Brunch was amazing! We had the crab cake eggs Benedict and the crab cake was soooo flavorful! And the chicken and waffles were delicious too!

Excellent service! Amazing food that came out hot and fresh! We ordered the Catfish Jenkins, what came first, crab cake Benedict, bloody Mary's and a pitcher of mimosas. I subbed the rice for Gouda grits with catfish jenkins! It was amazing! The crust on the catfish was so crispy and the fish was flaky. I got a side of hash, it was good but I prefer a crispy potato but I still ate it all! My man got the Benedicts What Came First and the Crab Cake Poach with a biscuit with gravy! Amazing. The Bentley Room is possibly the best food I've ever at. The service is amazing. They treat you like family and welcome you with a smile! We came with a larger party and everything went great! I ended up getting the Blacken salmon with crawfish Mac and asparagus with hot hollandaise sauce. Best meal I had in town! You should definitely give them a try. You will not be disappointed! More...

We sat in the Mirror Room for brunch today, and I probably don't have enough words to describe the food we got. I was so impressed! My boyfriend got the salmon omelet with hash, I got a fried chicken benedict with smoked gouda grits, and we split blueberry pancakes. I can't think of one bad thing to say. The salmon was perfect, the benedict was great, and we both agreed the blueberry pancakes were the best either of us have ever had. Our bartender Brooke was very attentive, and so fun to talk to. Would highly recommend the blackened catfish with crabmeat, shrimp and lemon butter sauce. It was the special but they should make this a regular menu item. The sautéed spinach had too much garlic in it. The catfish Jenkins and red beans and rice was just ok. The crab cheesecake was good but the pecan crust seemed off.They ARE open for dinner (M-Sat 4-10) despite the hours currently listed on yelp. More...

I experienced my first time at this fabulous dinning place for my birthday lunch. My boss and co-workers took me to lunch here. I have all good and positive things to say, not one negative word. The staff were friendly and courteous, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was awesome. We were the first ones to be seated for the lunch service. It is a nice enough atmosphere, and the waitstaff is friendly and attentive. Our waiter was absolutely delightful! Whether it was making sure drinks were refilled or ensuring that we were comfortable, this gentleman had it on lockdown. I ordered the Crab Louie salad, which if I'm being honest was a bit of a disappointment. The crab on the salad was very tasty, but the rest of the salad was mediocre. Plain iceberg lettuce, a couple of small tomatoes, a little bacon and avocado. I guess I'm just more of a robust salad type of girl. The fries I got on the side were sensational, although a bit salty.I would most definitely return when in downtown Alexandria both out of convenience and knowing that they have excellent service. This restaurant is another facet of the Hotel Bentley reopening that shows a lot of promise. The area is small and roomy. It shares the floor with their Mirror Room Lounge, which makes finding the bathroom a bit of a challenge . It is down the long hallway and through two sets of double doors. The menu itself is quite slim, with only a select number of choices. I have tried the blackened salmon which can be cooked a bit less to preserve the tenderness of the steak. The crawfish mac and cheese is definitely carb-centric, but delicious if you are craving a hearty "side" dish to your entree. Believe me, it is definitely a large portion. The soft shell crab is executed well. Their seared duck breast is very moist and tender, served with a mixed berry sauce. Definitely the most stellar dish of the night. The king cake bread pudding was an interesting take on the king cake favorite. It was soft and warm, heated to perfection. I have heard from previous visitors that their steak leaves room to be desired. I have not tried this entree so I cannot comment. Service tends to be on the slow side. If you are going with a large group, plan for a long wait for food to arrive. More...

3rd visit since they opened the restaurant. Â First time for lunch. Soups were really good. I had roasted garlic and my husband had shrimp and corn. I get grilled cheese wherever I go. Theirs is definitely one of the better ones I've had. Can't wait to visit again!! More...
