our daughter's outdoor wedding in September, 2024. He was the perfect choice for the day! His expansive set lists gave us plenty of great musical selections from which to choose. Todd was professional, responsive, and committed to our vision for the day. Todd played beautifully and easily transitioned from one location for gathering and ceremony, to a second location for the cocktail hour. We were thrilled when he agreed to add a song for the bride's processional that was new for him. Pure Imagination, from Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, was the bride's choice for her to walk up the sidewalk with her dad and Todd nailed it! I hired Todd to play at a small outdoor lunch in a converted barn in The Blue Ridge. I was very nervous doing so simply because I'd never heard him, nor did I know someone personally connected to him. From the start, Todd's communication alleviated some of my anxiety, but when he started to play? Perfection!! We could not have chosen a better musician for our event! Not only is he a gifted, talented and diverse musician, he's able to read a group instantly--he knew the right choices, volume, audience involvement--you name it! My only regret? He had all of his own equipment, which sounded awesome, and he brought all the great energy and good party vibes that we needed for the evening! What do you love most about your job?
Playing music is my favorite thing in the world so to be able to play music and make people happy is extremely rewarding for me.
What inspired you to start your own business?
I've been playing guitar since I was about 13. I had always played gigs and open mics here and there, but it was my wife who really inspired me to take the plunge and pursue music full time.
