The Pooch Pros

Our dogs went for a three week board and train with the Pooch Pros and the transformation they had in that time is incredible. They were reactive to other dogs and not social at all. Our girls now will walk around and hang out with other dogs with no issues. They were also very hyperactive and now they are so much calmer. Angela spent time with us and answered all of our questions about continuing the training at home. Our dogs love Angela and I know they can’t wait to go back for boarding. Our sweet yet stubborn Maggie girl spent two weeks with Angela and George and wow, I am so impressed with the improvement Maggie has made in such a short amount of time! Maggie is very smart, however very stubborn and possessive over me and would never really listen to me, but would listen to my husband which caused a lot of frustration. We recently brought home our first child from the hospital, and Maggie showed a lot of possessiveness over me and would whine and snip at the baby! Definitely not what the reaction we expected and were heart broken. We reached out to the Pooch Pros and expressed our concerns and they responded quickly and took us in and she started training within the next couple of days! They worked hard and diligently with Maggie over her possessiveness and commands. She came home a calmer dog with a lot more confidence. She is now able to be around the baby without whining or nipping. She even will now sniff and lick her! She now responds well to her commands (especially with me)! We are so happy with the decision to not only board and train her, but choosing the Pooch Pros as the ones who took Maggie in. They were so kind, answered all our questions and concerns and loved Maggie like their own. They even came into our home after and showed us and went over everything so we were knowledgeable and able to continue to work with her daily. I cannot begin to say enough good things about Angela & George. They are certainly patient, kind, understanding, and knowledgeable about what they are doing. I have a Shepherd that was mistreated previously and fearful. On the other hand she can be so super sweet and loving. George and Angela recognized that and was willing to help us learn how to work through her anxiety. So many see a dog of River’s size and automatically decide that forceful training is the answer, due to her size. When in fact she’s just scared and wants to play ball. They were patient, kind, and loving and I must say they always have River’s best interest at heart. You will not go wrong working with Pooch Pros, and you will gain a valuable friendship for you and you dog along the way! They have been a complete Godsend for River and myself. More...

The Pooch Pros did a 1 month board & train for my extremely high energy/high anxiety Pitbull/Husky mix. I would not recommend using anyone other than the pooch pros for training or any other service. They drove over 3 hours to come pick up and drop off Mia, stayed in constant communication always sending videos etc of progress.

She went through a 100 day quarantine process in Hawaii which caused her to become very reactive & even aggressive towards other animals. It was to the point I did not let her interact with other animals and had to use a muzzle. She also developed severe separation anxiety since I work from home and is always used to having me around that I couldn’t even leave the house because she would cry like crazy. Mia also would be an absolute nightmare to walk pulling on the leash like crazy, she now walks behind me without pulling in just 1 month!

The pooch pros completely changed her temperament and confidence. I see a completely new dog & this is my first day back with her. In just one month they were able to kennel train her, have her interacting completely safely with other animals & children, learn commands, such as wait, place (to go in crate), sit, back, lay down. Etc. She is way more relaxed and is not getting easily distracted as she did prior to her training.

Mia was incredibly stubborn & I had pretty much given up all hope she would be able to go to public parks/interact with other animals & children.

The pooch pros use a very loving and humane strategy (positive reinforcement) to train their animals and treat them as if they are family. This was very important to me when I did my research because majority of trainers use E-collars which can cause fear and aggression in your animal and just amplify problems.

Angela and George were very professional and communicative. They worked with my puppy so that she is well behaved and socialized! I will refer them often.

They did a amazing job with my Dalmatian! She came back super well behaved and learned so much. Such sweet people highly recommend for dog training.

George and Angela were fantastic with our 6 month bernedoodle, Bernie Mac. They were so helpful in teaching him recall and leash walking among other manners in just 2 weeks. They are very knowledgable, professional and friendly. It is obvious they love and have a passion for dogs. I was impressed how they do not use shock collars and use positive reinforcement. They kindly kept me updated with videos of his progression. When they delivered him home (from San Angelo all the way to Stamford TX), they spent time with us teaching and showing us how to continue the training. They are WONDERFUL and I highly recommend them!!! I definitely will use them in future if needed! More...

Pooch Pros transformed our heeler! We took her because she had problems responding to basic commands. Pooch Pros drove from San Angelo to Clyde to come get her and after 2 weeks brought her back completely transformed! These guys are amazing!!!

George & Angela are kind and compassionate people. They did a great job with Oliver, our 5 month old golden doodle. He came home with new manners! He stays on place nicely and has stopped jumping. Left my sweet puppy this past weekend with these wonderful people and he had a blast with the other dogs. I would highly recommend them from the daily pictures, fast response time, and the fantastic pick up and drop off service so that we could get packed and have one less stop on our way out of town I could not have asked for better people to watch my puppy.
